  • The development of a simulation system requires many sub modules such as a dynamic module, a visualization module, etc. If a different freeware is used for each sub modules, it is hard to develop the simulation system by incorporating them because they use their own data structures. To solve this problem, a high-level data structure, called Dynamics Scene Graph Data structure (DSGD) is proposed, by wrapping data structures of two freeware; an Open Dynamics Engine (ODE) for the dynamic module and an Open Scene Graph (OSG) for the visualization module. Finally, to evaluate the applicability of the proposed data structure, it is applied to the block erection simulation in shipbuilding. The result shows that it can be used for developing the simulation system.

  • This presents the equivalent circuit model of solar cell with irradiation and temperature condition. Based on solar cell model, the photovoltaic module specification of manufacturer compare with photovoltaic module simulation and is investigated by simulation results. The obtained results indicate that residual of simulation value and specification value about photovoltaic module is lower. There is considerable validity in simulation of photovoltaic module. Thus, the optimum simulation of photovoltaic module array are studied in this paper. This paper propose the sizing optimization of photovoltaic module array for stand-alone photovoltaic system. Also, the proposed stand-alone photovoltaic system is setting in special region(in seoul). This paper presents simulation characteristic of optimization output power in seoul.

  • In this study, a web-based system was developed by utilizing finite element method and virtual system designed using Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML). The simulation program for axi-symetric sheet forming is developed using finite flement method. The developed system consists of two modules, client module and server module. The client module was developed by using Active-X control. The input data for FEM calculation is transferred to the server module by using communication protocol. Then sever module performs several successive processes: input data generation, forming simulation, conversion of results to VRML format. After that, the results from the simulation can be visualized on the web browser in client computer. Besides, client module offers the capability to control and navigate on virtual forming machine and calculated result. By using this system simulation result can be investigated more realistically in virtual environment including forming machine.

  • In this Study, as the structure of IT module for smart phone display becomes thin to catch up with slim product trend, the reliability of display module is on the rise as a issue for product design. Especially, almost part of cellular phone should undergo thermal dissipation test. thus many manufacturers have considered design guide line using CAE and simulation for more effective usage of limited resources on the market. This test simulates the case when cellular phone slips through user's fingers while he is talking on the phone. This paper studies a thermal simulation of display module in smart phone. This design for reliability improvements are suggested on the basis of the results of FVM Analysis and display of IT module and smart phone design.

  • This paper is concerned with the operating stability of 7kW inverter using SIC hybrid module and verifies the validity of the simulation results by comparing the result of the loss equation and the simulation result, Simulation results using Si module and SiC hybrid module are compared to compare switch loss and diode loss. Through the loss equation calculation, the conduction loss of SiC Hybrid module is 168W, switching loss is 9.3W, diode loss is 10.5nW, When compared with the simulation results, similar values were shown. As a result of comparing the simulation results of the Si module and the SiC Hybrid module, The total device loss of the Si module was 246.2W, and the total device loss of the SiC Hybrid module was 189.9W. The loss difference was 56.3W, which was about 0.8W. thereby verifying the reverse recovery characteristics of the SiC SBD. In addition, temperature saturation test was conducted to confirm the stability of SiC Hybrid module and Si module under high temperature saturation, In the case of the Si module, the output power was stopped at 4kW, and the SiC Hybrid module was confirmed to operate at 7kW. Based on this, an efficiency graph and a temperature graph are presented, and the Si module is graphed up to 4kW and the SiC Hybrid module is graphed up to 7kW.

  • This paper aims to propose a design for simulation systems for container terminal operation evaluation. The systems cover both terminal design simulation for medium and long tern decision making and terminal operations simulation for day to day decision making. And both systems include the container terminal operation components, quay, yard and gate operations. For the flexible and efficient application of the systems, we designed the systems with three modules such as "Define Module"."Simulation Module" and "Animation Module". • Purpose: This study aimed to develop a nursing simulation learning module for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient-care and examine its effects on clinical reasoning competence, clinical competence, performance confidence, and anxiety in COVID-19 patient care for nursing students. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pre- and post-test design was employed. The study participants included 47 nursing students (23 in the experimental group and 24 in the control group) from G City. A simulation learning module for COVID-19 patient-care was developed based on the Jeffries simulation model. The module consisted of a briefing, simulation practice, and debriefing. The effects of the simulation module were measured using clinical reasoning competence, clinical competence, performance confidence, and anxiety in COVID-19 patient-care. Data were analyzed using χ2-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and Mann-Whitney U test. Results: The levels of clinical reasoning competence, clinical competence, and performance confidence of the experimental group were significantly higher than that of the control group, and the level of anxiety was significantly low after simulation learning. Conclusion: The nursing simulation learning module for COVID-19 patient-care is more effective than the traditional method in terms of improving students' clinical reasoning competence, clinical competence, and performance confidence, and reducing their anxiety. The module is expected to be useful for educational and clinical environments as an effective teaching and learning strategy to empower nursing competency and contribute to nursing education and clinical changes.

  • In this paper, we evaluated performance of mobile exchange control part. Queueing network model is used for modeling of mobile exchange control part. We developed a call control processing and location registration scenartio which has a message exchange function between processors in mobile exchange control part. A network symbol are used the simulation models that are composed of the initialization module, message generation module, message routing module, message processing module, message generation module, HIPC network processing module, output analysis module. as a result of computer simulation, we obtain the processor utilization, the mean queue length, the mean waiting time of control part based on call processing and location registration capacity. The call processing and location registration capacity is referred by thenumber of call attempts in the mobile exchange and must be satisfied with the quality of service(delay time).

  • A wheel/rail contact module for dynamics analysis of railway vehicles is developed. The developed module is based on non-linear contact and FASTSIM algorithm which calculates contact forces. And the module is incorporated into the general purpose program DADS using user-defined subroutines. The simulation results of this developed program is compared to those of the railway vehicle dynamics analysis program AGEM. Since the module is based on DADS, various simulation environments can be considered.
