  • The output power of photovoltaic(PV) system is variation due to the change in the insolation, temperature and etc. This problem can be overcome if the system is connected to storage batteries and the power system. According to, this paper propose photovoltaic Voltage Source Inverter, which would be connected utility interactive system. It has been experimentally verified that maximum power can be obtained by varing modulation index(MI).

  • This paper proposes a cascaded boost type inverter system to compensate the voltage sag. If the voltage sag has appeared in input voltage, a cascaded boost converter would be operated to compensate voltage sag. The output voltage is kept constant by a direct-quadrature frame controller in the single-phase PWM inverter. The validity of proposed system is verified by simulation on the 300W cascaded boost type inverter system.

  • A direct draft measurement system was developed based on the swingle tree- the rear component of the single-animal harnessing (or yoking) system . The prototype was made from a tube, on which four strain gages were attached. The pull of the draft animal through the flexible pull chains or ropes causes the beam to bend, The bending strain is sensed by the strain gages and the bridge converts this to a voltage signal. Counterweights keep the tube correctly oriented if the angle of pull changes , while end bearing follow the variations in the angle of pull. Hence, the voltage output is proportional to the draft. the device has highly linear response, acceptable sensitivity negligible error and hysteresis. It is suitable for electronic data acquisition, non-intrusive , easy to attach and detach and is reasonably priced.

  • In this paper, a novel multi voltage inverter system is proposed for reductions of harmonics, which can compensate reactive power. At first, we remove capacitor at input side for reactive power compensation. Secondly, by adding DC voltage to the filter capacitor, it can control power factors as lead-phase according to alterations of loads at power reception. Thirdly, if winding and single phase-bridge inverter(auxiliary circuit) is installed to DC power for reduction of harmonic, waveform of output voltages become to 36-steps. Thus, SVC(static var compensator) systems which can reduce harmonics are designed.

An INS Filter Design Considering Mixed Random Errors of Gyroscopes

  • We propose a filter design method to suppress the effect of gyroscope mixed random errors at INS system level. It is based on the result that mixed random errors can be represented by a single equivalent ARMA model. At first step, the time difference of equivalent ARMA process is performed, which consider the characteristic of indirect feedback Kalman filter used in INS filter. Next, a state space conversion of time differenced ARMA model is achieved. If the order of AR is greater than that of MA, the controllable or observable canonical form is used. Otherwise, we introduce the state equation of which the state variable is composed of the ARMA model output and several step ahead predicts of that. At final step, a complete form state equation is presented. The simulation results shows that the proposed method gives less transient error and better convergence compared to the conventional filter which assume the mixed random errors as white noise.

  • Recent advances in wireless sensor networks have led to many routing protocols designed for energy-efficiency in wireless sensor networks. Despite that many routing protocols have been proposed in wireless sensor networks, a single routing protocol cannot be energy-efficient if the environment of the sensor network varies. This paper presents a fuzzy logic based Adaptive Routing (FAR) algorithm that provides energy-efficiency by dynamically changing protocols installed at the sensor nodes. The algorithm changes protocols based on the output of the fuzzy logic which is the fitness level of the protocols for the environment. A simulation is performed to show the usefulness of the proposed algorithm.

  • For feedback control of a linear dynamic system the optimum linear state regulator (OLSR) can be implemented only if all states are available for feedback. This work demonstrates that when only the output state is available for feedback, a nonlinear controllers can give improved performance over that obtained by a proportional controller. This paper found the optimal control law by dynamic programming and principles of optimalityl. This, performances of both proportional and nonlinear controllers are compared with performance of optimum linear state regulator.

  • In this paper we use discrete simulation method to get the criteria of system evaluation required in the case of designing the complicated probabilistic event system having discrete probabilistic variables and to search the effective and reliable alternatives to satisfy the objective value of the given system through on-line, single run within the short time period. If we find the alternative we construct the algorithm which change values of decision variables and determining alternative by using the stopping algorithm which end the simulation in the steady state of system. In order to prevent the loss of data when we analyze the acquired design alternative in the steady state we provide the background of the estimation of the autoregressive model and mean and confidence interval for evaluating correctly the objective function obtained by the small amount of output data through the short time period simulation.

  • If the speed measurement of resolver and the generation of PWM signals are implemented with single microcontroller, it is easy to reduce the system cost and to avoid the switching noise of inverters. To avoid the switching noise and to improve the accuracy of measurement, PWM switching and A/D sampling of the resolver should be synchronized. Phase angle of the resolver excitation signal is increased in stepwise manner, then, the output signal of the resolver is measured in each step. From the measured data, the optimal phase angle of resolver excitation signal is estimated using the least square approximation method.

  • This paper describes the development of RF front.end equipment of a wide band high precision satellite navigation receiver to be able to receive the currently available GPS navigation signal and the GALILEO navigation signal to be developed in Europe in the near future. The wide band satellite navigation receiver with high precision performance is composed of L - band antenna, RF/IF converters for multi - band navigation signals, and high performance baseband processor. The L - band satellite navigation antenna is able to be received the signals in the range from 1.1 GHz to 1.6 GHz and from the navigation satellite positioned near the horizon. The navigation signal of GALILEO navigation satellite consists of L1, E5, and E6 band with signal bandwidth more than 20 MHz which is wider than GPS signal. Due to the wide band navigation signal, the IF frequency and signal processing speed should be increased. The RF/IF converter has been designed with the single stage downconversion structure, and the IF frequency of 140 MHz has been derived from considering the maximum signal bandwidth and the sampling frequency of 112 MHz to be used in ADC circuit. The final output of RF/IF converter is a digital IF signal which is generated from signal processing of the AD converter from the IF signal. The developed RF front - end has the C/N0 performance over 40dB - Hz for the - 130dBm input signal power and includes the automatic gain control circuits to provide the dynamic range over 40dB.
