보도포장의 종류에 따른 보행자의 안전성 및 쾌적감에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Safety and Comfort of Pedestrians according to the Type of Sidewalk Pavement)

  • Safety, resilience and comfort of pedestrian were assessed by the British Pendulum Test and SB/GB factor test at 8 kinds of sidewalk pavement. Sidewalk paving materials were normal concrete, porous concrete, concrete block, soil concrete, asphalt, rubber chip/resin mixture, wood chip/resin mixture and floor tile. In addition, a survey was conducted to investigate the perception of pedestrians on the sidewalk paving material. As a result, while the skid resistance value was measured in the most 60BPN above, the floor tile showed a low value of about 30BPN. The ratios of SB factor to GB factor of the elastic pavements(rubber/resin mixture and wood chip/resin mixture) appeared to be relatively large when compared with those of the conventional sidewalks. The survey showed that respondents perceived as more safe and comfortable elastic pavements compared to conventional pavements. Approximately 50% of respondents answered that hardened soil pavement was the most environmentally friendly.

  • Recently, the maintenance period of sidewalk pavement proposed in Ministry of Construction & Transportation to be extended by more than 10 years. Therefore it takes many interests in Durability and the maintenance. Beside sidewalk pavement, block pavement happened problems in parking and road less than 20km/hr about bearing capacity and durability, the maintenance. It interests about importance of environmentally friendly sidewalk pavement. It compared engineering characteristics about strength and durability through general pavement comparison with stone block pavement. It estimate bearing capacity in actual si-tu site and test site. It experimented plate bearing test and field density test. It verified about durability of pavement by construction availability of geosynthetics that is constructed by purpose of filter. Stone block pavement evaluated about application of sidewalk/road pavement on the basis of result.

교통약자를 고려한 보도의 경사도와 높이 결정을 위한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on the Determination of Slope and Height of Curbs Considering the VRUs)

  • PURPOSES : As the population of the mobility handicapped, who are classified as the disabled, the elderly, pregnant women, children, etc., has increased, the voices for guaranteeing their rights have been increasing as well. Thus, the design manuals for roads and sidewalks for the mobility handicapped were developed by the local government, such as the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Tourism, in Seoul City. However, according to the 2013 survey results of the Seoul Metropolitan City, the mobility handicapped still feel uncomfortable with the sidewalks, and particularly request for the improvement of the step and slope of the sidewalk curb. Therefore, in this study, we conducted an empirical experimental study to determine the slope of the sidewalk curb and height of the steps considering the mobility handicapped and analyzed whether there is a statistically significant difference. METHODS : The methodology of this study is an empirical experimental one. In the study, five non-disabled people, 10 wheelchair users, and 10 eye patch and stick users walked about 2-3 min on the sidewalk plates of the sloped type (0%, 5%, 6.3%, 8.3%) and stepped type (0 cm, 1 cm, 3 cm, 6 cm), and their human physiological responses, such as the skin temperature, volume of perspiration on forehead and chest, and heart rate, were measured and recorded. After combining the data, we conducted a nonparametric test, ANOVA, or t-test to determine whether there was a statistically significant difference according to each slope and step type. RESULTS : It was found that for the non-disabled, there was no significant difference in human physiological responses according to the slope and steps of the sidewalk. It can be said that the non-disabled do not feel much physiological discomfort while walking. In the case of the sloped sidewalk plate, the heart rate of the wheel chair users increased when the slope was 6.3%. In the case of the eye patch and stick users, the volume of perspiration on the chest increased at a slope of 5.0%. In general, it is judged that a sidewalk with a slope that is less than 5% does not cause a change in the physiological response. In the case of a stepped sidewalk plate, when 0 cm, 1 cm, and 3 cm were compared for wheelchair users, the amount of forehead perspiration increased from 1 cm. Meanwhile, in the case of the eye patch and stick users, when 0 cm and 6 cm were compared, the amount of perspiration on the forehead and chest as well as the heart rate all increased at 6 cm. Taken together, in the case of wheelchair users, a difference was shown when the height of the step of the sidewalk plate was 1 cm, suggesting that installing it at 0 cm does not cause any physiological discomfort. Moreover, in the case of the eye patch and stick users, when comparing only 0 cm and 6 cm, 0 cm was considered to be suitable, as there was a difference in physiological response at 6 cm. CONCLUSIONS : In this study, we set the human physiological responses such as chest skin temperature, amount of perspiration, and heart rate as evaluation items, and our study was considered to be a meaningful experiment that targeted wheelchair users as well as eye patch and stick users. The validity of the evaluation items was confirmed, as the results of human physiological responses were significant. As for the sidewalk design, according to the experiment result, it is considered that differential application should be implemented according to the type of mobility handicap, rather than uniformly applying a sidewalk step of 2 cm and sidewalk slope of 1/25, which are the current legal standards.

석분슬러지와 광촉매제를 사용한 콘크리트 보도블록의 특성 (Characteristics of Concrete Sidewalk Block Manufactured Using Stone Powder Sludge and photocatalytic agent)

  • 본 연구는 보도블록 제조시 표면 연마 과정에서 발생되는 석분슬러지의 재활용 및 광촉매제를 사용하여 콘크리트 보도블록의 백화 특성을 검토한 것으로 석분슬러지 사용량에 따른 보도블록의 품질특성과 광촉매제의 혼입률 및 도포횟수 등에 따른 보도블록의 백화, 대기정화 등의 특성을 평가하였다. 실험결과, 석분슬러지를 재활용한 콘크리트 보도블록은 납, 6가크롬, 카드뮴, 수은 등의 중금속이 불검출 되어 재활용이 가능하며, 콘크리트 보도블록에 혼입사용 할 경우 흡수율 및 휨강도 등 KS 기준 값을 충족시킬 수 있는 혼입량은 20%가 최적임을 나타내었다. 석분슬러지 및 광촉매제를 적용한 콘크리트 보도블록은 흡수율 5.4%, 휨강도 5.2MPa로 품질기준을 만족하였다. 또한 광촉매제의 사용은 $-5^{\circ}C$의 저온환경 조건에서도 백화가 발생되지 않았으며, 대기정화 성능 70%, 촉진내후성 시험후 대기정화 성능시험 68%의 기능성을 나타내었다.

도로용 태양광 모듈 실증 모델 결과 분석 (Analysis of Actual Test for Road Solar Module)

  • Road photovoltaic power generation is a technology that combines photovoltaic power generation while maintaining the function of the existing road by installing special photovoltaic modules on it. In this paper, we developed three types of modules and structures suitable for sidewalk blocks and element technology for the development of a solar road module for a sidewalk and bicycle road. The road solar potential in Korea is 10 GW. After analyzing the daily data obtained after the construction of a 10 kW solar road testbed, it was found that its utilization rate compared to the general photovoltaic energy is 80%.

노반 및 공극 막힘 현상에 따른 투수성 보도블록의 불포화 상태에서의 배수 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (Effect of Bedding Layer and Clogging on Drainage Capacity of Pervious Sidewalk Block in Unsaturated Condition)

  • 본 연구는 실제 시공 환경에서 투수성 보도블록의 표면 유출 및 배수 특성을 알아보고자 하였으며, 표층 및 노반을 포함한 시편을 대상으로 불포화 상태에서 도심 내 우수 조건을 고려한 배수 실험을 진행하였다. 일정한 시간 간격을 두고 반복적인 배수 실험 및 공극 막힘 실험이 시행되었으며, 정량적 분석을 위하여 3D X-ray CT 이미지 분석 및 증발 실험을 시행하였다. 실험 결과, 시간 간격 동안 발생한 증발로 인해 공극 내 물이 공간적으로 재분포되어 표면 유출을 야기시키는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 공기에 노출되어 있는 표층보다 시편 하부에 위치한 노반의 공극 변화가 투수성 보도블록의 배수, 증발 등 전체적인 수리학적 거동을 크게 저하시켰다. 또한 공극 내 침전물은 증발로 인한 변화를 증진 시키며, 이 때 저하된 배수 성능은 쉽게 회복되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 선행우수조건에 의하여 배수 성능이 저감되면서 최대 표면 유출 높이가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

태양광 발전을 위한 보도형 콘크리트 블록의 현장 적용과 유지관리 (Field Application and Maintenance of sidewalk concrete block for PV Power Generation)

  • 파리기후협정에 따른 온실가스 자발적 감축 의무 이행을 위해 세계적으로 석탄발전과 원자력발전의 비중을 줄이고 태양광 발전을 비롯한 재생에너지의 보급에 국가적 노력을 기울이고 있다. 우리나라도 법령을 도입하여 2040년까지 재생에너지의 발전비중을 30~35%까지 늘리고자 하고 있다. 또한 국외에서는 태양광 발전을 보도 및 도로에 적용하고자 하고 노력하고 있으나 국내의 경우 관련 연구가 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 태양광발전 도로를 개발하기 위한 선행연구로서 보도 및 광장에 적용가능한 태양광 발전 콘크리트 블록을 개발하였으며 이를 현장에 시공하여 적용성을 평가하였다. 실내실험결과 압축강도는 25.5~35.7MPa이 측정되었고 휨강도는 5.1~10.5MPa이 측정되어 국내 기준은 모두 만족하는 것으로 나타났으나 단위시멘트량이 많을수록 부순잔골재의 혼입에 따라 강도가 낮게 측정되었다. 흡수율은 최대 5.7%로 나타나 국내 기준인 7%이하를 만족하였으며 동결융해시험 결과 100싸이클 후 압축강도 감소율은 최대 6.3%로 나타나 양호한 수준으로 측정되었다. 시공 후 침하량을 측정결과 최대 2.498mm가 측정되었으며 전면적에 대해 불규칙한 침하가 발생하였는데 이는 시공시 모래층의 다짐이 불량하였거나 우수에 의한 모래 유출로 인한 것으로 판단된다. 초기발전량의 경우 일사량을 고려하면 적정량이 측정되었다. 태양광 패널과 콘크리트 블록의 유지관리 기법은 추후 연구를 통하여 보다 효율적으로 확립할 필요가 있다.

A Few Remarks on the Alkali-aggregate Reaction of Recycled-glass Concrete

  • The authors have proposed that waste glass, which is crushed to pieces, can be used as a concrete aggregate. At the present time, recycled-glass concrete is used for sidewalk concrete blocks and pavement as glass is ornamental. However, in cases where recycled-glass concrete is used for structural concrete, strength and durability are required as structural concrete is exposed to the weather. Glass that is used generally is a mixture of SiO$_2$, Na$_2$O and CaO. SiO$_2$is the most likely cause of alkali-aggregate reaction when waste glass was used for concrete aggregate. In this study, an alkali-aggregate reaction test that is one of the important tests related to durability of aggregate was carried out far discussion of utilization of waste glass for concrete aggregate. From the results of the tests, it is found that glass is a reactive aggregate. The pessimum proportion of glass is about 75%. Then the cases of using fly ash, blast furnace slag and artificial zeolite for admixture materials were also examined for the purpose of prevention of alkali-aggregate reaction. from the results of the test, it was found that using them is an effective way to prevent alkali-aggregate reaction. The compressive strength in the cases of using admixture materials is larger than that without admixture materials.

Wood Chip을 사용한 자원순환형 보도 포장체의 물성에 관한 연구 (Physical Properties of Recycled Sidewalk Pavement Using Wood Chip)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반 보행자 도로의 형태 및 문제점을 찾아보고 공원 산책로 및 관광지의 보도 등과 같은 일반적인 보도용 포장체에 Wood Chip과 바인더로써 우레탄 수지를 사용하여 새로운 형태의 자원순환형 보도 포장체의 물성에 관한 연구를 실시하였다. 포장재의 물성실험은 인장강도 시험, 투수성 시험, 탄력성 시험, 침수후의 인장강도 변화 등을 실시하였고, 또한 2.5~5mm 크기의 잔골재를 사용한 효과에 대해서도 검토하였다. 인장강도 시험은 침수전과 침수후로 나누어 시험하였으며 침수전 1.06MPa, 침수후 0.67MPa의 인장강도를 나타내 36.8%의 인장강도 감소율을 나타내었다. 투수성 시험은 투수성 포장체의 현장 투수시험 방법에 의거해 실험하였으며 시험 결과 투수계수는 0.67~0.78mm/s의 값으로 모두 0.1mm/s 의 목표투수계수를 초과하였다. 탄력성 시험은 일본 도로협회의 탄력성시험방법에 따라 실시하였으며 GB계수 21%, SB계수 10%의 값을 나타냈고 잔골재의 양이 증가할수록 GB계수, SB계수 모두 점차 증가하는 경향을 나타냈었다.

공공공간의 유니버설디자인 평가체계 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of Universal Design Evaluation System in the Public Space)

  • Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation system using the weighted-values of various users and experts for the public space to apply Universal Design, and additionally to find out the commonalities and differences by comparing the importance of evaluation indicators between users and expert groups. Method: A one-sample t-test was conducted to verify that the components of the public space to universal design application are suitable as evaluation indicators, and AHP(analytic hierarchy process) was performed to derive weight-values for the evaluation system. Results: The importance-values for the total 23 facilities to be used as evaluation indicators were derived by multiplying the weighted-values of each sector, domain, and facility by the disabled, non-disabled, and experts. To summarize the results of overall importance-values derived from the AHP, The disabled showed high-rank weighted-values in facilities of building sector > park & recreation sector > cross domain and low-rank weighted-values for sidewalk and roadway domain. The non-disabled showed high-rank weighted-values in facilities of park & recreation sector > roadway domain > building sector > cross domain and low-rank weighted-values for sidewalk domain. Experts mainly showed high-rank weighted-values in the cross domain and in facilities related to entry and movement to the target space in all sectors and domains. However, it showed moderate importance-values in the sanitary space. The disabled who are restricted to movement have a high demand for universal design in buildings consisting of vertical moving line, and non-disabled people who are not limited to physical movement have a high demand for universal design in parks and recreation sector for increased leisure time. It means that experts are important to recognize the principles of making space because they value cross domain and the key spaces and facilities for suitable the purpose of use. In addition, it can be inferred that non-disabled people have a higher demand for safety than disabled people due to their high importance in roadway domain and facilities of safety and disaster prevention. Implications: The significance of this study is the establishment of a quantitative universal design evaluation system for public spaces considering the different perspectives of the disabled and the non-disabled.
