Flexural behavior of cold-formed steel concrete composite beams

  • Flexural behavior of thin walled steel-concrete composite sections as cross sections for beams is investigated by conducting an experimental study supported by applicable analytical predictions. The experimental study consists of testing up to failure, simply supported beams of effective span 1440 mm under two point loading. The test specimens consisted of composite box and channel (with lip placed on tension side and compression side) sections, the behavior of which was compared with companion empty sections. To understand the role of shear connectors in developing the composite action, some of the composite sections were provided with novel simple bar type and conventional bolt type shear connectors in the shear zone of beams. Two RCC beams having equivalent ultimate moment carrying capacities as that of composite channel and box sections were also considered in the study. The study showed that the strength to weight ratio of composite beams is much higher than RCC beams and ductility index is also more than RCC and empty beams. The analytical predictions were found to compare fairly well with the experimental results, thereby validating the applicability of rigid plastic theory to cold-formed steel concrete composite beams.

Secure Hardware Implementation of ARIA Based on Adaptive Random Masking Technique

  • The block cipher ARIA has been threatened by side-channel analysis, and much research on countermeasures of this attack has also been produced. However, studies on countermeasures of ARIA are focused on software implementation, and there are no reports about hardware designs and their performance evaluation. Therefore, this article presents an advanced masking algorithm which is strong against second-order differential power analysis (SODPA) and implements a secure ARIA hardware. As there is no comparable report, the proposed masking algorithm used in our hardware module is evaluated using a comparison result of software implementations. Furthermore, we implement the proposed algorithm in three types of hardware architectures and compare them. The smallest module is 10,740 gates in size and consumes an average of 47.47 ${\mu}W$ in power consumption. Finally, we make ASIC chips with the proposed design, and then perform security verification. As a result, the proposed module is small, energy efficient, and secure against SODPA.

LEA에 대한 부채널 분석 및 대응 방법 (Side channel Attacks on LEA and Its Countermeasures)

  • 최근 사물 인터넷에 대한 정보보호가 이슈화되면서 이에 적합한 알고리즘에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내에서도 IoT환경에 적합한 경량 대칭키 암호 알고리즘인 LEA(Lightweight Encryption Algorithm)를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 LEA 암호에 대한 1차 전력 분석 방법들을 소개하고 이를 실험적으로 검증하였다. 그리고 1차 전력분석에 안전하도록 LEA를 설계하는 방법을 제안한다. 설계된 LEA 부채널 분석대응법의 효율성을 비교하기 위해 동일한 안전도를 제공하는 AES 부채널 대응법과 비교하였다.

  • 가로흐름에 같은 수심으로 그리고 직각으로 방류되는 ?흐름의 귀환현상이 차원해석과 수리실험을 통하여 해석된다. 운동량?의 경우 무차원귀환거리 $L/I_m$와 두께 $H/I_m$는 운동량특성길이와 방류구폭의 비 $I_m/W$, 부력?의 경우 무차원귀환거리 $L/I_b$는 부력특성길이와 운동량길특성의 비 $I_b/I_m$, 무차원온도분포 ${\Gamma}_m$은 무차원흐름방향거리 $x/I_b$의 영향을 받으며 이들은 모두 멱법칙으로 예측될 수 있다. 귀환의 발생여부는 속도비 R에 좌우되며 본 연구에서는 R>4.0때 귀환이 발생하지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 분산 비디오 부호화기법은 초경량의 비디오 부호화기법에 대한 이론적인 근거를 제공하고 있다. 기존에 많이 연구되어온 분산 비디오 부호화기법은 주로 스탠포드 대학교의 연구에 기초하고 있으며, 피드백 채널을 통하여 비트율을 정교하게 제어하는 방법을 사용하고 있다. 그러나 이 방법은 복호화기에서 수신된 패리티 비트에 의해 복원된 각 프레임의 품질에 대한 평가하는 방법은 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 보조정보에 있는 가상채널잡음을 보정함으로써 왜곡크기를 예측하고 또한 복원된 영상의 화질측정을 손쉽게 측정할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 다수의 실험을 통하여 제안한 방법은 복원된 프레임의 왜곡을 효과적으로 예측할 수 있음을 보인다.

Multi-Channel Vision System for On-Line Quantification of Appearance Quality Factors of Apple

  • An integrated on-line inspection system was constructed with seven cameras, half mirrors to split images. 720 nm and 970 nm band pass filters, illumination chamber having several tungsten-halogen lamps, one main computer, one color frame grabber, two 4-channel multiplexors, and flat plate conveyer, etc. A total of seven images, that is, one color image form the top of an apple and two B/W images from each side (top, right and left) could be captured and displayed on a computer monitor through the multiplexor. One of the two B/W images captured from each side is 720nm filtered image and the other is 970 nm. With this system an on-line grading software was developed to evaluate appearance quality. On-line test results with Fuji apples that were manually fed on the conveyer showed that grading accuracies of the color, defect and shape were 95.3%, 86% and 88.6%, respectively. Grading time was 0.35 second per apple on an average. Therefore, this on-line grading system could be used for inspection of the final products produced from an apple sorting system.

智異山 國立公園 道路비탈면에 對한 조사 硏究 (A Study on the Roadside Slope of the Parkway in Chi-Ri Mountain National Park)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the roadside slope of mountainous Parkway. 48 sites were selected by Random Ranking Sampling. This study was researched on the slope condition with the cause of occurrence, the situation of fundamental engineering works and vegetation on slopes. The main results of this research are summarized as follow ; 1. Slope shapes are shown nine types in cut slope and four types in fill slope. 2. Generally, fill slopes are larger than cut slopes in slop area. 3. Grade is more steep than standard grade. 4. Main engineering works, which constructed for slope stability, are terracing, side-ditch wall, channel, concrete trellis works and wire fence. 5. Roundabout channel were many constructed within the sector of Ukmojeong-Deokdong, but were few constructed within the sector of Banseon-Seongsam pass and Cheoneun Temple-Seongsam pass. 6. Most. of side-ditch wall were constructed of concrete and wet-masonry. 7. In vegetation works, many exterior species were selected. 8. Planting pattern was not combinated with the national park landscape.

Mutual Information Analysis for Three-Phase Dynamic Current Mode Logic against Side-Channel Attack

  • To date, many different kinds of logic styles for hardware countermeasures have been developed; for example, SABL, TDPL, and DyCML. Current mode-based logic styles are useful as they consume less power compared to voltage mode-based logic styles such as SABL and TDPL. Although we developed TPDyCML in 2012 and presented it at the WISA 2012 conference, we have further optimized it in this paper using a binary decision diagram algorithm and confirmed its properties through a practical implementation of the AES S-box. In this paper, we will explain the outcome of HSPICE simulations, which included correlation power attacks, on AES S-boxes configured using a compact NMOS tree constructed from either SABL, CMOS, TDPL, DyCML, or TPDyCML. In addition, to compare the performance of each logic style in greater detail, we will carry out a mutual information analysis (MIA). Our results confirm that our logic style has good properties as a hardware countermeasure and 15% less information leakage than those secure logic styles used in our MIA.

온수방류의 귀환에 방류구 길이의 영향 (Effect of Length of Outfall Structure on Reattachment of Thermal Discharge)

  • 돌출방류수로에 의하여 동일한 수심의 개수로에 방류되는 부력방류에 의한 연안귀환이 수리실험에 의하여 해석되었다. 부력방류는 온수를 방류하여 발생된다. 돌출방류로 인하여 부력류 하류에 형성되는 재순환영역의 크기는 비돌출방류에서 보다 증가하는 경향을 갖으나 황온도분포는 균일하고 횡단면 최대온도는 감소를 나타낸다. 높은 부력흐름율과는 반대로 낮은 부력흐름율 조건에서 단면평균온도 또는 열흐름율은 돌출길이의 영향이 무시할 정도이다. 비돌출의 경우에는 연안귀환에 유속비가 지배적인 매개변수이었으나 돌출방류의 경우에는 유속비와 후르드수가 다같이 지배적인 인자로 나타났다.

선형판별분석을 이용한 전력분석 기법의 성능 향상 (The Enhanced Power Analysis Using Linear Discriminant Analysis)

  • 전력소모량을 이용한 부채널 분석의 성능 향상을 위해 다양한 분석기법이 제안되고 있다. 이들 중, 사전처리 단계에서 적용 가능한 파형압축은 전력분석을 위한 소요시간을 단축하고 수집신호의 잡음성분을 줄이기 위해 널리 사용되는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 영상처리 등에 많이 사용되고 있는 선형판별분석(Linear Discriminant Analysis)을 이용한 전력분석기법을 제안한다. 또한, 실험을 통해 기존의 파형압축방법 중 가장 성능이 좋은 것으로 알려진 주성분분석(Principal Component Analysis)을 이용한 방법과의 성능 비교를 통해 제안기법의 우수성을 증명한다.
