무기첨가제 규소텅스텐산이 음이온교환 복합막 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Silicotungstic Acid as Inorganic Filler on the Properties of Anion Exchange Composite Membranes)

  • In this study, we synthesized a poly(pheneylene oxide) (PPO)-based organic/inorganic composite membrane having silicotungstic acid (STA) for the development of an anion exchange membrane with excellent ionic conductivity and physicochemical stability. The organic/inorganic composite membranes were prepared by introducing different STA contents (0 wt%, 10 wt%, 30 wt%, and 50 wt%) into the quaternizaed(Q)-PPO matrix. The prepared anion exchange membranes were subjected to structural analysis by proton neclear magnetic resonance and Fourier transform infrared, and thermal behavior of membranes was confirmed by thermogravimetric analysis. Among the prepared composite membranes, the ion conductivity of Q-PPO/STA-50 (40.5 mS cm-1) showed 1.46 times compared to that of the pristine membrane (27.6 mS cm-1). Therefore, these results demonstrated that organic/inorganic composite membranes are promising candidates for application of anion exchange membranes.

Effect of Al Content on the Gas-Phase Dehydration of Glycerol over Silica-Alumina-Supported Silicotungstic Acid Catalysts

  • The gas-phase dehydration of glycerol to acrolein was carried out over silicotungstic acid ($H_4SiW_{12}O_{40}{\cdot}xH_2O$, HSiW) catalysts supported on $SiO_2$, ${\eta}-Al_2O_3$, and silica-aluminas with different Al contents. The HSiW catalysts supported on silica-aluminas showed higher glycerol conversions and acrolein yields during the initial 2 h at $315^{\circ}C$ than did $SiO_2$- and ${\eta}-Al_2O_3$-supported HSiW catalysts. Among the tested catalysts, HSiW/$Si_{0.9}Al_{0.1}O_x$ exhibited the highest space-time yield during the initial 2 h. The loaded HSiW species can change the acid types and suppress the formation of carbonaceous species on Al-rich silica-aluminas. The deactivated HSiW supported on silica-aluminas can be fully regenerated after calcination in air at $500^{\circ}C$. As long as the molar ratio between water and glycerol was in the range of 2-11, the acrolein selectivity increased significantly with increasing water content in the feed, while the surface carbon content decreased owing to the suppression of heavy compounds.

Gas-phase Dehydration of Glycerol over Supported Silicotungstic Acids Catalysts

  • The gas-phase dehydration of glycerol to acrolein was carried out over 10 wt % HSiW catalysts supported on different supports, viz. $\gamma-Al_2O_3$, $SiO_2-Al_2O_3$, $TiO_2$, $ZrO_2$, $SiO_2$, AC, $CeO_2$ and MgO. The same reaction was also conducted over each support without HSiW for comparison. Several characterization techniques, $N_2$-physisorption, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), the temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia ($NH_3$-TPD), temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO) with mass spectroscopy and CHNS analysis were employed to characterize the catalysts. The glycerol conversion generally increased with increasing amount of acid sites. Ceria showed the highest 1-hydroxyacetone selectivity at $315^{\circ}C$ among the various metal oxides. The supported HSiW catalyst showed superior catalytic activity to that of the corresponding support. Among the supported HSiW catalysts, HSiW/$ZrO_2$ and HSiW/$SiO_2-Al_2O_3$ showed the highest acrolein selectivity. In the case of HSiW/$ZrO_2$, the initial catalytic activity was recovered after the removal of the accumulated carbon species at $550^{\circ}C$ in the presence of oxygen.

Rapid One-pot, Four Component Synthesis of Pyranopyrazoles Using Heteropolyacid Under Solvent-free Condition

  • A series of pyranopyrazoles, was efficiently synthesized via one-pot, four component reaction of ethyl acetoacetate, hydrazine hydrate, aldehydes and malononitrile in the presence of catalytic amount silicotungstic acid under solvent free condition. NOE experiments confirmed that the product exist exclusively in the 2H form. The present protocol offers the advantages of clean reaction, short reaction time, high yield, easy purification and economic availability of the catalyst.

PVA/SSA/HPA 복합막의 고분자전해질 연료전지에의 응용연구 (PVA/SSA/HPA Composite Membranes on the Application to Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell)

  • Polyvinylalcohol (PVA)을 전해질 막으로 이용하여 위하여 가교제로서 sulfosuccinic acid (SSA)와 무기물 첨가제로 phosphotungstic acid (PWA), silicotungstic acid (SiWA) 등의 HPA (heteropolyacid)를 사용하여 PVA/SSA/HPA 복합막을 제조하였다. PVA/SSA/HPA 복합막은 HPA의 농도가 증가함에 따라 함수율은 감소하였으나 IEC값은 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. PVA/SSA/HPA 복합막의 XRD 분석 결과 HPA의 농도가 증가함에 따라 HPA가 복합막 속으로 잘 분산되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 HPA로서 PWA보다 SiWA의 분산성이 우수하였다. TGA 분석결과 PVA/SSA 복합막은 가교 결합으로 인하여 PVA 보다 열안정성이 우수하였으며 복합막의 HPA의 농도가 증가할수록 열안정성이 더욱 증대되는 것을 알 수 있었다. PVA/SSA/HPA 복합막의 메탄올 투과저항은 Nafion보다 현저히 우수하였으며 HPA의 농도가 증가할수록 메탄올의 투과도는 감소하였다.

  • 폴리비닐알콜, 규소텅스텐산, 인산 및 수용액으로 구성된 $80{\mu}m$의 두께의 고분자겔 전해질 필름을 제조하여 활성탄소계 전기이중층 케페시터를 제조하였다. 제조한 고분자겔 전해질 필름은 상온에서 $10^{-2}S\;cm^{-1}$의 높은 이온전도도를 나타내었으며, 본 전해질 필름을 적용한 활성탄소계 전기이중층 케패시터는 100 mV/s에서 $58F\;g^{-1}$의 높은 캐패시턴스 특성과 우수한 수명특성을 나타내었다.
