  • This paper include the results of the software interface design for the ground vehicle simulators. This design allows us to upgrade the simulator easily by exchanging the engineering model when we need to change the function of algorithm or data of a simulator. That is because a main part of simulator is composed of reusable model.

  • In this paper, we will present brief design feature, implementations, and tests for verification of KOMPSAT-2 simulator, which is a subsystem of KOMPSAT-2 MCE. SIM is implemented on PC server to minimize costs and troubles on embedding onboard flight software into SIM, OOA/OOD methodology is employed to maximized S/W reusability, and XML is used for S/C characteristics, TC, TM and Simulation data instead of commercial DB. Consequently, we can reduce costs for the system, efforts embedding flight software, and maximize software reusability. SIM subsystem test was performed successfully.

  • A naphtha reforming process treats the feed naphtha for the production of BTX and high octane gasoline. In this paper, the development of NAFOS (Naphtha Reformer Steady-State Simulator), which is the efficient tool for the wide range of reforming process studies, is presented. NAFOS system is based on the sequential modular approach and composed of unit computation routines, physical properties data base, numerical routines, flowsheet convergence routine and user interfaces for input-output control. The developed NAFOS system has been tested by computation of the UOP Platforrming process. Simulation results of NAFOS corresponded with that of established general purpose simulator (ASPEN PLUS), and faster for the same simulation case.

  • A simulator is designed in order to evaluate the performance a f a lockup controller. The original analog controller and boiler plant are transformed into digital form model, in which the plant is modeled as a 2 input-2 output system connected to first order peripheral units. The experimented results show that the simulated system renders the same steady state characteristics as data and show usability of simulator.

  • This paper presents the construction of Digital DAS system for supervising of power system simulator (KERISIM) which is developed in KERI. This system is composed of input transducer, input conditioner and digital supervisor. In order to watch P,Q,V,I, Power Factor and RMS in KERISIM successively, Digital arithmetic algorithm is accomplished to calculate Real/Reactive power from voltage/current data which is transferred by secondary part of CT/PT in simulator.

  • The main purpose of this study is to develope a Simulator for Central Traffic Controller(CTC) which can check the operating status of CTC and support tile maintenance procedure. The simulator supervise the CTC processor units and the data transmission between the CTC modules and the railway station equipments to define the validity of system functions and notify whether the eqipments are good or not. With the help of the simulator we could detect the error of CTC equipments easily. repair the faults efficiently. and improve tile reliability of CTC system.

  • Training power tiller operators in safe farming is necessary to avoid farming accidents. With the continuing progress in computational technology, driving simulators have become increasingly popular for conducting such training. Purpose: The objective of this study is to develop mock control devices and data acquisition apparatus for a tiller simulator. Methods: Except for the stand and tail wheel adjusting levers, the mock control devices were developed using a tiller handle assay. The data acquisition apparatus was realized using an embedded data-logging device and LabVIEW, the system design software. Results: The control devices of a real handle assay were successfully mimicked by the mock operator control devices, which used sensors for the relevant measurements. The data from the mock devices were acquired and transmitted to the main computer at intervals of 10 ms via Wi-Fi. Conclusions: The developed mock control devices operate similar to real power tillers and can be utilized in power tiller training simulators.

  • Simulator is composed of several devices that have a variety of forms and functions. These devices are connected to each other by a network intricately. For this reason, simulator development and maintenance process require a lot of time and money. In order to successfully develop the simulator, it is ideal that related professionals share the work and work together in parallel. However, development is carried out inefficiently, because task interdependence makes it difficult to work in parallel. In this paper, the developments of the simulator were classified into algorithm development and system development, and it was discussed how to lower the interdependence of these two tasks and support professionals. In particular, based on the requirements analysis of the domain experts responsible for the development of the algorithm, we designed the support tool for simulator development and proposed development process using this tool. We also introduced the concept of a DataSet in order to support algorithm development of domain experts and manage data flexibly. And we designed network architecture to enable flexible reconfiguration of simulator equipment. By using the tools to support the simulator development, domain experts are able to concentrate on algorithm development and it is expected to be effective collaboration. In addition, the development plan and management are expected to be easy because the development process is systematic and clearer.

  • 6-DOE simulator system is designed to real-time processing for motion control, data acquisition, image generation and image processing etc.. In this paper, we introduce hardware and software design technologies for distributed processing, event-trapping, system monitoring and time scheduling procedure in 6-DOF simulator system design.
