GPR 장비를 이용한 포장두께 탐상에 관한 연구 (The study on the measurement of pavement thickness using GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar) equipment)

  • GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar) designed with a digital-based signal processing technology utilizes to identify very easily the location, the thickness and the level of either an underground embedment or an underground structure. Prior to use of this GPR equipment on pavement of about 15cm thick, the equipment should foremost be calibrated on a known sample under known condition. The purpose of this study is to verify the applicability of the GPR equipment to a model pavement of about 15cm thick. As part of this effort, the general approach of this study is to verify the applicability of the GPR equipment by various thickness levels and its error ranges thru a statistical analysis.

  • 대부분의 경우 전자전 ES 장비는 수신 H/W가 개발되기 전에 S/W 부분이 구현 완료되는 경우가 많다. 이 때 H/W가 개발될 때까지 S/W 부분을 시험하여 S/W 알고리즘의 유효성을 검사하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위해 신호수집 시스템을 위한 디지털 위협신호 모의가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 실제 신호와 유사한 IF 모의 신호를 발생하는 방법을 제안한다.

Material Discrimination Using X-Ray and Neutron

  • Background: A nondestructive test is commonly used to inspect the surface defects and internal structure of an object without any physical damage. X-rays generated from an electron accelerator or a tube are one of the methods used for nondestructive testing. The high penetration of X-rays through materials with low atomic numbers makes it difficult to discriminate between these materials using X-ray imaging. The interaction characteristics of neutrons with materials can supplement the limitations of X-ray imaging in material discrimination. Materials and Methods: The radiation image acquisition process for air-cargo security inspection equipment using X-rays and neutrons was simulated using a GEometry ANd Tracking (Geant4) simulation toolkit. Radiation images of phantoms composed of 13 materials were obtained, and the R-value, representing the attenuation ratio of neutrons and gamma rays in a material, was calculated from these images. Results and Discussion: The R-values were calculated from the simulated X-ray and neutron images for each phantom and compared with those obtained in the experiments. The R-values obtained from the experiments were higher than those obtained from the simulations. The difference can be due to the following two causes. The first reason is that there are various facilities or equipment in the experimental environment that scatter neutrons, unlike the simulation. The other is the difference in the neutron signal processing. In the simulation, the neutron signal is the sum of the number of neutrons entering the detector. However, in the experiment, the neutron signal was obtained by superimposing the intensities of the neutron signals. Neutron detectors also detect gamma rays, and the neutron signal cannot be clearly distinguished in the process of separating the two types of radiation. Despite these differences, the two results showed similar trends and the viability of using simulation-based radiation images, particularly in the field of security screening. With further research, the simulation-based radiation images can replace ones from experiments and be used in the related fields. Conclusion: The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute has developed air-cargo security inspection equipment using neutrons and X-rays. Using this equipment, radiation images and R-values for various materials were obtained. The equipment was reconstructed, and the R-values were obtained for 13 materials using the Geant4 simulation toolkit. The R-values calculated by experiment and simulation show similar trends. Therefore, we confirmed the feasibility of using the simulation-based radiation image.

열차 차상신호 인터페이스 검사 시스템 개발 (Development of Interface Inspection System for On-board Signal Equipment)

  • 차내 연산 열차제어시스템은 검수고에 지상신호장치가 설치되지 않은 경우 본선 및 시험선으로 출고하였을 때에만 점검이 가능하여 업무의 효율성 저하 및 안전운행에 위해요인으로 작용한다. 열차의 운행 전 또는 운행 후 안전운행 확보를 위한 측면에서 차상 지상신호 설비 간 인터페이스 동작시험이 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 지상에서 차상시스템으로 전송되는 가상의 열차 운행정보에 따른 열차 차상신호 장치의 동작상태 확인과 차상에서 지상시스템으로 전송되는 열차 상태정보에 대한 실시간 자동 분석을 기반으로 한 열차 차상신호 인터페이스 검사시스템을 제안하여 대전도시철도 판암기지에 구축, 차상 지상신호 간 인터페이스시험 알고리즘을 검증하였다. 이에 따라 차상 열차제어시스템 점검을 위해 약 30분간의 시험선 운행이 불필요하여 업무의 효율성을 크게 향상시켰다.

  • 항공기 인터콤 장비는 조종사, 부조종사를 포함해 항공기 내의 승무원을 포함한 기내 음성 통화 기능을 수행한다. 항공기 개조 개발 사업에서 인터콤을 개발할 경우 추가되는 통신장비 또는 항전장비를 기존 인터콤과 헤드셋을 연동하도록 구성한다. 따라서 개발하는 인터콤은 항공기 헤드셋 마이크를 입력받고, 기존 인터콤에 마이크 신호를 송신하는 구성이 필요하며 일정 수준 이상의 신호품질이 요구된다. 이러한 요구사항을 만족하기 위해 마이크 신호 생성회로를 구성했으나 신호 품질이 불량하여 인터콤 설계 반영이 불가하다 판단했다. 마이크 신호 생성회로 자체의 문제를 없애기 위해 부하효과를 고려한 마이크 신호 브릿지 회로를 구성했고, 기능 및 품질 측정 결과 요구사항에 부합하였다. 본 논문은 마이크 신호 생성회로 및 브릿지 각각의 구성에 대해 제작 및 신호 품질에 대한 시험 결과를 검토한다.

실린더를 이용한 서보 밸브 대역폭 주파수의 측정에 관한 연구 (Study on Bandwidth Frequency of Servovalve based on Metering Cylinder)

  • In this study, a metering cylinder was constructed, and the velocity obtained from the linear velocity transducer (LVT) of the cylinder piston was used to evaluate the dynamic performance of an electro-hydraulic servovalve. Frequency response experiments involving the spool displacement and piston velocity (LVT signal) were conducted with different input signal amplitudes, hydraulic pipe diameters, and supply pressures. The spool displacement signal accurately reflected the performance of the servovalve. Meanwhile, the -3 dB bandwidth frequency of the LVT signal was similar to the spool displacement signal, except for a small-amplitude input signal, and the $-90^{\circ}$ phase lag bandwidth frequency showed some differences.

  • The LPR system's trigger sensor makes problem occasionally due to the heave weight of vehicle or the obsolescence equipment. If we replace the hardware sensor to the deep-learning based software sensor in order to generate the trigger signal, LPR system maintenance would be a lot easier. In this paper we proposed the deep-learning sliding window based object detection and tracking algorithm for the LPR system's trigger signal generation. The gate passing vehicle's license plate recognition results are combined into the normal tracking algorithm to catch the position of the vehicle on the trigger line. The experimental results show that the deep learning sliding window based trigger signal generating performance was 100% for the gate passing vehicles including the 5.5% trigger signal position errors due to the minimum bounding box location errors in the vehicle detection process.

  • In this paper, GPS signal anomaly generation software is proposed which can be used for the analysis of GPS signal anomaly effect and the design, verification, and operation test of anomalous signal monitoring technique. For the implementation of anomalous signal generation technique, anomalous signals are generated using a commercial signal generation simulator, and their effects and characteristics are analyzed. An error model equation is proposed from the result of analysis, and the anomalous signal generation software is constructed based on this equation. The proposed anomalous signal generation software has high scalability so that users can easily utilize and apply, and is economical as the additional cost for purchasing equipment is not necessary. Also, it is capable of anomalous signal generation based on real-time signal by comparing with the commercial signal generation simulator.

항공기용 신호 송출 POD의 설계 및 개발 (Design and Development of Signal Transmitting POD for Aircraft Application)

  • 본 연구에서는 항공기에 장착하여 S/C대역의 신호를 장거리 표적으로 방사하기 위한 장치를 개발하였다. 장치는 요구된 실효 등방성 복사전력을 충족시키기 위해 대역별 송신기와 광대역 안테나로 RF 인터페이스를 구성하였다. 장치의 외형은 항공기 연료탱크와 동일한 포드(pod) 형상으로 설계했고, 측정된 장치의 중량은 119.8 kg, 무게중심은 1391.35 mm 그리고 관성 모멘트는 46.07 ± 0.05(Iyy) kg·㎡과 45.36 ± 0.09(Izz) kg·㎡로 모두 항공기 장착을 위한 요구도를 충족함을 확인하였다. 비행 안전을 확인하기 위해 전자기 간섭 시험(RE102, CE102), 환경시험(고온/저온 운용, 고도), 체계 내 전자기 적합성 시험 그리고 인체 전자기 복사 위해도 시험을 수행하였으며, 모든 항목의 시험 결과가 요구사항을 충족함을 확인하였다. 장치는 요구되는 전기적/기계적으로 요구되는 사항을 모두 충족함으로써 항공기 장착이 가능함을 확인하였다.

고속철도차량의 주행 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Running Characteristic of High-Speed Train)

  • In this study, on-line measuring system were developed to verify performances and functions of traction system that are used in KTX(Korea Train eXpress) synthetically and efficiently, and have been measuring electric signals of vehicle as well as mechanical signals up to the present. Running-braking measuring equipment was constructed in vehicle to optimize signal acquisition and analysis ability of the measuring system. Measurement data of signal were performed acquisition, analysis and evaluation using this equipment. KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) described about main specifications of measuring equipment. Also, the structure and principles as well as main circuit system were explained in brief. KRRI analyzed the characteristics comparing design values with experimental values about running distance, running time and positive acceleration for KTX is running in full traction. We analyzed the distance and time according to number of motor block. In result, running characteristics of traction system in KTX were verified and could be evaluated.
