Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a standard language for specifying, visualizing, constructing, and documenting the artifacts of software systems. It simplifies the complex process of software design, making a blueprint for construction. In this paper, we apply automated application generation tools such as Rational Rose and BizWiz to a realistic cyber shopping mall and then compare and analyze them in the view of UML. We also propose some methods for the systematic system analysis, design, and implementation by applying UML to a customer management system based on above results.

As the structure of a construction, such as a building and a shopping mall, becomes more wide and complex, it is difficult for an user to find out a path to a desginated destination. However, since the existing navigation systems exploit the Global Positioning System in order to measure a current position, it is impossible to be used on the indoor environment. To solve this problem, we propose an indoor navigation system using beacon signal. The proposed system connects to a pre-installed beacon exploiting bluetooth on the user's smartphone. After receiving the data of the beacon, the system generates and displays a path based on the destination which the user put on and the current position measured by the beacon's data. The implemented indoor navigation system has the benefit to show the path to the destination easily at the complex indoor structure.

The purpose of this study is to present the classification and operation systems of fashion offline stores. This research analyzed fashion literatures, articles and papers published by fashion-related companies and interviewed fashion practitioners. This research can be used as information for practitioners of the domestic fashion brand and students of fashion majors. The classification and operation systems of fashion offline stores are as follows. 1. The types of fashion offline store is classified as a form of road shop, department store, complex shopping center, select shop, outlet, and fashion wholesale retail specialty store. 2. The road shop is classified flagship store, franchise store, direct sales store, and street brand store. 3. The department store is recently using strategy to improve the profit rate, as setting up the select shop, expand the import contemporary brand stores, the men's brand stores, SPA brand stores, the street brand stores, and the soho internet shopping mall brands instead of reducing the national brands. 4. Most forms of fashion offline stores enhanced the functions to combine the catering, cultural activities and purchasing the lifestyle-related products, as well as fashion items. 5. The types of the operation system in fashion offline stores is classified as direct operations, franchise operations, middle management operations, and fully insert operations. 6. Franchise operations are tended to decline, however middle manager operations are overwhelming.
The increasing interest in big data analysis using various data mining techniques indicates that many commercial data mining tools now need to be equipped with fundamental text analysis modules. The most essential prerequisite for accurate analysis of text documents is an understanding of the exact semantics of each term in a document. The main difficulties in understanding the exact semantics of terms are mainly attributable to homonym and synonym problems, which is a traditional problem in the natural language processing field. Some major text mining tools provide a thesaurus to solve these problems, but a thesaurus cannot be used to resolve complex synonym problems. Furthermore, the use of a thesaurus is irrelevant to the issue of homonym problems and hence cannot solve them. In this paper, we propose a semantic text mining methodology that uses ontologies to improve the quality of text mining results by resolving the semantic ambiguity caused by homonym and synonym problems. We evaluate the practical applicability of the proposed methodology by performing a classification analysis to predict customer churn using real transactional data and Q&A articles from the "S" online shopping mall in Korea. The experiments revealed that the prediction model produced by our proposed semantic text mining method outperformed the model produced by traditional text mining in terms of prediction accuracy such as the response, captured response, and lift.
The Korea Land Corporation have planned Chongna site in Incheon as a great complex town including residence, financial center, resort, shopping mall, tour and sport. One of the large estate(17,800,000$m^2$) is under construction. Cheongna site is divided into six zoning parts, according to the meaning of 6 jewels(crystal, sapphire, ruby, emerald, jade, pearl, diamond). KLC required to me 6 pedestrian with various special forms and structural system. I will introduce a various pedestrians. There are not only 4 stayed and suspended bridges, but also a truss and arch bridges.
Case-based reasoning (CBR) often shows significant promise for improving effectiveness of complex and unstructured decision making. Consequently, it has been applied to various problem-solving areas including manufacturing, finance and marketing. However, the design of appropriate case indexing and retrieval mechanisms to improve the performance of CBR is still challenging issue. Most of previous studies to improve the effectiveness for CBR have focused on the similarity function or optimization of case features and their weights. However, according to some of prior researches, finding the optimal k parameter for k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) is also crucial to improve the performance of CBR system. Nonetheless, there have been few attempts which have tried to optimize the number of neighbors, especially using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. In this study, we introduce a genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize the number of neighbors to combine. This study applies the new model to the real-world case provided by an online shopping mall in Korea. Experimental results show that a GA-optimized k-NN approach outperforms other AI techniques for purchasing behavior forecasting.

This study analyzed the most frequently used navigation cases in a desktop environment. As a result of the research, GNB induces users' search as the top element of the search structure and can place color, text, icon, and image elements. LNB could be classified in the form of a dropdown, flyout, dropline and mega menu. In this study, the navigation structure of Interpark and Interpark among open markets used by users was analyzed. G-Market's GNB has a two-tier structure with color, text, image, and icon elements, and Interpark has a three-tiered horizontal label. Interpark's GNB drew attention by placing a badge on the seasonal label, which is a temporary content section, unlike G-market. It can be seen that the LNBs of both shopping malls have flyout menus that protrude when you mouse over the category menu arranged in a vertical text form under the logo placed on the left. The flyout menu has a complex structure consisting of the layout of the mega menu. This study is meaningful in revealing user experience elements by analyzing the GNB and LNB of shopping malls these days where internet shopping is increasing.
It is difficult to evaluate the performance of process innovation of e-procurement which has large scale and complex processes. The existing evaluation methods for measuring the effects of process innovation have been mainly done with statistically quantitative methods by analyzing operational data or with qualitative methods by conducting surveys and interviews. However, these methods have some limitations to evaluate the effects because the performance evaluation of e-procurement process innovation should consider the interactions among participants who are active either directly or indirectly through the processes. This study considers the e-procurement process as a complex system and develops a simulation model based on MAS(Multi-Agent System) to evaluate the effects of e-procurement process innovation. Multi-agent based simulation allows observing interaction patterns of objects in virtual world through relationship among objects and their behavioral mechanism. Agent-based simulation is suitable especially for complex business problems. In this study, we used Netlogo Version 4.1.3 as a MAS simulation tool which was developed in Northwestern University. To do this, we developed a interaction model of agents in MAS environment. We defined process agents and task agents, and assigned their behavioral characteristics. The developed simulation model was applied to G2B system (KONEPS: Korea ON-line E-Procurement System) of Public Procurement Service (PPS) in Korea and used to evaluate the innovation effects of the G2B system. KONEPS is a successfully established e-procurement system started in the year 2002. KONEPS is a representative e-Procurement system which integrates characteristics of e-commerce into government for business procurement activities. KONEPS deserves the international recognition considering the annual transaction volume of 56 billion dollars, daily exchanges of electronic documents, users consisted of 121,000 suppliers and 37,000 public organizations, and the 4.5 billion dollars of cost saving. For the simulation, we analyzed the e-procurement of process of KONEPS into eight sub processes such as 'process 1: search products and acquisition of proposal', 'process 2 : review the methods of contracts and item features', 'process 3 : a notice of bid', 'process 4 : registration and confirmation of qualification', 'process 5 : bidding', 'process 6 : a screening test', 'process 7 : contracts', and 'process 8 : invoice and payment'. For the parameter settings of the agents behavior, we collected some data from the transactional database of PPS and some information by conducting a survey. The used data for the simulation are 'participants (government organizations, local government organizations and public institutions)', 'the number of bidding per year', 'the number of total contracts', 'the number of shopping mall transactions', 'the rate of contracts between bidding and shopping mall', 'the successful bidding ratio', and the estimated time for each process. The comparison was done for the difference of time consumption between 'before the innovation (As-was)' and 'after the innovation (As-is).' The results showed that there were productivity improvements in every eight sub processes. The decrease ratio of 'average number of task processing' was 92.7% and the decrease ratio of 'average time of task processing' was 95.4% in entire processes when we use G2B system comparing to the conventional method. Also, this study found that the process innovation effect will be enhanced if the task process related to the 'contract' can be improved. This study shows the usability and possibility of using MAS in process innovation evaluation and its modeling.
The G2B system is one of the important information systems in the e-government implementation. It is difficult to measure the cost reduction effect of the system introduction because there are many participants in the complex procurement processes. Previous approaches of the performance evaluation of such processes have been based on conducting some surveys and interviews with statistical methods. Therefore there have been some limitations in the verification of feasibility. Therefore this study tries to suggest a case of performance evaluation about the cost reduction in using of the G2B system by analyzing operational DB data from the G2B system. This study analyzed the procurement processes of G2B system according to 'goods' and 'facilities/services' and classified the procurement processes into 12 sub-processes. By developing an evaluation model for the cost reduction of e-procurement, we derived the whole cost reduction effect was 8,000 billon Won for the use of Korea KONEPS G2B system in 2008. Specially the cost reduction in the private sector was 6,600 billion Won. It was mainly due to the decrease of the offline visits to the related organizations to participate a bidding process. Moreover, the cost reduction of using shopping mall was 1,000 billion Won among the total 1,400 billion Won in the whole public sector. The main contribution of this paper is to show the more objective evaluation result of the use of e-procurement, which verifies the necessity of G2B system.
