In order to deal with consumer's demand changes in market condition, it is necessary to have a study on the consumer behavior to promote seafood consumption. The objective of this study is to examine the factors that have influences on consumer involvement of seafood. It is also aim to examine how the situation of seafood factors influences the consumer's behavior in purchasing and consuming the seafood. In this study, I have conducted a survey by using Busan housewives as random sampling. To examine this variable, situation factors that I used if the factor analysis. I also performed a multiple regression analysis to understand how the situation factors influenced the consumer's emotion and their satisfaction within the level of involvement. The result showed that consumer involvement seafood is created by not only interests and preferences, but also knowledge, perceived risk and profits. The seafood situation factors are divided into purchase situation, consumption situation and communication situation: purchase situation includes store factor, while consumption situation includes health factor and cooking-motive factor and communication situation includes information factor. Results of examining whether there are differences in the involvement explains that the involvement is different according to the level and it is divided into 2 groups. The first groups is the high-involvement group that shows preferences and interests, perceived risk and profits. Another group is the low-involvement group that shows preferences and interests, knowledge and profits. The result on examining whether situation sectors have influences on the involvement shows that high-involvement group is only affected by store factor in purchase situation and low-involvement group is only affected by information factor in communication situation.

Previous studies show that working wives in the market contribute to the family economy that affects the family member's behaviors as consumers. Accordingly, the consumer behavior among working wives would be differ form that among nonworking wives. As the number of working wives in the market is increasing, this study focuses on the estimation of the degree of rationality in purchasing decision making among wives in relation to their working status. Therefore, this study attempts to construct an rationality index of a purchasing decision making both at a high and a low involvement situation by working and nonworking wives, and analyzes the differences in the results of the two groups. This study also examines how the rationality indices vary with the selected socioeconomic variables. The data are obtained from self-administered questionnaires from a sample of 217 working and 191 nonworking wives at Seoul and Seongnam in 1986. The statistical methods used in this study are Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression, and Analysis of Variances. The major findings of this study are as follows; 1) The mean value of the rationality index among nonworking wives is higher than that among working wives. Under a high involvement situation, the mean value of the rationality index among working wives is negative. Therefore, it is likely that nonworking wives make purchasing decisions more rationally than working wives. 2) The higher the degree of wive's education, the more rational the purchasing decision making. Under a low involvement situation, the higher the monthly family income, the more rational the purchasing decision making . under the same situation, the shorter the duration of marriage , the more rational the purchasing decision making. 3) Under a low involvement situation, the rationality indices of working wives vary with their occupations. The rationality indices among those in selling and service jobs are lower than those among those in professional jobs. 4) The impact of the selected socio-economic variables on the degree of the rationality in purchasing decision making differs depending on whether the wife is working or not. Under a low involvement situation, the positive impact of the monthly family income on the rationality in purchasing decision making is stronger among nonworking wives than among working wives. Under the same situation, the negative impact of the duration of marriage on the rationality is stronger among nonworking wives than among working wives.
The purpose of this study was to test the effect of the clothing purchasing situation on the preceived risk and information search behavior. Data were obtained from 369 students who were studying in Semyung University. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Students gave the clothing to their favorites as a gift 1 to 2 times in a year. And they thought self using purchasing was more important than gift giving purchasing. 2. In gift giving purchasing, perceived risks were higher than self using purchasing. But the economic risk was the exception. In that case, students showed more information search behavior except family search source. 3. According to the situation, main and interactive effect of sex and involvement level on perceived risk and information search behavior were significant. In self using purchasing, involvement level had the main effect to the type of information search behavior. But the family search source was the exception Also in gift giving purchasing, they showed the same results. In self using purchasing, main effects of sex and involvement level on perceived risk were significant. Also in gift giving purchasing, they showed the same results, but the socio-psychological risk was the exception.
Community involvement is to be the keystone of primary health care, Unfortunately, efforts to promote it failed in many countries. Author inquired into the reasons why such efforts fail, and the alternative strategies for effectively promoting it in Korean situation today. In doing so, the concept of community involvement is clarified as an amalgamation of two different concepts; one is that of the community development, and the other is that of approaches for overcoming the alienation of the people from the health care process. Stategies of community involvement in Korea so far followed the line of the community development, e.g. village health worker. It loses, however, the feasibility as Korea has experinced so cial and economic developpment. The strategies of the second line of thought is now more feasible; empowering the people by providing more information and enhancing comitment to health, improving acceptabilty of community involvemt on the part of the health professionals and the bureaucrats, and building the mechanism of community involvement into the health policy-making process.
Purpose - Color is perceived to have an effect on humans' cognition and behavior because of its association with specific concepts. Since there are few studies linking color and price presentation, we investigated a constrained condition of consumers' regulatory focus and involvement. Research design, data, and methodology - We performed a 2 (color: red vs. black) × 2 (regulatory focus: prevention vs. promotion) × 2 (involvement: high vs. low) test of our hypothesis. The target product was a portable data storage device (USB) and data from 165 respondents were analyzed. Each condition had two stages. In the first, product information and price were presented. After reviewing the product information, respondents evaluated price attractiveness. In the second stage, respondents filled out regulatory focus and involvement questionnaires. The main variables were color, regulatory focus, and involvement. Therefore, we ran a three-way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) to test our hypothesis. Results - When the price was red (vs. black), consumers perceived the red price as more attractive than the black price. However, this effect varied by situation. Specifically, in the low involvement condition among prevention-focused consumers, when the price was in red, price attractiveness was higher than when the price was in black. However, for promotion-focused consumers, there was no difference in the price color effect. In the high involvement condition, promotion-focused consumers showed stronger price attractiveness for the red price than the black price. However, the effect of price color diminished for prevention-focused consumers. That is, prevention-focused consumers did not reveal a different price perception between red versus black in the high involvement condition. Conclusions - This research contributes by academically linking the effects of color to price attractiveness, and focusing on the interaction of regulatory focus and involvement. When involvement is low, the effect of red disappeared for promotion-focused consumers, whereas the same happened for prevention-focused consumers under the condition of high involvement.
Parents are one of the principal agents of education along with students and teachers. The father, who is also a member of the educational community, plays a role in and has responsibility for his children's education. But, in Korea, as mothers are largely responsible for the children's care and education, fathers' school involvement has not been treated as a research subject. However, changes in family structure and function have challenged the notion of the father's traditional role. Recently, the father who participates actively in the rearing and education of his child has emerged as a new trend of the father model. It has been proven through many studies that the father's involvement has unique positive effects on his children, a phenomenon known as the "father effect". This research investigates the father's school involvement through focus group interviews with fathers. The results showed that the father's school participation rate was not high, while the father's desire for school participation was very high. These results are explained by the situation of fathers having no time or pathway to participate in their children's school. In order to enable fathers' participation, leave for school participation needs to be implemented and the development of fathers' activities is necessary. A father education program is needed to bring about changes resulting in fathers' greater participation in their children's education. This study suggests policy implications for supporting fathers' school involvement.
A rapid in increase in population of Internet users made the Internet appeared to be an important advertising medium. Under this situation, one of important research issues will be one related to measurement of Internet advertising effect. This study was carried out with three following projects which set up on the basis of the Modified Elaboration Likelihood Model of Cho(1999). (1) Analysis of differences in banner click, advertising attitude and buying intention according to the product involvement levels. (2) Analysis of differences in banner click, advertising attitude and buying intention according to the product involvement levels and website types. (3) Analysis of differences in banner click, advertising attitude and buying intention according to the product involvement levels and banner advertisement types. The experiment was conducted in a manner that virtual websites and banner advertisements produced for the purpose of this study were classified into eight groups according to the product involvement levels, website types and banner advertisement, and then questionnaire sheets were filled out. The results of empirical analysis are summarized by the research projects as follows. (1) The banner click, advertising attitude and buying intention according to the product involvement levels were not significant. (2) There was no significant difference in the banner click according to the product involvement levels and website types. In the advertising attitude, there was a significant effect of interaction, whereas in the buying intention there was no significant effect of interaction. (3) There was a significant difference in the banner click by the product involvement levels and banner advertisement types. Concretely the click rate appeared to be high in literal banner advertisement for a product with high involvement and in pictorial banner advertisement for a product with low involvement. It is expected that this study can provide Internet advertising researchers and managers with theoretical and the practical informations.
