The authors have observed four cases of supernumerary teeth on the upper molar regions. The characteristics were as follow : 1. The sites of the supernumerary teeth were different on the right and left sides in female patietn. 2. The paramolar teeth were smaller than the normal molar teeth. 3. The extracted paramolar teeth had a sigle root and curved mesially.

Blue green algaes (NIES 19, 39, 46) have been cultivated to product sigle cell protein. After 7 days of cultivation under 5000 (W/M$^{2}$) of ligth intensity, final cell concentration was 2.8 (g/L) and chlorophyll a was 4.9 (mg/L). When initial concentration of NaHCOC was 1.7% and NaNO$_{3}$ was0.25%, maximum cell concentration was obtained. Spirulina platensis NIES 39 showed faster growth rate than NIES 46. While most 39 sedimented, most 46 floated.

This paper deals with the static characteristics of filters at the AC source in single phase PWM converter using hysterisis current control method. The filters are needed to reduce the current harmonics. In general, there are two kinds of filters which can be used for current controlled PWM converter. One is the low pass filter, the other is the resonant filter for a frequency. This paper designs these filters by analysing the characteristics. And these filters are compared through performance index such as harmonic reduction factor and the value of components which make up filters.

Procarcinogen induced DNA single-strand breaks and unschduled DNA synthesis were measured in primary rat hepatocytes culture. For DNA single-strand breaks assay, rat liver DNA was prelabeled by injection 3H-thymidine during the peak of DNA synthesis following partial hepatectomy. Hepatocytes were isolated from the rat 2 weeks after surgery by a collagenase perfusion techinique and maintained as monolayers in serum free medium on collagen-coated culture dishes. DNA sigle-strand breaks were measured by the alkaline elution techinique.

This study was performed to investigate therapeutic effects of Carthami Semen, Paeoniae Raidx extracts and chitosan on the growth and differentiation of human periodontal ligament cell. We found that co-treatment of methanol extracts of Carthami Semen and chitosan significantly increased the growth of human periodontal ligament cell. However, the sigle treatment groups of the extracts showed only 20-30% of the growth increase. Alkaline phosphase activity, one of differentiation markers, was increased approximately 1.5- fold by co-treatment of methanol extract of Carthami Semen and chitosan and calcified nodule formation was also increased at the similar levels as the alkaline phosphatase. But the single treatment groups showed only 20-30% increases. These results suggest that Carthami Semen and chitosan co-treatment can be used efficiently for periodontium regeneration.

Many studies on the plastic spin have been done, but it is still an opened subject. It is essential for the modelling of plastic spin to understand its origin and governing parameters. For the task, it is helpful to know the hehavior of sigle crystal. This study gives the interpretations for the plastic spin of a B.C.C(body centered cubic crystal) by numerical simulation. It is discussed that the different levels of shear stresses induced on each slip pair in crystallographic slip systems and the nonlinear relationship between shear stress and slip velocity are the fundamental mechanisms of plastic spins. Finally some comments are provided on the plastic spin of polycrystal.

본 논문에서는 SSE(Streaming Sigle instruction multiple data Extensions)명령어를 이용한 고속 Sobel edge detection 알고리즘을 제안한다. SSE를 지원하는 CPU는 128bit의 SSE 레지스터를 보유하고 있으며 이에 속한 데이터는 한 번에 병렬적으로 처리 될 수 있다. 실험은 Sobel 연산에 대하여 순차처리 코딩, 이미지 처리 라이브러리인 OpenCV, MIL 8.0, IPP 5.2를 이용한 코딩, shift 알고리즘을 사용한 SSE 코딩, 제안하는 방법을 이용한 SSE 프로그램 코팅에 대해 각각의 수행 시간을 측정하고 이를 비교하였다. 실험결과 제안하는 방법은 순차코팅에 비해 약 12배, OpenCV에 비해 13배, MIL에 비해 2배 정도 빨랐으며, IPP에 대해선 약간 빠른 성능 향상을 보였다. 또한 일반적인 shift를 이용한 방법보다 제안하는 방법은 대략 1.5배 정도의 성능 향상이 있었다. 이를 통해 제안하는 방법은 라이브러리를 구입하는 비용을 들이지 않으며 추가적 하드웨어의 구입 없이도 PC에서 빠른 Sobel 연산을 수행 할 수 있음을 보였다.

The abbreviation (specially, an acronym) are used more nowadays. However we are using them carelessly unknowing that there are some reducing patterns. In this paper, we will first analyse the right oralization and the phonemicization of abbreviation on the basis of the group types. Then, we will propose necessary and sufficient conditions to recognize how to read or pronounce the acronyms and in which way, when they are converted from the text to the speech. We have limited the use of acronym to the graphem-phoneme relations, and the diversity of the usage to minimized, and therefore we could define clearly the characteristics of the phonetic chains. In conclusion, we could find that there are more phonemicization in producing acronyms with these phonetic chains characteristics, and these phonetic based acronyms are increasingly used in the field of aviation and medicine.

In this paper, a new method of SVPWM implementation for 3-Phase 3-Leg 3-Level AC/DC converter known as the Vienna converter is proposed. Also the performances of PI and PR controller used in AC input current controller are compared. To verify the proposed method, PSIM, a power electronics simulation program, is utilized. The performances of the proposed new method and the two existing methods are compared through simulation and experiment. Also PI and PR controller in AC input current controller are compared through 10[kW] Vienna converter system.
