  • In this study, the effect of the size of the specimen on the apparent resistivity was investigated at the laboratory level for electrical resistivity. The specimens were measured for apparent resistivity by fabricating specimens with different sides and heights. Experimental results show that the apparent resistivity increases as the side and height of the specimen become smaller. Also, it was confirmed that the influence of the size of the specimen on the electrical resistivity measurement was not linear.

  • The large size and high brightness backlight system for LCD panel inspection equipment was designed, fabricated, and evaluated. The cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) instead of the hot cathode fluorescent lamp (HCFL) were used as the light source. The inverters for driving multi-lamp CCFL backlight systems were also designed and fabricated. The measured luminance of the fabricated CCFL backlight system was 20,000 cd/$m^2$ and the uniformity of the backlight was 85%. The fabricated backlight system was successfully applied to the LCD panel inspection equipment.

  • Statical analysis for determination of LOT size was performed to make inspection standards on concrete pavement site applied correspondingly to KS Q 0001. As a result, minimum sampling frequency of strength inspection to certify the required flexural strength was analysed once for each $300m^3$ or once per day, nor less than.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop image inspection system endows an automatic operating and measuring that the moment values are invariant with respect to variable object size and rotation. In this paper, using these moment feature vector with Hu s 7 invariant moment is also given. The characteristics of section which is applied in the mechanics used moment descriptor of invariant moment detection algorithm for image inspection system. Corresponding rates between 94% and 96% have been achived for all object tested.

  • In this paper, we decompose the whole likelihood based on grouped data into conditional likelihoods and study the approximate contribution of additional inspection to the efficiency. We also combine the conditional maximum likelihood estimators to construct an approximate maximum likelihood estimator. For an exponential distribution, we see that a large inspection size does not increase the efficiency much if the failure rate is small, and the maximum likelihood estimator can be approximated with a linear function of inspection times.

  • Abstract: In this paper,an autoematic gear inspection system has been been developed using the computer aided vision system. Image processing and data analysis algorithms for gear inspection have been investigated and shown to perform quickly with high accuracy. As a result, dimensions of a gear can be measured upto few micrometer size in real time. In addition, the system can be applied to a practical manufacturing process even under nosiy conditions.

  • In the examination of steam generator(SG) tube in nuclear power plant, eddy current testing probes play an important role in detecting the defects. Bobbin probe and MRPC probe is usually used for the inspection of SG tube. Bobbin probe is good at high speed inspection, but ability of detection of circumferential defect is very weak. On the contrary MRPC probe, which moves for inspection in the direction of axial and circumferential simultaneously, has very slow inspection speed, but it has excellent detection capability for small cracks, which is hardly detected by bobbin probe. In this paper, for the accurate analysis of experimental ECT signals, construction of MRPC probe signals database according to the variation of defect size is the main purpose. Using 3-D finite element method, ECT signals are analyzed, and signals analysis add according to frequency ingredient. The results, which are analysis and characteristics ion of electromagnetism simulation signals, is databased.

  • Although unmanned aerial vehicles have been used to overcome the limited accessibility of human-based visual inspection, unresolved issues still remain. Onsite inspectors face difficulty finding previously detected damage locations and tracking their status onsite. For example, an inspector still marks the damage location on a target structure with chalk or drawings while comparing the current status of existing damages to their previous status, as documented onsite. In this study, an augmented-reality-based structural inspection system with onsite damage information marking was developed to enhance the convenience of inspectors. The developed system detects structural damage, creates a holographic marker with damage information on the actual physical damage, and displays the marker onsite via an augmented reality headset. Because inspectors can view a marker with damage information in real time on the display, they can easily identify where the previous damage has occurred and whether the size of the damage is increasing. The performance of the developed system was validated through a field test, demonstrating that the system can enhance convenience by accelerating the inspector's essential tasks such as detecting damages, measuring their size, manually recording their information, and locating previous damages.
