조선작업장의 분진크기에 관한 조사 (A Study on the Size of Oust in Workplaces of a Shipyard)

  • 진폐증발생에 관계되는 분진의 크기별 분진농도를 측정하고자 용접공진폐증이 발생된 울산의 모 조선회사에서 용접만 하는 작업장 14개소, 용접 및 그라인더, 절단, 블라스팅, 금속가공 등 혼합 작업장 32개소, 용접을 하지 않는 작업장 25개소 총 71개소를 대상으로 분진크기별로 분진의 채집이 가능한 Anderson 공기시료채집기를 이용하여 분진크기별 분진농도와 분진비율을 조사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 각 작업장간의 분진크기별 분진농도는 대수정규 분포를 했으며 각 작업장의 분진의 기하평균치는 각각 $0.877mg/m^3,\;1.346mg/m^3,\;1.145mg/m^3$으로서 통계적으로 서로 차이가 없었으며 $0.43\sim4.7{\mu}m$ 분진농도가 각 작업장별로 각각 $0.395mg/m^3,\;0.491mg/m^3,\;0.364mg/m^3$으로 서로 차이가 없었다. 2. 분진크기별로 전체 분진농도에 대한 비율은 용접만 하는 작업장은 $1.1\sim0.65{\mu}m$ 크기의 분진이 제일 많았고 다음이 $0.43{\mu}m$이하, $11.0{\mu}m$이상, $0.65\sim0.43{\mu}m$ 크기순이었는데 반해 용접과 다른 작업을 동시에 하는 작업장과 용접을 하지 않는 작업장은 $11.0{\mu}m$이상의 분진의 비율이 제일 높고 다음이 $0.43{\mu}m$이하의 분진의 비율이 높았다. 그러나 $0.43\sim4.7{\mu}m$ 크기의 분진 비율은 용접만 하는 작업장은 48.5%, 용접과 다른 작업을 동시에 하는 작업장은 42.4%, 용접을 하지 않는 작업장은 35.6%로 통계적으로 서로 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 조선작업장의 경우 각 작업장에서 폭로되는 분진종류는 서로 다를 수 있으나 분진 크기별 분포와 농도는 작업종류에 관계없이 거의 비슷한 것으로 사료된다.

조선업 작업자의 자아상태, 안전 및 불안전행동, 산업재해 간의 구조관계 분석 (Analysis of Structural Relation between the Shipyard Workers' Ego-state, Safe and Unsafe Behaviors, and Industrial Accidents)

  • This study was carried out to obtain baseline data on the causes of industrial accidents and their prevention by investigating structural models between the Shipyard workers' egogram ego-states (CP: Critical Parent, NP: Nurturing Parent, A: Adult, FC: Free Child, AC: Adapted Child), safe and unsafe behaviors, and industrial accidents (frequency/severity). In order to achieve this goal, 378 workers from 3 locations of major corporations in Geojedo Island and Ulsan took a questionnaire, which was then analyzed with a structural equation model using the SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 24 statistics package, and the main results of the study are as follows. First, NP and A's ego-states had a positive influence on safe behavior, AC's ego-state had a negative influence on safe behavior, and A's ego-state had the largest influence on safe behavior. Second, CP and AC's ego-states had a positive influence on unsafe behavior, and A's ego-state had a negative influence on unsafe behavior. AC's ego-state had the largest influence on unsafe behavior. Third, safe behavior did not have a significant influence on industrial accidents. However, unsafe behavior had a positive influence on industrial accident frequency and industrial accident severity, both sub-factors of industrial accidents. This study, despite its limitations, such as sampling limitations, has the following significance. First, this study verified that ego-state, a psychological characteristic, is an important factor for predicting unsafe behavior that induces industrial accidents. Second, in order to reduce industrial accidents, there is a need to stimulate the A ego-states, and promote continuous safety management and safety education to neutralize the AC ego-state. Third, previous studies were limited in the area of practical methods for reducing unsafe behaviors, but this study presents practical methods for reducing unsafe behaviors by verifying the structural relationship between safe/unsafe behaviors and industrial accidents by selecting ego-gram ego-states, variable personality theory, as an independent variable.

디지털 매뉴팩쳐링 기법을 이용한 절단기기의 검증된 가상 NC 시뮬레이터 구축 (Construction of a Verified Virtual NC Simulator for the Cutting Machines at Shipyard Using the Digital Manufacturing Technology)

  • Digital manufacturing is a technology to simulate the real manufacturing process using the virtual model representing the physical schema and the behavior of the real manufacturing system including resources, processes and product information. Therefore, it can optimize the manufacturing system or prevent the bottleneck processes through the simulation before the manufacturing plan is executed. This study presents a method to apply the digital manufacturing technology for the steel cutting process in shipyard. The system modeling of cutting shop is carried out using the IDEF and UML which is a visual modeling language to document the artifacts of a complex system. Also, virtual NC simulators of the cutting machines are constructed to emulate the real operation of cutting machines and NC codes. The simulators are able to verify the cutting shape and estimate the precise cycle time of the planned NC codes. The validity of the virtual model is checked by comparing the real cutting time and shape with the simulated results. It is expected that the virtual NC simulators can be used for accurate estimation of the cutting time and shape in advance of real cutting work.

조선소 주변지역에서 휘발성유기화합물 및 알데히드류의 농도분포 특성 (Characteristics of Atmospheric Concentrations of Volatile Organic Compounds and Aldehydes for Near a Shipyard)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the characteristics of atmospheric concentrations of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) and aldehydes for near a large shipyard. Most of the painting work in marine coating is performed indoor and outdoor. Most of the VOCs are emitted to the atmosphere as the paint is applied and cures. The massive scale of a ship makes it difficult to capture the emissions from outdoor painting. The VOCs are an important health and contributors to photochemical smog. The VOCs and aldehydes samples were collected using adsorbent tube and 2,4-DNPH cartridge, and were determined by an automatic thermal desorption coupled with GC/MS and HPLC-UV analysis, respectively. A total of 16 aromatic VOCs and 12 aldehydes of environmental concern were determined. At indoor coating facilities, the most abundant compound among 16 target VOCs appeared to be m,p-xylene, being followed by o-xylene. But most of the aldehydes were extremely lower concentrations. The atmospheric concentration of VOCs, m,p-xylene concentrations were the highest and the mean value were outdoor workshop 11.323 ppb, residental area 5.134 ppb, and green area 2.137 ppb, respectively. However, the most aldehydes were extremely lower concentrations such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and non-detection such as iso-valeraldehyde, n-valeraldehyde and o-tolualdehyde.

조선업에서 산업재해로 인정된 근골격계질환의 특성 (Characteristics of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders Compensated by the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance in Shipbuilding Industry)

  • We analyzed the demographic and job features of 197 shipyard workers with work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) compensated by the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act, and the features of the disorders, the causes of operation and the induced behaviors. The three shipbuilding companies surveyed were located in Busan Metropolitan city and Gyungsangnam-do. The results were as follows. 1. The ages of WMSDs patients in shipyard were $43.6{\pm}8.6$ and the job tenure was $14.3{\pm}5.6$. The 40's of them was 40.1%, and the 30's was 29.4%. Patients less than 5 year-work duration were 85.3%, and ones more than 16 year-work duration 6.6%. In occupations, welders were 32.5%, pre-welders 17.3%, and setting engineers 6.6%. 2. The causes of WMSDs in shipyard were works(95.4%) and outer crash or accident shock (3.6%). Based on the standard of the NIOSH induced behaviors, the causes were awkward posture (62.9%), excessive movement(19.3%) and repetitive movement(13.7%). 3. The compensated WMSDs by body part was the highest, 36%, in the spines, 32.0% in both the upper limbs and the spines, and 14% in the upper limbs. The number of cases of WMSDs in body were 96 in the cervical, 79 in the lumbar and 72 in the shoulders. 4. As a result of chi-square test(${\chi}^2$) between diagnosis and operation in body, welding and spot welding had the most diagnoses in all parts of the body among other occupations. Chi-square test(${\chi}^2$) between diagnosis and induced behavior in body showed that awkward postures recorded the highest rate and repetitive movements was the second. 5. The most hazardous occupation was the welding(incidence rate=9.7) and the most hazardous behavior was the awkward posture.

  • Smart work는 정보통신기술을 이용하여 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 언제, 어디서든 근로자가 업무를 수행할 수 있는 유연한 근무형태를 의미한다. 스마트워크의 유형에는 모바일 오피스, 홈 오피스, 센터근무, 원격협업으로 분류할 수 있다. 태블릿PC나 스마트폰을 이용한 스마트워크 방식을 모바일 오피스라고 하며, 이동통신망과 휴대 단말기를 이용한 서비스를 제공하는 방식이다. 모바일 오피스는 무선환경과 스마트기기를 이용하여 움직이는 사무실을 구현하는 것으로 언제, 어디서나 사내 시스템에 접속하여 정보 검색은 물론 결재, 승인 등의 업무를 수행할 수 있다. 이러한 모바일 오피스 시스템을 조선소에 적용한다면, 실시간 처리로 근로자들의 생산성과 업무 효율성을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 조선업을 위한 HSE관리 모바일 어플리케이션 개발을 위해 기능을 추출하고 설계하는 것이 목적이다. 모바일용 HSE 관리 어플리케이션을 개발하기 위해 10개의 기능들을 추출하였고, ooCBD 방법론을 이용하여 설계하였다.

스마트 조선소를 위한 사물인터넷 기반 용접 작업장 센서네트워크 구축 (Implementation of a Sensor Network in a Welding Workplace Based on IoT for Smart Shipyards)

  • 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷을 이용하여 조선소의 작업장 단위로 센서네트워크를 구축하는 방안을 제시한다. 여기서는 조선소에서 가장 흔한 용접 작업장에서 조선블록을 통신매체로 활용하여 작업자의 위치, 용접 진행률, 작업 시간 등의 정보를 LoRa와 전력선통신을 이용하여 서버로 전송한다. 이와 같은 데이터통신을 위하여 유도성 커플러와 복합통신용 모뎀을 제작하여 와이어피더와 핀지그에 설치하여 센서네트워크를 구축하였다. 시험 결과, 제시된 시스템은 약 98% 이상의 데이터 전송 성공률과 작업자 위치 인식 성공률을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 현장에서 발생된 작업 데이터는 실시간 기록과 디스플레이가 가능함을 공정관리시스템 플랫폼을 통하여 확인하였다. 제시된 시스템은 미래형 스마트 조선소 구축을 통한 우리나라 조선산업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 단초가 될 것으로 사료된다.

부산지역 조선업 용접공들의 진폐증에 관한 역학적 조사연구 (The Epidemiologial Study on the Welders' Pneumoconiosis among Shipyard Welders in Pusan Area)

  • Authors studied on the prevalence of 94 cases of pneumoconiosis who were found out through the screening test on 1,062 workers engaged in welding process at 36 shipyard in Pusan area from March 1st, 1986 to November 30th, 1986. The result were as follows; 1. Dust concentration was measured $4.49{\pm}0.54mg/m^3$ in the small scale shipyard while it was $6.25{\pm}1.08mg/m^3$ in the large one. 2. The prevalence of welder's lung was 8.9% (male:8.5%, female:12.0%) and this is consist of 4.9% suspected pneumoconiosis and 4.0% pneumoconiosis more than category 1/0. 3. The prevalence was significantly increased according to the duration of dust exposure(p<0.05), and it showed the increasing tendency by the age group. 4. The prevalence was significantly higher in the large scale shipyard than is the small scale one(p<0.01). 5. The type and shape of opacities were 71.4% of p type and 28.6% of q type, however no pneumoconiosis with r type observed in this study. 6. The main subjective symptoms were the sputum(29.8%), coughing(25.5%), shortness of breath(20.2%), fatique(6.4%), and chest pain(5.3%). In other hand, 57.4% of pneumoconiosis were asymptomatic. 7. The prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis was radiologically 1.7% in all subjects including 5.3% in pneumoconiosis and 1.3% in no pneumoconiosis(p<0.01).
