고속국도용 SB3등급 전이구간 방호울타리 개발 및 성능평가 (Development and performance evaluation of SB3-level roadside barrier for highway transition zone)

  • PURPOSES : In this research, an SB3-level roadside barrier for a highway transition zone that meets the newly established guide Installation and Management Guide for Roadside Safety Appurtenance is developed. Its performance is evaluated by a numerical simulation and real-scale vehicle impact test. METHODS : The commercial explicit dynamic software LS-DYNA is utilized for impact simulation. An FE model of a passenger vehicle developed and released by the National Crash Analysis Center (NCAC) at George Washington University and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) model developed by the TC226/CM-E Work Group are utilized for impact simulation. The original vehicle models were modified to reflect the conditions of test vehicles. The impact positions of the passenger vehicle and truck to the transition guardrail were set as 1/2 and 3/4 of the transition region, respectively, according to the guide. RESULTS : Based on the numerical simulation results of the existing transition barrier, a new structural system with improved performance was suggested. According to the result of a numerical simulation of the suggested structural system, two sets of transition barriers were manufactured and installed for real-scale vehicle impact tests. The tests were performed at a test field for roadside safety hardware of the Korea Highway Corporation Research Institute. CONCLUSIONS : The results of both the real-vehicle impact tests and numerical simulations of the developed transition barrier satisfied the performance criteria, and the results of numerical simulation showed good correlation with the test results.

Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice 전문 소생술 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호사의 수행 능력, 자신감과 만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice Advanced Life Support Simulation Education on Nurse's Performance, Confidence, and Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 간호사를 대상으로 초기 심정지 5분 간 수행능력, 자신감 향상을 위해 전통적 시뮬레이션 교육 방법과 Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice(RCDP) 시뮬레이션 교육 방법을 받은 전·후 변화를 확인하고 두 그룹 간의 수행 능력, 자신감, 만족도를 비교 하고자 시도되었으며 연구 대상자는 서울 소재 병원의 간호사로 그룹 1은 62명으로 RCDP 시뮬레이션 방법을 그룹 2는 60명으로 전통적 시뮬레이션 교육 방법으로 총 122명의 간호사에게 전문 소생술 교육을 진행 하였다. 2019년 3월 18일부터 29일 까지 자료 수집을 하였으며 자료 분석은 SPSS Version 23.0 프로그램으로 서술적 통계, Fisher's exact test, t-test, Wilcoxon sign rank test, Mann-Whitney U-test를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 RCDP와 전통적 시뮬레이션 교육의 두 그룹 간에는 수행 능력의 일부 항목(z=-2.02, p=0.044 / z=-2.42, p=0.015 / z=-3.03, p=0.002)은 유의한 차이를 보였으나 수행 자신감(z=0.388, p=0.699)과 만족도(t=.72, p=0.476)에서 두 그룹간의 차이는 없었다. 본 연구는 전통적 시뮬레이션 교육 방법과 RCDP 시뮬레이션 교육 방법 모두 간호사의 전문 소생술 수행 능력 및 자신감을 높이는데 효과적인 교육 방법임을 확인하였다. 따라서 간호사 대상 전문 소생술 교육시 교육 대상 및 내용에 따라 적절한 시뮬레이션 방법을 적용하고 다양한 분야에 RCDP 시뮬레이션 교육 방법을 활용하여 효과성을 확인 해 볼 것을 제언한다.

  • A simulation technique, which simulate dynamic motion and communication environments of ship in the lab, is needed in order to reduce the testing cost when we evaluate the transfer alignment performance of shipboard INS. Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation(HILS) can be used as an effective test method for those system because it can provide flexible and realistic simulation environments, various test scenario, and repeated test environment in the lab without additional cost and person. This paper presents the methods for implementing the real time HILS environment for testing transfer alignment performance of shipboard INS. It includes real time executive for controlling realtime simulation and calculating the ship motion, communication method for interfacing between the systems, and coordinate transformation method for converting real ship coordinate attitude data to lab coordinate attitude data.

  • 시뮬레이션은 어떤 문제를 모의적으로 실험하여 그 특성을 파악하는 작업이다. 시뮬레이션 과정에서는 시뮬레이션 모델, 알고리즘, 입출력 데이터의 교체 및 변경이 빈번하게 발생한다. 특히 알고리즘의 교체를 통한 시뮬레이션 작업의 경우 알고리즘을 구현한 컴포넌트가 교체될 때 기능적으로 정확하게 동작하지 않는다면 시뮬레이션 작업을 성공적으로 수행하기 어렵다. 이 논문에서는 소프트웨어 기반 위성항법 시뮬레이션 환경에서 교체될 컴포넌트가 기능적으로 정확하게 구현되어 있는지를 검증하기 위한 테스트 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이 프레임워크는 컴포넌트가 교체되는 시점에서 교체되는 컴포넌트의 상황에 맞게 기능 테스트를 수행할 수 있게 해준다.

  • Ultrasonic testing has a characteristics such as excellent permeability, high-sensitivity to find defect and an almost exact measurement for position. size and direction of inner defect, which differ from other non-destructive testing. In the study, we developed program into optimal testing condition, to distinguish obstacle echo and defect position. This program shows generation and processing of ultrasonic pulse. We compared simulation with ultrasonic test in 45$^\circ$, 60$^\circ$and 70$^\circ$transducer. Test results were in accordance with simulation within 0.1~7.2%.

  • Test in the development of vehicle consist of driving test and simulation test. The last one has many advantages. It can reduce time and cost during development, can overcome the spacial and environmental limitation, and can provides repeatabilities of similar experiments and various data. In these reason, the simulation test is used more for analysis and development of new vehicle. In this research the result of kinematic analysis on multi-axis simulator is compared with the simulated result using dynamic analysis program, ADAMS, and the maximum stress and strain are analyzed for the safety of link and specifications of optimal design using finite element method.

  • The Combat Computer Consoles installed in surface ships should endure harsh environment such as vibration from engine or propeller and shock from underwater explosion. Generally, commercial isolation mounts are selected and used for anti-vibration and anti-shock design. In this research, the environment of the Combat Computer Console was analyzed first. Selected proper mount was modeled and computer simulation was performed to emulate the environment test. The real environment test was conducted with a manufactured Combat Computer Console. The test results were same as the simulation and satisfied the performance requirements. The computer simulation proved to be a useful design tool to predict the performance before the final environment test.

RTS test study and numerical simulation of mechanical properties of HDR bearings

  • High Damping Rubber bearings (HDR bearings) have been used in the seismic design of bridge structures widely in China. In earthquakes, structural natural periods will be extended, seismic energy will be dissipated by this kind of bearing. Previously, cyclic loading method was used mainly for test studies on mechanical properties of HDR bearings, which cannot simulate real seismic responses. In this paper, Real-Time Substructure (RTS) test study on mechanical properties of HDR bearings was conducted and it was found that the loading rate effect was not negligible. Then the influence of peak acceleration of ground motion was studied. At last test results were compared with a numerical simulation in the OpenSees software framework with the Kikuchi model. It is found that the Kikuchi model can simulate real mechanical properties of HDR bearings in earthquakes accurately.

  • This paper presents a Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) based simulation and experimental tracer test of flow pattern and turbulent energy dissipation inside a serpentine flocculation basin with continuous operation. Research focused on the evaluation of a specific flow pattern on the hydraulic behavior on the flocculation basin. From the results of CFD simulation and actual tracer test, both results were in good accordance with each other. Also, each Morill index were calculated as 1.5 from CFD simulation and 1.7 from actual tracer test, respectively. Especially, turbulence energy was dissipated relatively higher in the vicinity of inlet to the flocculation basin than other region. The differences between the CFD simulation and actual tracer test were 1.4 min in $T_{50}$, and 1.3 min in $T_p$, respectively.

  • This study was carried out to develop a system and methodology to simulate the engine load variation occuring during agricultural field operations for a laboratory engine test. The system consisted of an electric dynamometer, an Apple II microcomputer, and a data acquisition and control system. Several pieces of instruments were utilized to measure various engine performance data. Both engine torque and engine speed were fully controlled by a computer program. The dynamic characteristics of the system were analyzed through a series of tests and the limitations on the load simulation test were presented. The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1. Engine speed and toque were controlled by a computer program. The use of a stepping motor and reduction gears enabled engine speed be controlled within 1 rpm. 2. The natural frequency of the dynamometer-engine system was found to be around 5 Hz, at which the load simulation would be impossible because of resonance. 3. For the harmonic inputs with the frequencies above the natural frequency, the signal attenuated too much and therefore the load simulation was impossible. 4. The step response of the system showed an overshoot of 24.5 percent and the settling time for 5 percent criterion was around 3 seconds. 5. When actual field test data are utilized for load simulation, a low-pass filter should be included to attenuate the frequency components around and above the natural frequency.
