아미노 변성 폴리실록산의 유화 특성 (Characterization of Emulsion Properties for Modified Amino Polysiloxanes)

  • Silicone oil has organic and inorganic properties, and its skeleton is polysiloxane bonding that silicon is bonded hydrogen or organic group. Silicone compounds are very smooth and lubricant properties by low surface tension, low temperature dependence, and nonadhesive properties. Because of these properties, silicone compounds are used as many parts of chemicals, softener, smooth and libricant agents, water-repellent agent, and defoaming agent, etc. Emulsion was prepared with the inversion emulsification method which adopted the agent-in-oil method dissolving the polyoxyethylene(7) tridecyl ether(HLB 12.2) into methoxy terminated poly(dimethyl-co-methyl amino) siloxane and hydroxy terminated poly(dimethyl-co-methyl amino) siloxane in water. At this time, processed emulsion was almost microemulsion. When ratio of emulsifier increases, emulsion is stable bacuause microemulsion is solubilized by emulsion drop size and zeta-potential are decreased. But, when amount of electrolyte is increase, emulsion became unstable because emulsion drop size is increased.

저굴절률 화합물 처리에 의한 PET직물의 심색화 (The Bathochromic Effect of Polyester Fabric Treated with Low Refractive Compounds)

  • Polyester fabric is widely used in textile material though it has some problems such as low colour value, high refractive ratio(1.62) and etc. In order to give Z-black colour of polyester fabric, this study has selected several disperse dyes by measuring of absorbance, dyed in their optimum conditions and treated with 4 kinds of low refractive compounds such as silicone, fluorine, urethane and silicone-fluorine mixed compounds. The bathochromic effect of treated PET fabric evaluated as lightness(L) change by uv-visible spectrophotometer. This study also investigated that the effect of used bathochromic agents on the washing and lightfastness of treated PET fabric.

Acoustic Properties of Rubber Compound for Anechoic Coating

  • Three kinds of rubber compounds were prepared, and their underwater acoustical properties were investigated for anechoic coating. Dynamic mechanical properties of the rubber compounds were measured using a dynamic mechanical analyzer and extended to 100 kHz using time-temperature superposition. The sound speed, reflection coefficient, and attenuation constant were calculated. Silicone rubber showed the lowest reflection coefficient, and nitrile rubber showed the highest attenuation constant. The acoustic properties of nitrile rubber compounds with various compositions were investigated. The sound speed, reflection coefficient, and transmission coefficient of the nitrile rubber in the frequency range of 200-1000 kHz were measured in a water-filled tank.

실리콘 화합물로 도포된 목재의 열위험성 평가 (Heat Risk Assessment of Wood Coated with Silicone Compounds)

  • 실리콘 화합물 4종으로 처리한 편백목재 시험편의 연소특성에 관한 실험을 ISO 5660-1 표준에 따른 콘칼로리미터를 이용하여 수행하였다. 난연재는 소듐실리케이트와 아미노실란을 이용하여 합성하였다. 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS), 3-(2-aminoethylamino)propylmethyldimethoxysilane (AEA-PMDMS), 3-(2-aminoethylamino)propyltrimethoxysilane (AEAPTM)을 실란 화합물로 사용하였다. 외부열유속 $50kW/m^2$에서 연소후 측정된 실리콘 졸로 처리한 시험편의 착화시간은 9~11 s로 얻어졌으며 공시편보다 3~5 s 지연되었다. 최대열방출율은 공시편과 비교하여 5~20% 감소되었고 화재초기위험성은 AEAPMDMS가 가장 높았다. 총열방출량은 1~22% 감소되었다. 화재성능지수(FPI)는 공시편보다 1.5~2.2배 증가하였다. 화재성장지수(FGI)는 AEAPMDMS로 처리된 시험편은 20% 증가하였고 나머지 시편은 93~94% 감소하였다. 따라서 실리콘화합물로 처리한 목재의 화재위험성은 열위험성 측면에서 개선되었다.

RTV 실리콘 코팅재의 코로나 방전 열화 특성 (A Study on Ageing Characteristics of RTV Silicone Coating Materials by Corona Discharge)

  • Ageing characteristics of RTV coating materials by corona discharge have been studied. The hydrophobicity recovery of RTV coating materials with 300${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thickness was identical with a bulk silicone materials. The RTV coating materials hydrophobicity has been almost lost when its were discharged during 40 seconds by corona discharge of 10㎸, and recovered after about 45 hours. The resistivity of RTV coating materials has not been recovered after 45 hours, though after 80 hours the initiation resistivity value has been recovered up to 95%. There was no critical change of compounds(such as Si and Al) on RTV surfaces by the corona discharge treatment until 100 seconds. In the test of arc erosion, it was seen that the coating sample with silicone rubber as a base material have more longer burn-out time than other samples with FRP or glass base.

수지처리에 의한 PET직물의 심색화 (Increase in Color Depth of Polyester Fabric by Resin Treatment)

  • To improve the deep coloring effect of PET fabrics, the alkali treated and black dyed PET fabrics were treated with 2 kinds of low refractive compounds such as acrylic resin and silicone resin. The color depth effect of treated PET fabrics was evaluated as lightness(L) change by UV-visible spectrophotometer. As the weight loss of PET fiber treated with alkali increased, the color depth of PET fabrics increased. Lightness(L) of PET fabrics treated with deep coloring agent was lower than that of untreated PET fabrics. The optimum concentration of treated PET with deep coloring agent was 4% o.w.s. The deep coloring effect of PET fabrics treated with silicone resin was higher than one treated with acrylic resin. PET fabrics treated with silicone resin only might be more appropriate process than PET fabrics treated with acrylic and silicone resin for giving deep coloring effect for polyester fabrics.

대기중의 휘발성 유기물 제거용 분리막 (Membrane for the Removal of Volatile Organic Compounds from Air)

  • Porous asymmetric membranes were prepared from polyetherimide polymer by the phase-inversion technique under different conditions. The performance of the membranes was tested for the removal of acetone vapour from nitrogen. A membrane which showed a high acetone permeability and a high selectivity was chosen and tested further for the separation of different organic vapours from nitrogen. The molecular structure of organic vapours and the selectivity were correlated. A strong correlation was also found between the chromatographic retention time of the organic vapour and the selectivity. These experimental results led to the conclusion that the sorption is the factor governing the separation of volatile organic compounds from nitrogen. A membrane was also prepared by coating the surface of a porous polyetherimide membrane with silicone rubber. The performance of membranes with and without silicone rubber coating was compared.

Quantitative In-line NIR measurements of papers

  • For NIR measurements of papers normally diffuse reflectance accessories are used which can provide a large sampling area. The in-line process control FT-NIR spectrometer MATRIX-E enables the contactless measurement of paper samples of low silicone coat weights on label-stocks in a paper converting factory. For this study concentrations of silicone between 0 and 2 g/$m^2$ on various paper substrates were included in a quantitative method. The aim was to achieve an absolute value for the deviation from the target value of 1 g/$m^2$ during continuous movement of the paper with velocities around 400 numinute. Influences from the uncoated paper type due to supplier, color, opacity, area densities, pre-coating as well as different compounds of the agent silicone were investigated and it was found that all these papers can be represented in one PLS-model. Especially the fact that silicone as an element is present in clay coated papers is of no consequence to the measurements with MATRIX-E. Moreover during in-line installations the variation of the moisture contents in the moving paper due to variable machine velocities as well as the reflecting material of the cylinder have to be considered. It is shown that the result of the in-line calibration has the same prediction ability compared to lab scale results(Root Mean Square Error of Cross-Validation RMSECV = 0.034 g/$m^2$).
