효율적인 UWB 무선 측위 오차 보상 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient UWB Positioning Error Compensation Technique)

  • UWB (Ultra Wide Band) 무선 측위에서 정화한 위치 정보를 추정하기 위해서는 무선 측위 과정에서 발생하는 오차를 보상하기 위한 알고리즘이 반드시 필요하다. 이러한 무선 측위 오차를 보상하고 정확한 위치 정보 추정이 가능한 Scanning 기법은 동일한 태그 위치에 대한 무선 측위를 반복하여 얻을 수 있는 위치 정보 후보군의 무게중심 점을 찾는 기법으로 처리 구조가 비교적 간단하고 정확한 위치 정보를 추정할 수 있는 장점이 있지만, 측위용 비콘 범위 내의 scanning 좌표들을 하나하나 탐색하고 연산해야하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Scanning 기법의 높은 연산량을 줄이기 위해 유전자 알고리즘 (Genetic Algorithm)과 블록 윈도잉 (Block Windowing)의 적용 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법의 성능 검증을 위하여 IEEE 802.15.4a TG에서 제시한 채널 환경에서 얻은 거리 인지 오차 (ranging error) 정보를 사용하였으며, 모의실험 결과를 통하여 낮은 연산량으로도 기존 Scanning 기법의 위치 추정 정확도에 근사할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

실내이미지 선호 측정 시각적 도구에 대한 실증적 검증 (Empirical Validation of Interior Image Preference Scale(IIPS))

  • The purpose of this research is to empirically validate the IIPS (Interior Image Preference Scale) which is a newly developed visual instrument for evaluating the environmental disposition inherent to individuals especially one's interior image preferences. The questionnaire survey was used. The data were collected from Oct. 10th 1997 to Nov. 14th 1997. The subjects were 399 undergraduate students and 30 professor of Dep. of Interior Design. With respect to content validity and construct validity of IIPS discrimination and similarity structure of scales and characteristics of 12 prototype interior images were examined in comparison with the originals. 429 questionnaires were analyzed using frequency percentage mean and Multi-Dimensional Scales. The major results were as follows (1) All 80 items of IIPS were discriminated by 3 criteria such as Traditionalism·Modernity(TM) Masculinity·Femininty (MF) and Simplicity·Complexity (SC) as expected at the time of the instrument development stage.(2) 12 prototype interior images of the IIPS showed tendency to be accord with descriptors to express them in comparison with the originals (3) All 90 items of IIPS showed a cluster distribution according to the similarity structure of scales. Three subscales of IIPS(e . g. TM MF and SC) were structured pretty well by those 3 dimensions. This research revealed the IIPS to have content validity and construct validity for evaluating of preference of three properties of interior image in empirical research. The IIPS was found to be potential objective tool to measure the interior image preferences.

Detection And Countermeasure Scheme For Call-Disruption Attacks On SIP-Based Voip Services

  • Owing to its simplicity and flexibility, the session initiation protocol (SIP) has been widely adopted as a major session-management protocol for Internet telephony or Voice-over IP (VoIP) services. However, SIP has faced various types of security threats. Call-disruption attacks are some of the most severe threats they face, and can greatly inconvenience consumers. In this paper, we analyze such SIP call-disruption attacks, and propose a method for detecting and counteracting them by extending the SIP INFO method with authentication. Using the proposed method, both the target user and the SIP server can detect the existence of a call-disruption attack on a user and counteract the attack. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method from the viewpoint of computational complexity by configuring a test-bed with an Asterisk SIP proxy server and an SIP performance (SIPp) emulator.

현대패션에 나타난 오리엔탈리즘 표현에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Expression of Orientalism in the Modern Fashion)

  • This study is aimed at reviewing how the Orientalism trend is expressed in the modem fashion in terms of silhouette, color, materials, and detail. To this end, the geographic scope of this study is limited to China, Japan, Korea, while data are collected from fashion collections, domestic and foreign magazines since 2000's, literature, and internet sites. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Silhouette: the basic square silhouette of the Oriental traditional costume do not disturb the body movement and have an effected on design to smoothly follow the body line rather than cutting out materials into several parts or emphasize the curved body. 2. Color: due to the influence of the Oriental Zen thought, color trend seems to pursue simplicity rather than complexity, and natural aesthetics. In addition, the Oriental colorfulness shall not be ignored. 3. Materials: golden embroidered material, polished satin, jersey, tough or rough materials, etc. have used with materials of the Oriental traditional costume came into fashion. In pattern, the Orientalism trend is expressive of pattern by Chinese ink-spread technique, simple brush touch technique, cloud pattern, lotus flower pattern or dragon pattern, all of which feature the Oriental calm aesthetics or those motivated by the Oriental traditional patterns. 4. Detail: the techniques of handicrafts and manual arts such as meticulous embroidery, tassel or patchwork reflect well the Orientalism trend in the modem fashion.

멀티코어 비순차 수퍼스칼라 프로세서의 성능 연구 (A Performance Study of Multi-core Out-of-Order Superscalar Processor Architecture)

  • In order to overcome the hardware complexity and power consumption problems, recently the multi-core architecture has been prevalent. For hardware simplicity, usually RISC processor is adopted as the unit core processor. However, if the performance of unit core processor is enhanced, the overall performance of the multi-core processor architecture can be further increased. In this paper, out-of-order superscalar processor is utilized for the multi-core processor architecture. Using SPEC 2000 benchmarks as input, the trace-driven simulation has been performed for the out-of-order superscalar cores between 2 and 16 extensively. As a result, the 16-core out-of-order superscalar processor for the window size of 16 resulted in 17.4 times speed up over the single-core out-of-order superscalar processor, and 50 times speed up over the single core RISC processor. When compared for the same number of cores on the average, the multi-core out-of-order superscalar processor performance achieved 3.2 times speed up over the multi-core RISC processor and 1.6 times speed up over the multi-core in-order superscalar processor.

  • 리더의 실제 명령인 payload 데이터의 시작지점을 찾아내는 비트 동기화를 위해 RFID 태그 수신부는 프리앰블을 이용한다. 국제 표준에 의해 RFID PJM(phase jitter modulation) 모드는 MFM(modified frequency modulation) 플래그를 프리앰블로 사용한다. 최근, PJM 모드 태그가 여러 개의 코릴레이터를 이용하여 비트 동기를 수행하는 기법이 발표되었다. 본 논문에서는 coarse synchronization 이후 violation 비트를 이용해서 fine synchronization을 수행하는 새로운 비트 동기화 기법을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제시된 기법이 하드웨어의 복잡도는 낮추면서 기존에 제시된 시스템과 거의 유사한 동기 및 복조 성능을 가짐을 보인다.

  • In this study, an eye-tracking program that can confirm a design cognition process was developed for the purpose of presenting strategic methods to create fashion images, and the program was used to identify what effects fashion models' external characteristics have on the cognition of design. The data for analysis were collected through an eyemovement tracking experiment and a survey, with the focus on the research problem that differences in models' external uniformity will lead to differences in the eye movement for perceiving models and design as well as the image sensibility. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, it was confirmed that the uniformity of model types and the simplicity/complexity of design led to differences in the eye movement directed at design and models and the gaze ratio. Consequently, it is deemed that models should be selected in consideration of the characteristics of design and the intention of planning when creating fashion images. Second, it was found that in terms of the cognition of design, external conditions of models affect design sensibility. A change in models led to a subtle difference in sensibility cognition even when the design condition did not change. Thus, not only the design but also model attributes are factors that should be considered important in fashion planning.

한국인의 색채 이미지 언어에 관한 연구 (A Study of Language on the Korean's Color-Image)

  • 색채배색을 활용하는데 있어서 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 각 배색마다 색채이미지 언어를 부여하는 것이 매우 긴요하고 중요한 작업이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 색채배색에 관련된 한국인의 색채이미지언어를 선정하기 위해 문헌연구와 조사연구를 병행하였으며 관련 전문가의 검증을 거쳐 주관적인 색채이미지 언어를 객관화시키려 노력하였다. 연구결과 14개의 영역(A.힘 또는 역동성, B.어울림, C.질서, D.양식과 유행, E.신비스러움, 실용성, G.품격, H.호화로움, I.시각, 촉각, 미각, 청각, J.복합성, K.성과 성장, L.일반성, M.정적, 또는 서정성, N.단순성)으로 분류하여 사용자들의 유용성을 높이려 하였다. 색채계획 사용자들의 편의를 도모하기 위해서는 선정된 색채이미지 언어와 부합되는 색채배색을 정리하여 제시한는 작업이 필요하나 이는 후속연구로 미루기로 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 평면형 도파관 스롯 배열 안테나의 빔 조향 방정식을 제시하였다. 빔 조향시 안테나 회전축의 기움각과 개구면 분포는 가장 중요한 요소이다. 빔 조향 관련 식들로 부터 원하는 빔 방향에 대한 안테나 개구면의 위상 분포 및 주피수를 구하였다. 또한 일차원 위상 배열 안테나의 변위기에 위상 데이타릎 전달하는 고속 제어 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 제어 회로의 복잡성파 위상 전달시간을 줄이기 위해 직렬 중계에 의한 변위량 공급 방식을 제안하였다. 이 방식은 간단한 회로구조를 가지므로 복잡한 2차원 완전 위상 배열 안테나에 유용하게 쓰일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Effect of higher order terms of Maclaurin expansion in nonlinear analysis of the Bernoulli beam by single finite element

  • The second order analysis taking place due to non-linear behavior of the structures under the mechanical and geometric factors through implementing exact and approximate methods is an indispensible issue in the analysis of such structures. Among the exact methods is the slope-deflection method that due to its simplicity and efficiency of its relationships has always been in consideration. By solving the differential equations of the modified slope-deflection method in which the effect of axial compressive force is considered, the stiffness matrix including trigonometric entries would be obtained. The complexity of computations with trigonometric functions causes replacement with their Maclaurin expansion. In most cases only the first two terms of this expansion are used but to obtain more accurate results, more elements are needed. In this paper, the effect of utilizing higher order terms of Maclaurin expansion on reducing the number of required elements and attaining more rapid convergence with less error is investigated for the Bernoulli beam with various boundary conditions. The results indicate that when using only one element along the beam length, utilizing higher order terms in Maclaurin expansion would reduce the relative error in determining the critical buckling load and kinematic parameters in the second order analysis.
