In order to improve the performance of analysis, it is important to consider the nonlinearity in power system. The Carleman embedding technique (linearization procedure) provides an effective approach in reduction of nonlinear systems. In the approach, a group of differential equations in which the state variables are formed by the original state variables and the vector monomials one can build with products of positive integer powers of them, is constructed. In traditional Carleman linearization technique, the tensor matrix is truncated to form a square matrix, and then regular linear system theory is used to solve the truncated system directly. However, it is found that part of nonlinear information is neglected when truncating the Carleman model. This paper proposes a new approach to solve the problem, by combining the Poincar$\acute{e}$ transformation with the Carleman linearization. Case studies are presented to verify the proposed method. Modal analysis shows that, with traditional Carleman linearization, the calculated contribution factors are not symmetrical, while such problems are avoided in the improved approach.

Polygonatum cyrtonema Lectin (PCL), which is classified as a monocot mannose-binding lectin, has received great regards for its uniquely biological activities and potentially medical applications in cancer cells. This paper was initially aimed to study apoptosis of PCL on Hela cells. Thus, 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method was carried out. Through observation of cell morphologic changes and Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity-based cytotoxicity assays, PCL induced HeLa cell apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner. To further gain structural basis, multiple alignments, homology modeling and docking experiments were performed to analyze the correlation between its biological activities and mannose-binding sites. Eventually, considering docking data, chemical modification properties on the three mannose-binding sites were analyzed by a series of biological experiments (e.g., hemagglutinating and mitogenic activity assays, fluorescence and Circular Dichrosim (CD) spectroscopy) to profoundly identify the role of some key amino acids in the structure-function relationship of PCL.

In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of random completely generalized nonlinear variational inclusions with non-compact valued random mappings and construct some new iterative algorithms. We prove the existence of random solutions for this class of random variational inclusions and the convergence of random iterative sequences generated by the algorithms.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study the semigroups of nonlinear contractions in probabilistic normed spaces and to establish the Crandall-Liggett's exponential formula for some kind of accretive mappings in probabilistic normed spaces. As applications, we utilize these results to study the Cauchy problem for a kind of differential inclusions with accertive mappings in probabilistic normed spaces.

The Belousov-Zhabotinskii system measured by a Pt electrode is investigated under external electrode current constraint. A dynamical analysis of the electrode reaction phase has been made by means of a linearized stability criterion valid for three-variable system. It turns out that limit cycle oscillatory regime and dynamical behaviors of the electrode reaction phase have been degenerated under periodical electrode current.

The authors report here a rare case of cerebellar schistosomiasis identified by pathological diagnosis, lacking extracranial involvement. The clinical symptoms included headache, dizziness, and nausea. Studies in blood were normal and no parasite eggs were detected in stool. Computed tomography of brains showed hypodense signal, and magnetic resonance imaging showed isointense signal on T1-weighted images, hyperintense signal on T2-weighted images, and intensely enhancing nodules in the right cerebellum after intravenous administration of gadolinium. A high-grade glioma was suspected, and an operation was performed. The pathologic examination of the biopsy specimen revealed schistosomal granulomas scattered within the parenchyma of the cerebellum. The definitive diagnosis was cerebellar schistosomiasis japonica. A standard use of praziquantel and corticosteroid drugs was applied, and the prognosis was good. When the pattern of imaging examinations is present as mentioned above, a diagnosis of brain schistosomiasis should be considered.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship between residents' positive and negative perceptions on tourism impact, attitudes and support for tourism development. It was also investigate the moderating effects of gender and residence status of local residents among the relationships. Design/methodology/approach - The survey conducted for residents of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. A total of 520 samples were employed for the final analysis, and the collected data were performed using SPSS and AMOS. Findings - It was found that the residents' positive and negative perceptions on tourism impact had significant effects on the attitudes and support for tourism development. In addition, the gender and residence status of local residents showed a partial moderating effect among the relationships. Research implications - The theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

Objective: The QingYu pig is well known for its excellent meat quality attributes in Sichuan province, China. In order to improve its production efficiency, the determination of genetic factors contributing to quantifiable economic traits of livestock is important. Moreover, the cross-breeding of QingYu pigs with western breeds possessing strong growth attributes is an efficient way to improve the performance of this breed. Methods: Here, the genetic parameters of several important reproductive traits of QingYu pigs were estimated, include total number born (TNB), number born alive, litter birth weight, individual birth weight, number of piglets weaned, litter weaning weight, and individual weaning weight. The data was analyzed using the ASReml 3.0 software (NSW Inc., Sydney, Australia). Furthermore, the effects of crossing Berkshire with QingYu (BQ) pigs on carcass and meat quality traits, as well as the effects of slaughter weight on carcass and meat quality of BQ were characterized. Results: QingYu pigs exhibited superior reproductive traits. The TNB available to QingYu pigs was more than 8 per parity. The observed repeatability of the reproductive traits of the QingYu pigs was between 0.10 and 0.23. The significantly correlated genetic and phenotypic of reproduction traits were consistent. Interestingly, the BQ pigs exhibited improved carcass quality, with a significant increase in loin muscle area, lean percentage and reduction in sebum percentage. As a result, BQ had higher L_45min, lower cooking scores, and lower drip loss. In addition, the loin muscle area, body length, and sebum percentage were significantly higher in 90 and 100 kg animals. Cooking loss showed a significant increase at 80 kg, and marbling increased significantly from 90 kg. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that QingYu pigs exhibit excellent reproductive properties and heritability of these traits. Crossing with Berkshire is an efficient strategy to improve the carcass and meat quality of QingYu pigs for commercial operations. Furthermore, it appears as though the optimal slaughter weight of BQ pigs is at approximately 90 kg.
