PC-ECU를 이용한 SI 기관의 비정상상태 정밀공연비 제어 (Precise Air-Fuel Ratio Control on Transient Conditions with the PC-ECU in SI Engine)

  • In a SI engine, three-way catalyst converter has the best efficiency when A/F ratio is near the stoichiometry. The feedback control using oxygen sensors in the commercial engine has limits caused by the system delays. So it is necessary to control fuel quantity in accordance with intake air amount in order to reduce exhaust emission and improve the specific fuel consumption. Precise A/F ratio control requires measurement of air amount with respect to the cylinder and injection fuel according to the air amount In this paper, we applied nonlinear fuel injection model and developed the algorithm of A/F ratio control. This algorithm includes the methods of measurement of transient air mass flowing into each cylinder, of calculation of injection pulse width for measured air mass, and the method of feedback and engine control by using lambda sensor. Also we developed control program for IBM-PC by using C++ Builder, and tested it in the commercial engine.

  • 유헬스는 정보통신기술과 생체의료기술을 융합하여 사용자에게 시간 및 공간적 제약이 없이 건강관리 및 의료 서비스를 제공하는 기술이다. 의사가 사용자의 건강상태를 원격으로 진단하기 위해서는 유헬스 기기의 생체신호 측정 기술과 측정된 생체 신호를 전송하는 통신 기술이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 심전도측정센서, 영상모듈, GPS모듈, 통신모듈 및 MCU(Micro Controller Unit)를 이용하여 사람의 생체신호 중 심전도신호를 측정하여 영상 및 사용자의 위치정보를 무선으로 전송하는 생체신호 모니터링 시스템을 구현하는 과정을 소개한다.

  • These days, most of electric power facilities need high stability. Therefore integrated system has been required to monitor and control electronic power distribution system in fields at all times when the interruption of electric power has occurred. To construct this system, unit that convert and process the input signal from fields needed. And for control and monitoring from remote place MMI software is required. Lastly network equipments are required for real-time communications. So, in this paper, units for control and monitoring of emergency power generator and for electric power monitoring in normal electric power and interruption of electric power are developed. Also integrated remote system for monitoring in remote is developed.

  • Classification of extracellularly recorded action potential into each unit is an important procedure for further analysis of spike trains as point process. We utilize feedforward neural network structures, multilayer perceptron and radial basis function network to implement spike classifier. For the efficient training of classifiers, nonlinear energy operator that can trace the instantaneous frequency as well as the amplitude of the input signal is used. Trained classifiers shows successful operation, up to 90% correct classification was possible under 1.2 of signal-to-noise ratio.

A Wideband Interferometric Wavelength Shift Demodulator of Fiber Bragg Grating Strain Sensor

  • The performance of a fiber Bragg grating strain sensor constructed with 3$\times$3 coupler is investigated. A 3$\times$3 coupler Mach-Zehnder (M/Z) interferometer is used as wavelength discriminator, interrogating strain-induced Bragg wavelength shifts. Two quadrature-phase-shifted intensities are synthesized from the as-coupled interferometer outputs, and digital arctangent demodulation and phase unwrapping algorithm are applied to extract the phase information proportional to strain. Due to the linear relation between the input strain and the output of quadrature signal processing, signal-fading problems eliminated. In the experiment, a fiber grating that was surface adhered on an aluminum beam was strained in different ways, and the photodetector signals were transferred and processed in a computer-controlled processing unit. A phase recovery fo 7.8$\pi$ pk-pk excursion, which corresponds to ~650$\mu$strain pk-pk of applied strain, was demonstrated. The sensor system was stable over the environmental intensi쇼 perturbations because of the self-referencing effect in the demodulation process.

  • We propose a new method to deal with the optimized auto-tuning for the PID controller which is used to the process-control in various fields. First of all, in this method, 1st order delay system with dead time which is modelled from the unit step response of the system is Pade-approximated, then initial values are determined by the Ziegler-Nickels method. So deciding binary strings of parents generation using by the fitness values of genetic algorithms, we perform selection, crossover and mutation to generate the descendant generation. The advantage of this method is better than the Ziegler-Nickels method in characteristic of output, and has extent of applying without limit of K, L, T parameters.

  • In this paper, the therapy radiation dose measurement system has been implemented by using a microcomputer after radiation was irradiated on diodes from the MM22 microtron accelerator. We have displayed 7-channel diode output values on the LCD after processing those in the 80196 MCU(Micro Computer Unit). Signal processing has been performed in the pulse mode because we can process the signal fast and use it to perform portal image by increasing a number of diode channels in the future. In order to verify the microcomputer based radiation measurement system of diodes, diode output values were compared with that of semiconductor.

  • An economic process monitoring procedure is presented when the major quality characteristic of the item is dichotomous. Every item is inspected and decided whether it is conforming or not. If an item is found to be nonconforming, the previous number of the successive conforming items is compared with a predetermined number r to check the process for existence of any assignable cause of variation. A cost model is constructed on the basis of costs of inspection, illegal signal, undetected out-of-control state and corrective action. By minimizing the expected total cost per unit time, the optimal value of r is obtained. The effects of cost coefficients are studied numerically.

  • In manufacturing and semiconductor industries, transfer robots increase productivity through accurate and continuous work. Due to the nature of the semiconductor process, there are environments where humans cannot intervene to maintain internal temperature and humidity in a clean room. So, transport robots take responsibility over humans. In such an environment where the manpower of the process is cutting down, the lack of maintenance and management technology of the machine may adversely affect the production, and that's why it is necessary to develop a technology for the machine failure diagnosis system. Therefore, this paper tries to identify various causes of failure of transport robots that are widely used in semiconductor automation, and the Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) method is considered for determining and predicting the process of failures. The robot mainly fails in the driving unit due to long-term repetitive motion, and the core components of the driving unit are motors and gear reducer. A simulation drive unit was manufactured and tested around this component and then applied to 6-axis vertical multi-joint robots used in actual industrial sites. Vibration data was collected for each cause of failure of the robot, and then the collected data was processed through signal processing and frequency analysis. The processed data can determine the fault of the robot by utilizing machine learning algorithms such as SVM (Support Vector Machine) and KNN (K-Nearest Neighbor). As a result, the PHM environment was built based on machine learning algorithms using SVM and KNN, confirming that failure prediction was partially possible.
