  • Due to the development of information and communication technology, the number of new / variant malicious codes is increasing rapidly every year, and various types of malicious codes are spreading due to the development of Internet of things and cloud computing technology. In this paper, we propose a malware analysis method based on string information that can be used regardless of operating system environment and represents library call information related to malicious behavior. Attackers can easily create malware using existing code or by using automated authoring tools, and the generated malware operates in a similar way to existing malware. Since most of the strings that can be extracted from malicious code are composed of information closely related to malicious behavior, it is processed by weighting data features using text mining based method to extract them as effective features for malware analysis. Based on the processed data, a model is constructed using various machine learning algorithms to perform experiments on detection of malicious status and classification of malicious groups. Data has been compared and verified against all files used on Windows and Linux operating systems. The accuracy of malicious detection is about 93.5%, the accuracy of group classification is about 90%. The proposed technique has a wide range of applications because it is relatively simple, fast, and operating system independent as a single model because it is not necessary to build a model for each group when classifying malicious groups. In addition, since the string information is extracted through static analysis, it can be processed faster than the analysis method that directly executes the code.

  • Spinnable pitches and carbon fibers were successfully prepared from petroleum or coal pyrolysis residues. After pyrolysis fuel oil (PFO), slurry oil, and coal tar were simply filtered to eliminate the solid impurities, the characteristics of the raw materials were evaluated by elemental analysis, 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MALDI-TOF-MS), and so on. Spinnable pitches were prepared for melt-spinning carbon fiber through a simple distillation under strong nitrogen flow, and further vacuum distillation to obtain a high softening point. Carbon fibers were produced from the above pitches by single-hole melt spinning and additional heat treatment, for oxidization and carbonization. Even though spinnable pitches and carbon fibers were processed under the same conditions, the melt-spinning and properties of the carbon fiber were different depending on the raw materials. A fine carbon fiber could not be prepared from slurry oil, and the different diameter carbon fibers were produced from the PFO and coal tar pitch. These results seem to be closely correlated with the initial characteristics of the raw materials, under this simple processing condition.

  • Comparing with Seoul city's other administrative works, the work to arrange and collect monthly water rates with 470,000 faucets is tremendous in volume and simple repetition in quality. In order to cover the shortage of handling, it is urgent for us to replace the present manual system with EDP(Electronic Data Processing) system to mechanize a series of handling works of simple repeated calculation such as water consumption, rate calculation, statistics arrangement, bills and specification of water rate by computer. When this work is completely mechanized, inspectors of water meter just turn over their checking results to the Data Center and all data are processed through Input Media(OMR Card, Punched Card) and computer for programming final bills. Then, the delivery of the bills to citizens will be the only work to be carried out. such mechanization will bring about the following benefits: 1. Improvement of administrative work by efficiency and rationalization. 2. Improvement of administrative service with people. 3. Possibility of scientific with trustworthy multi-purpose policy-making data. 4. An effect to cover the personnel shortage of 252 persons (at all the water works offices) and save manpower of 166 persons (47,619 man-days). The application of the above mentioned mechanization will be started to only Chongro and Chung-ku water works offices as model cases out of all water works offices in Seoul. As the electronic calculating machines are inducted, this system will be gradually applied to other water works offices. The billing and collection works of water rates which are connected directly to the daily life of the citizenes, should be handled by the scientific EDP system as soon as possible in order to promote the convenience of consumers and effective operation. This study is to promote the sound and rational operation of this work.

  • This paper proposes a priority based AOI management model as a method to effectively process message traffic for collaboration in virtual environments. Where message traffic reaches the maximum capacity of the message replay server in DVE, some of the events might be delayed to be updated at the remote clients. Because existing AOI models depend only on the occurrence time of events, they have a problem that more important events in the context might be processed later than less serious ones. Close Interactions with other participants are relatively more important than simple events which happen at a distance from the participant. This study classifies the priorities of events according to the degree of interest, and proposes a method to reduce processing delay time of events highly interested by a user. The proposed model offers a way to effectively utilize limited capacity of a server using a priority queue mechanism, which is able to handle different kinds of events. To prevent from starvation of simple events and to give fairness to the proposed algorithm, event occurrence time is also considered as well as degree of interest when processing events.

  • A simple on-line elimination strategy of the dead time and inverter nonlinearity using the current slope information is presented for a PWM inverter-fed IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive. In a PWM inverter-fed IPMSM drive, a dead time is inserted to prevent a breakdown of switching device. This distorts the inverter output voltage, resulting in a current distortion and torque ripple. In addition to the dead time, inverter nonlinearity exists in switching devices of the PWM inverter, which is generally dependent on operating conditions such as the temperature, DC link voltage, and current. The proposed scheme is based on the fact that the d-axis current ripple is mainly caused by the dead time and inverter nonlinearity. To eliminate such an influence, the current slope information is determined. The obtained current slope information is processed by the PI controller to estimate the disturbance caused by the dead time and inverter nonlinearity. The overall system is implemented using DSP TMS320F28335 and the validity of the proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation and experiments. Without requiring any additional hardware, the proposed scheme can effectively eliminate the dead time and inverter nonlinearity even in the presence of the parameter uncertainty.

  • Background The three-dimensional (3D) evaluation of skeletal stability after orthognathic surgery is a time-consuming and complex procedure. The complexity increases further when evaluating the surgery-first orthognathic approach (SFOA). Herein, we propose and validate a simple time-saving method of 3D analysis using a single software, demonstrating high accuracy and repeatability. Methods This retrospective cohort study included 12 patients with skeletal class 3 malocclusion who underwent bimaxillary surgery without any presurgical orthodontics. Computed tomography (CT)/cone-beam CT images of each patient were obtained at three different time points (preoperation [T0], immediately postoperation [T1], and 1 year after surgery [T2]) and reconstructed into 3D images. After automatic surface-based alignment of the three models based on the anterior cranial base, five easily located anatomical landmarks were defined to each model. A set of angular and linear measurements were automatically calculated and used to define the amount of movement (T1-T0) and the amount of relapse (T2-T1). To evaluate the reproducibility, two independent observers processed all the cases, One of them repeated the steps after 2 weeks to assess intraobserver variability. Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) were calculated at a 95% confidence interval. Time required for evaluating each case was recorded. Results Both the intra- and interobserver variability showed high ICC values (more than 0.95) with low measurement variations (mean linear variations: 0.18 mm; mean angular variations: 0.25 degree). Time needed for the evaluation process ranged from 3 to 5 minutes. Conclusion This approach is time-saving, semiautomatic, and easy to learn and can be used to effectively evaluate stability after SFOA.

  • Background: Hystricomorpha rodents display a similar placentation model to humans. The present study was carried out considering the scarcity of information concerning the placental development in agouti. Objective: Describe the microscopy of the placenta, subplacenta and yolk sac of agoutis in early pregnancy and report on the inversion of the yolk sac. Methods: Fifteen females between the 14th-32nd day of gestation were used following euthanasia. Gestational buttons were collected, fixed, processed, stained to optical microscopy or immunohistochemistry. Results: Chorioallantoic placenta (CP) ranged from conical to a half-sphere, as follows: from the 14th to 17th day, the CP displays an inverted "V" shape, predominantly formed by cytotrophoblasts; from 20 to 22 days, formed almost entirely by cytotrophoblasts; at 28 days, a half sphere, with distinct lobes and interlobular area, numerous maternal gaps delimited by syncytiotrophoblasts and trophoblast giant cells; at 32 days, globose and undergoing the maturation process. Subplacenta, located between decidua and CP, initially presents septa consisting of simple columnar epithelium and after 17 days, comprising stratified epithelium. Visceral yolk sac (VYS) is attached to two CP projections between 14 and 17 days, formed by a simple cubic epithelium and inverted. Between 20 and 22 days, the epithelium displays apical villous projections with cytoplasmic vacuoles and a vascularized mesoderm. After the 24th day, the VYS near the placenta is pleated, very vascularized and villous, with decreased villi sizes further away from the placenta. Conclusion: The agouti CP displays similar characteristics to other hystricomorpha, including placenta lobulation, a subplacenta and an inverted vitelline placenta.

  • The accurate and simple extraction method for sterols and fatty acids in sesame oil was developed. The new method improved the extraction efficiency of sesamin in sesame oil and the ratio of sesamin over campesterol. It will be applied to judgement of adulteration of plant edible oils. The minor components of sterols were also confirmed. The simultaneous determination of sterols and fatty acids with derivatization were processed, but it was not enough to confirm adulteration, thus need more experiments.

  • *In this paper, we propose a real-time face tracking system using an adaptive face detector and a tracking algorithm. An image is divided into the regions of background and face candidate by a real-time updated skin color identifying system in order to accurately detect facial features. The facial characteristics are extracted using the five types of simple Haar-like features. The extracted features are reinterpreted by Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and the interpreted principal components are processed by Support Vector Machine (SVM) that classifies into facial and non-facial areas. The movement of the face is traced by Kalman filter and Mean shift, which use the static information of the detected faces and the differences between previous and current frames. The proposed system identifies the initial skin color and updates it through a real-time color detecting system. A similar background color can be removed by updating the skin color. Also, the performance increases up to 20% when the background color is reduced in comparison to extracting features from the entire region. The increased detection rate and speed are acquired by the usage of Kalman filter and Mean shift.
