A Study on Performance Characteristics for Auxiliary Converter of Korean High Speed Train (한국형 고속열차 보조컨버터 성능 특성에 관한 연구)

  • As the on-board electric devices determine the performances of vehicles, production of reliable devices is important. To keep the reliability of devices constant, management of performance evaluation of the on-board devices is crucial. Because temperature bas a serious effect on failures of the components of the devices, its measurement is the first step for good management. In this study, we described performance characteristics of domestic auxiliary block developed through G7 project. We measured the performances of auxiliary block during test running by the developed on-line measurement system. After we save the input real-time data from each signal of Korean High Speed Train through the network line, we can acquire necessary information through Post-Processing program. We verify the auxiliary converter characteristics of Korean High Speed Train by this system.

  • We consider the tapped-delay line (TDL) equalizer with the few calculation quantity and the simplity, the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) with the good property for interference, and lattice equalizer(LE) with high insensitivity to roundoff noise in mobile communication fading channel. The used adaptive algorithm is the LMS algorithm and RLS algorithm. In this paper, we have evaluated the performance of the TDL equalizer, the decision feedback equalizer, and lattice-structured equalizer, for the digital signal corrupted by the impulsive noise and the white gaussian noise under the fading channel environment. From the results of error performance analysis, it is confirmed that lattice-structured equalizer has better performance than DFE equalizer and TDL equalizer.

  • OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 방식의 수중음향 데이터 통신시스템에서 도플러 편이(Doppler Shift)와 도플러 확산(Doppler Spread)의 영향을 완화하여 주파수 효율을 향상시킬 수 있는 수신신호처리 방안을 설계하고 해상에서 송수신 된 시험 데이터의 BER 로써 성능을 평가한다. 도플러 편이를 OFDM 심볼에 부가된 Cyclic Prefix 와 상관계수법을 통해 추정하였으며 도플러 확산에 의해 시간에 따라 변화하는 채널을 Time-Frequency 축상에서 $2\times1D$ MMSE 방식으로 추정한다. 해상실험 결과, $8kHz\~11kHz$ 의 전송대역을 사용 할 때 복호 전 전송률 3098bps, 송수신 소자간 거리 7km, SNR 15dB에서 약 $1\~3\%$의 BER이 추정된다.

  • First, in order to improve selecting method of quality characteristic level desired by customers, S/N(Signal-to-Noise) ratio of Taguchi in larger-the-better characteristics was applied. Second, the Matrix classification standard of ACE(Attribute Categorization Evaluation) is presented using KANO model on difference analysis of importance and satisfaction through questionnaire from customers. This is for reflecting the diverse EC which customers want in EC quality sufficiently. Also, establishing sales point will be helpful in business strategy through presenting types that are able to decide planning quality. Third, the important measure of EC about correlation among quality characteristics and a new weight of EC are calculated depending on importance of EC and the weight of customer attribute and materials of relationship matrix through correlation matrix analysis.

  • 기존 열자 승차감은, 주행중인 철도차량에서 승객이 느끼는 진동에 대하여 쾌적함의 정도라고 정의할 수 있으며, 기존 열차 승차감 기준으로는 ISO규격, Wz 평가법, UIC규격, KS규격 등이 있다. 기존의 열차 승차감 기준은 진동, 속도, 노이즈 등 기계적 요소만을 고려하므로, 승객이 느끼는 쾌적함을 평가하기에 한계가 있으며, 특히 곡선부 승차감을 평가하지 못하는 문제점이 잇으므로, 틸팅열차의 승차감을 평가하는데 어려움이 있다. 생체 신호를 기반으로 한 열차 승차감은, 기계적 요소들이 승객에게 미치는 영향이 심박, 혈압, 체온 등의 변화로 나타나므로, 이러한 생체 파라미터를 이용하여 열차 승차감을 평가하는 것이다. 특히 틸팅열차의 곡선부운행에 따른 틸팅 정도에 따라 발생하는 승차감의 변화를 측정하는데 적합하다.

  • The dynamic range of the radar which uses digital signal processors is limited by ADC(Analog-to-Digital Converter). That parameter and ADC loss depend on the noise level of radar receiver. In order to stabilize the performance of radar systems, it is necessary to maintain the noise level constantly. This paper presents the noise AGC(Automatic Gain Control) concept that can keep the noise level constantly and proves that the concept is acceptable through the hardware test and evaluation.

  • Recently, as the road capacity reaches the limit and environmental problems becomes serious, there is gradually increased a need for railroad vehicles that are environment-friendly and have time regularity, reliability and safety. Accordingly, in addition to conventional railroad vehicles, lots of vehicles are being newly developed. We developed the hardware and software of the measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of korean hish speed train. The software controls the hardware of the measurement data and acts as interface between users and the system hardware. In this paper, we is studied for electric apparatus performance of railway vehicle using sensor. In order to this test is developed signal conversion system. Using this system, we obtained important result for pantograph voltage, battery voltage, axle speed, and running speed.

A Speech Enhancement Algorithm based on Human Psychoacoustic Property (심리음향 특성을 이용한 음성 향상 알고리즘)

  • In the speech system, for example hearing aid as well as speech communication, speech quality is degraded by environmental noise. In this study, to enhance the speech quality which is degraded by environmental speech, we proposed an algorithm to reduce the noise and reinforce the speech. The minima controlled recursive averaging (MCRA) algorithm is used to estimate the noise spectrum and spectral weighting factor is used to reduce the noise. And partial masking effect which is one of the human hearing properties is introduced to reinforce the speech. Then we compared the waveform, spectrogram, Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality (PESQ) and segmental Signal to Noise Ratio (segSNR) between original speech, noisy speech, noise reduced speech and enhanced speech by proposed method. As a result, enhanced speech by proposed method is reinforced in high frequency which is degraded by noise, and PESQ, segSNR is enhanced. It means that the speech quality is enhanced.

  • Measuring the movement of joint angle of human body is very important clinically. Human joint angle displacement can be used to evaluate the degree of disease and disability. Also, we can determine the rehabilitation process with angular information. Conventional methods for measuring angular displacement are many weakness. The purpose of this study is to overcome the limitations of existing equipments by using optical method. For this reason, optical sensor system was used to correlate detected light signal with joint angle. Experimental results of the applied joint model in this study showed that joint angular displacement can be measured by optical signals. The suggested method is simple, durable, small, lightweight, convenient, and cost effective.

A Study on Railroad Vehicle Lighting Environment (철도차량 조명 환경 연구)

  • This paper investigates the lighting environment of railway system which are mainly used in KTX, Saemaul and Mugunghwa. When lighting used in KTX such as fluorescent lamp and incandescence is being replaced with LED lamp, illumination load of each railroad vehicle has been compared. The comparison result shows that the reduction of power consumption is 43.34% before and after the change. Also it has been performed the economic evaluation.
