  • This paper presents an improved method to estimate the maximum load level for heavily loaded power systems with the load-generation variation vector by using the elliptic pattern of the P-e curve. The previous study suggested a simple technique of removing e-f coupling, where only high voltage load flow solutions to calculate transforming angle of system reference is needed. The proposed algorithm is improved to require only one load flow solution at a specific load level in addition to the operating point at the beginning stage, which reduces the computation time and the iteration number of estimation. The proposed method can be efficiently applied to heaviIy loaded systems with the combination of CPFlow when the reactive power limit and ULTC are considered. In this paper, the effect of ULTC on the estimation of maximum loadability index is also investigated. The proposed algorithm is tested on New England 39 bus system and IEEE 118 bus system.

  • This paper presents an efficient algorithm to estimate the maximum load level for heavily loaded power systems with the load-generation variation vector obtained by ELD (Economic Load Dispatch) and/or short term load forecasting while utilizing the elliptic pattern of the P-e curve. It is well known the power flow equation in the rectangular coordinate is fully quadratic. However, the coupling between e and f makes it difficult to take advantage of this quadratic characteristic. In this paper, a simple technique is proposed to reflect the e-f coupling effects on the estimation of maximum loadability with theoretical analysis. An efficient estimation algorithm has been developed with the use of the elliptic properties of the P-e curve. The proposed algorithm is tested on IEEE 14 bus system, New England 39 bus system and IEEE 118 bus system, which shows that the maximum load level can be efficiently estimated with remarkable improvement in accuracy.

  • This paper proposes a gain scheduled control technique using time-delay for the nonlinear system with plant uncertainties and unexpected disturbances. The time delay-based gain scheduled control depends on a direct estimation of a function representing the effect of uncertainties. The information from the estimation is used to cancel the unknown dynamics and the unexpected disturbances simultaneously. The proposed estimation scheme with a finite convergence time is formulated in order to estimate the unborn scheduling variable variation. In other words, the time delay-based gain scheduled control uses the past observation of the system's response and the control input to directly modify the control actions rather than to adjust the controller gains or to identify system parameters. It has a simple structure so as to minimize the computational burden. The benefits of this proposed scheme are demonstrated in the simulation of an electromagnetic suspension system with plant uncertainties and external disturbances, and the proposed controller is compared with the conventional state feedback controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 사용하고 있는 아날로그 방식의 감시 시스템에서 발생하는 자원 낭비와 효율성 저하 문제를 극복하기 위해 MPEG-2 국제 표준을 이용한 영상 데이터의 인코딩 기법과 압축 기법을 적용한 새로운 방식의 디지털 감시 시스템의 설계 및 구현 기법에 대해 기술하였다. 또한, 기존의 디지털 감시 카메라 시스템에서 적용하지 못한 고속 움직임 추정 알고리듬을 적용하여, 보다 실시간적인 시스템을 제안한다. 고속 움직임 추정 알고리듬은 MPEG-2 비디오 인코딩을 위해서 제안되었다 이 알고리듬은 블록 매칭 기법과 그래디언트 기법의 혼합적인 사용에 기반한다. 또한 MPEG-2 비디오 데이터를 직접적으로 사용하여 움직이는 물체를 추출하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 매우 간단하고 종래의 물체 검출 방법들 보다 계산 시간이 훨씬 덜 요구된 다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 특정한 하드웨어 없이 단지 소프트웨어만으로 영상데이터를 실시간으로 인코딩 및 디코딩 한다.

디지털 통신 시스템에서 주파수 옵셋과 반송파 위상의 간단한 동시 추정 알고리듬 (Low-Complexity Joint Estimation Algorithms of Frequency Offset and Carrier Phase for Digital Communication Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 옵셋 및 반송파 위상을 간단히 동시에 추정하기 위한 세 가지 알고리듬(low-complexity joint estimation algorithms : LJEAs)을 제안한다. 제안된 LJEA들의 핵심은 수신 신호의 주파수 및 위상 스펙트럼에서 주엽(main lobe)의 상관값을 이용하여 내분점을 기초로 보간한 후 주파수 옵셋 및 반송파 위상을 추정하되 주파수 옵셋을 먼저 추정하고 추정된 주파수 옵셋을 이용하여 반송파 위상을 동시에 추정하는 것이다. 제안된 LJEA들은 추정 범위( f$_{d}$${\times}$T$_{s}$ )가 1/2N$_{s}$ 혹은 1/N$_{s}$ 보다 작으며 이는 기존 알고리듬의 추정 범위와 비슷하다. 그러나 LJEA들은 오직 2N$_{s}$ 또는 4N$_{s}$ 의 복소 곱셈만이 필요하므로 기존 알고리듬에 비해서 매우 간단하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 LfEA들의 추정 성능은 기존 알고리듬의 성능보다도 우수함을 알 수 있다. 제안된 LJEA들은 위성 통신 시스템과 같은 버스트 모드 디지털 전송을 하는 시스템에서 주파수 옵셋 및 반송파 위상을 동시에 추정하기 위해 사용될 수 있다.

  • 지금까지의 기반시설부담금 관련 기반시설설치비용 산정방식은 표준비용모델을 응용한 획일적 단위설치비용을 적용한 것으로서 이러한 획일적 원단위 적용은 비용산정에 있어 지역적 차별화와 개별사업단위 특수성 반영 등이 어렵다는 문제점이 있었다. 최근 국토연구원 연구를 통해 국토해양부는 새로운 표준단위설치비용 산정방식을 제안한 바, 본 연구는 이러한 개선안에 대해 국가지리정보체계 공간정보를 활용해 사례분석 최적지를 선별하고 GIS 기능을 통해 사례 토지이용계획안을 정밀 구축하여 표준단위설치비용 산정 전 과정을 계량적으로 분석해 보았으며, 특히 안성시를 사례대상지로 하여 시가화지역 외곽에 산업시설이 산재한 지자체 특성을 감안해 주거지역과 공업지역이 혼재한 복합형 단지개발방식을 설정해 사례를 분석해 보고 이를 통해 제도 개선사항의 특장점과 시의성을 확인해 보았다는 데 실증적 의미가 있다.

계통 연계형 컨버터의 능동 댐핑을 위한 공진주파수 추정 기능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation of the Resonance Frequency for an Active Damping Technique of Grid Connected Converters)

  • The renewable energy sources is raising for use of grid connected systems, for which higher power quality requirements are being issued. A grid connected converter requires a LC-filter stage, this one is lightly damped for efficiency constraints. Hence, it is subject to resonance if excited by the converter current harmonics or pre-exciting grid voltage harmonics. In this paper, an active damping technique employing notch filter for damping of the resonance frequency is introduced. This technique doesn't need to additional sensors. In addition, it is simple to apply for various systems. Monitoring of the resonance frequency ensures the stable operation of the proper connection and disconnection of the grid. This paper proposes the estimating method of a resonant frequency to determine the cut-off frequency of the notch filter. This method is validated by both simulation and experimental results.

구형파 신호 주입을 이용한 IPMSM 센서리스 제어에서 개선된 신호처리 기법 (IPMSM Sensorless Control Using Square-Wave-Type Voltage Injection Method with a Simplified Signal Processing)

  • This paper presents an improved signal processing technique in the square-wave-type voltage injection method for IPMSM sensorless drives. Since the sensorless method based on the square-wave voltage injection does not use low-pass filters to get an error signal for estimating rotor position and allows the frequency of the injected voltage signal to be high, the sensorless drive system may achieve an enhanced control bandwidth and reduced acoustic noise. However, this sensorless method still requires low-pass and band-pass filters to extract the fundamental component current and the injected frequency component current from the motor current, respectively. In this paper, these filters are replaced by simple arithmetic operations so that the time delay for estimating the rotor position can be effectively reduced to only one current sampling. Hence, the proposed technique can simplify its whole signal process for the IPMSM sensorless control using the square-wave-type voltage injection. The proposed technique is verified by the experiment on the 800W IPMSM drive system.
