The high accurate simulation of very thin glue layers based on the finite element method is still connected to many problems which result from the necessity to construct a complicated mesh of essentially different sizes of elements. This can lead to a loss of accuracy, unstable calculations and even loss of convergence. However, the implementation of special transmission elements along the glue ling and special edge-elements in the near-edge region would lead to a dramatic decrease of number of finite elements in the mesh and thus, prevent unsatisfactory phenomena in numerical analysis and extensive computation time. The theoretical basis for such special elements is the knowledge about appropriate transmission conditions and the edge effects near the free boundary of the adhesive layer. Therefore, recently proposed so-called non-classical transmission conditions and the behavior near the free edge are investigated in the context of the single-lap tensile-shear test of adhesive technology.
The structures of the egg envelope in fertilized eggs of three species of characidae, head and tail light fish (Hemigrammus ocellifer), black tetra (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi), and buenos aires tetra (Hemigrammus caudovittatus) were studied using light and electron microscopes. The fertilized eggs in all species were colorless, transparent, spherical and non-floted type. The egg envelopes have a single micropyle resembling the pathway of sperm in the area of the animal pole. The micropyle was surrounded by protruded lines of the egg envelope in a radiated form. Egg envelopes of fertilized eggs in both head and tail light fish and buenos aires tetra consisted of three distinct layers; an outer layer, a middle layer and an inner layer. And that of blacktetra consisted of two layers; an outer layer and an inner layer. Also, an outer layers of both head and tail light fish and black tetra were adhesive types but, in that of buenous aires tetra was non-adhesive type. An outer surface of egg envelope in black tetra was arranged by pores regularly. In that of head and tail light fish and buenos aires tetra have a rough side. An inner layer of egg envelope in fertilized eggs consisted of lamellae alternating with interlamellae of lower electron density; an inner layer of fertilized eggs in head and tail light fish consisted of three layers, that of black tetra was four layers, and that of buenos aires tetra was five layers.

The unique effects of highly conductive conducting polymer/SWNT (single walled carbon nanotube) composite nanoparticles in electric double layer capacitors are studied for the enhancement of the adhesive properties, specific capacitance and power characteristics of the electrode. Because the conducting polymer/SWNT composite material, which is believed to act as a polymer binder, an active material for charge storage and a conducting agent, is well distributed on the activated carbon, greatly enhanced adhesion properties, cell capacitance and power characteristics were obtained.
치아 교환시기에 발거된 치관이 건전한 유구치 상아질 표면을 One-Bottle 상아질 결합제인 Primer & Bond NT(DeTrey/Dentsply, Konstanz, Germany)와 Single Bond(3M Co. U.S.A.) 그리고 대조군으로 Scotchbond Multipurpose System(3M Co. U.S.A.)
The purpose of this study was to compare microleakage and marginal hybrid layer in class V restorations using two one-bottle adhesives and one self-etching adhesive. Class V cavity preparations with occlusal margins in enamel and gingival margins in dentin were pre-pared on buccal and lingual surfaces of 30 extracted human molar teeth. Prepared teeth were randomly divided into three treatment groups (n=30) and restored with three adhesives and composites: Single Bond/Filtek Z-250 (Group 1), Prime&BondNT/Esthet.X (Group 2), UniFil Bond/UniFil F (Group 3). For microleakage, samples were stored in room temperature water for 24 hours, thermocycled stained with 2% methylene blue dye, sectioned into halves, scored and analysed using Mann-whitney test and Wilcoxon signed rank sum test. For marginal hybrid layer, samples were sectioned into halves, treated with 10% phosphoric acid for 5 seconds, stored in 5% NaOCL solution for 24 hours, dried and gold coated. Occlusal and gingival margins of each sample were inspected under SEM. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. Microleakage at the occlusal margins was not evident in group 1 and group 2, but it showed in group 3 (p<0.05). 2. Microleakage in group 1 and group 3 was significantly lower than in group 2 at gingival margins (p<0.05). 3. Microleakage at gingival margins was greater than at occlusal margins in group 1 and group 2, but microleakage at occlusal margins was greater than at gingival margins in group 3 (p<0.05). 4. In group 1 and group 2, no gaps at occlusal margins showed. But gaps showed in group 3. Occlusal margins were free from a hybrid layer in all groups 5. The thickness of the marginal hybrid layers was 2.5~5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thick in group 5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thick in group 2 and 1.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thick in group 3. 6 There was no corelation between microleakage and thickness of marginal hybrid layer. In coclusion, the effect of dentin adhesives on microleakge in class V composite restorations was excellent when one-bottle adhesives were applied on enamel margin, and it was good when a self-etching adhesive was applied on dentinal margin. There was no corelation between microleakage and thickness of marginal hybrid layer.
This study presents an explicit dynamic analysis of an adhesively bonded single-lap joint under an impact load. The finite element software, ANSYS LS-DYNA, was used for the analysis and Von Mises stresses were obtained from the analysis. To model the adherents, solid elements were used and a rigid body was assumed for impactor modeling. Three impact heights (1 m, 5 m, and 10 m) were applied to consider different impact conditions and infinite boundary conditions were applied to the end-area of each adherent to save computational time in the analysis. In addition to investigating the stresses in the normal state, we also investigated the stresses in a damaged state (elasticity deterioration), simulated by a change in Young's modulus for 36 of the 3600 elements in the upper layer of the adhesive. The results showed that the location of damage is critical to the stress state of each layer (upper, middle, and lower).

In the goby Micropercops swinhonis, the development of its egg's enveloping layers could be divided into 4 stages. In the earliest developmental period, stage I, there is a simple oocyte surrounded by a layer of squamous follicular cells. Stage II corresponds to the yolk vesicle stage of vitellogenesis. Here the initial follicular layer has become bilaminar with the retention of its outer squamous cell layer and the acquisition of an inner cuboidal cell layer just over the zona radiata. The number and size of the cuboidal cells increases throughout this stage. Stage III corresponds to the yolk granule stage of true vitellogenesis. Here the cuboidal cells begin to be replaced by columnar cells. As the oocyte grows, the columnar cells increase in size. The columnar cells produce cytoplasmic neutral mucins and by the end of this stage their cytoplasm has been filled with this mucin. In stage IV a single layer of squamous cells still remained as the outer follicular layer of the oocyte. The secretory activity of the inner follicular layers' columnar cells has ceased and they had lost their cell wall integrity and ended as a series of bullet-shaped, neutral mucin deposits.
We report a one-step fabrication of single-crystal organic nanowire arrays on substrates using a new direct printing method (liquid-bridge-mediated nanotransfer moulding, LB-nTM), which can simultaneously enable the synthesis, alignment and patterning of the nanowires using molecular ink solutions. Two- or three-dimensional complex structures of various single-crystal organic nanowires were directly fabricated over a large area with a successive process. The position of the nanowires can be aligned easily on complex structures because the mold is movable on substrates before drying the polar liquid layer, which acts as an adhesive lubricant. This efficient manufacturing method can produce a wide range of optoelectronic devices and integrated circuits with single-crystal organic nanowires.
The purpose of this study was to compare shear bond strength and interfacial pattern of composite bond-ed to dentin using self-etching adhesive systems. Sixty extracted human molars with exposed occlusal dentin were divided into four groups and bonded with four adhesives and composites. Single Bond/Filtek Z 350(SB), Tyrian SPE-One-Step Plus/Aelitefil(TY), Prompt L-Pop/Filtek Z 250(LP), and One-Up Bond F/palfique Toughwell(OU). The results of this study were as follows; 1 Shear bond strength for OU was significantly lower than that of other groups(p<0.05). No significant difference was founded among SB, TY, and LP. 2. Failure modes to dentin showed adhesive and mixed for SB TY and LP, but them for OU showed adhesive in all spceimens. 3. Dentin-resin interface showed close adaptation for SB, TY, and LP, but it showed gap for OU. 4. The hybrid layers for TY, LP OU were thinner than that of SB. Adhesive layers were observed between composite and hybrid layer, which were 5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thick for TY and 10 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thick for OU.
