하둡 및 스파크 기반 빅데이터 플랫폼을 이용한 선박 운항 효율 이상 상태 분석 (Detection of Abnormal Ship Operation using a Big Data Platform based on Hadoop and Spark)

  • To reduce emissions of marine pollutants, regulations are being tightened around the world. In the shipbuilding and shipping industries, various countermeasures are being put forward. As there are limits to applying countermeasures to ships already in operation, however, it is necessary for these vessels to use energy efficiently. The sensors installed on ships typically gather a very large amount of data, and thus a big data platform is needed to manage and analyze the data. In this paper, we build a big data analysis platform based on Hadoop and Spark, and we present a method to detect abnormal ship operation using the platform. We also utilize real ship operation data to discuss the data analysis experiment.

  • In general, the strength assessment for heavy lift vessel is carried out under two stages. The first stage is to comply with the requirement of KR (Korean Register of Shipping) Steel Barges and Rules for Classification of Steel Ships. At the second stage, the structural strength analysis by Finite Element Method is peformed. This paper describes the strength assessment considering various loads for the heavy lift vessel of sheerleg type.

신호접근법에 의한 유조선 해운시장 위기 예측 연구 (A Study on the Early Warning Model of Crude Oil Shipping Market Using Signal Approach)

  • 한국 경제에 근간이 되는 산업은 제조업이고, 그중 석유화학산업은 전량 원유를 수입하여 우리나라의 기술력으로 가공하여 재수출하는 전략적 성장 산업이다. 수많은 제조업의 원료가 되는 원유를 전량 해상운송을 통해 수입하는 우리나라는 변동성이 심한 유조선 운임 시장에 대해 기민하게 대응해야 한다. 유조선 운임 시장의 위기는 관련 해운회사의 위기에서 끝나지 않고 원유를 사용하는 산업에서부터 국민의 생활까지 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로, 본 연구에서 신호접근법을 활용한 조기경보모형을 제시했다. BDTI 운임지수를 활용하여 유조선 해운시장 위기를 정의하고, 38개의 거시경제, 금융, 원자재 지표 그리고 해운시장 데이터를 활용해 시차상관관계를 분석하여 유조선 해운시장 위기에 선행적으로 반응하는 종합선행지수를 도출했다. 연구 결과, 종합선행지수는 두 달 전 가장 높은 0.499의 시차상관계수 값을 가졌으며, 5개월 전부터 유의미한 상관계수 값을 나타냈다. QPS 값은 0.13으로 위기 예측에 대해 높은 정확성을 지니는 것으로 검증됐다. 더불어 기존의 다른 시계열 예측모형 연구들과 달리 본 연구는 경제 위기와 유조선 해운시장의 위기 간의 시차를 계량적으로 접근하여, 관련 해운산업 종사자들과 정책 입안자들에게 위기에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있는 전략의 기틀을 제공함에 의의가 있다.

  • Since 1996, the document exchange method by EDI has been introduced in port and logistics industries in Korea to enhance the declaration activities to the Pusan Port Authority and Customs. In spite of these efforts, users such as shipping companies, shipping agents, and freight forwarders have complained the inconvenience of using EDI systems. The major reasons can be summarized as follows: repetitional EDI transfer, too much transfer time, inconvenient EDI software, and problems on message receiving confirmation. Furthermore, EDI has been used only for transmitting messages. To solve these problems, this study has adopted the integration system by applying the concept of SCM to logistics system by XML/EDl. In the view of SCM, the existing EDI has some problems because its role is only to transmit the messages. This paper is to suggest how current EDI systems in Port and logistics sector has to be chanced by Introducing SCM. The integration system gives us such advantages as accuracy of cargo data, integration of processes among firms, and keeping the trace of cargo.

  • Earlier studies indicated clearly that information obtained from conventional statistics cannot provide guidance on detailed casualty analysis. Much more is needed if casualty statistics are to play a proficient and vigorous role in encouraging safety. Specific difficulties originate from making the causal relationships clear. Fault tree analysis and symbolic modeling of functional block diagram are an efficient aid in safety analysis so that these methods are generally used in other industries. This paper describes the application of these tools in shipping casualties and how to evaluate the relationships between different causes of ship casualties. Thesee methods are proved to be an efficient and useful tools to indicate the relationships between individual physical factors. In addition these models permit easy understanding and recognition of the factors leading to individual casualty

  • The purpose of this study is to figure out the impacts of technological innovation and cost management on productivity in small shipping industries to come up with developmental implications. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 150 workers in small shipbuilding industries through April 2 to April 20, 2012. As for findings stated above, technological innovation and cost management in the Korean small shipbuilding industries were key factors that elevate financial and non-financial productivity. In the light of low technological prowess and cost structure of small shipbuilding industries, their productivity can be improved when intensive cost management with production factor technology as know-how is realized through quality management, which product development technology is the top priority as an independent niche strategy. Consequently, the combination of infrastructures in small shipbuilding industries with continuous efforts for cost reduction by the link to the systematized structure can't only secure their independent competitiveness, but raise their productivity.

  • 90년대초 품질경영 시스템을 시작으로 98년 안전경영 시스템, 그리고 2002년 ISPS Code 발효에 따른 보안시스템까지 해운항만업체는 필요에 따라 또는 외부적 요인에 의해 최근 10여년에 걸쳐 경영시스템에 몰입하게 되었다. 이러한 경영모델, 협약, 코드는 일부 또는 전부의 도입 및 시행으로 해운항만관련회사에 경영시스템으로 자리 잡아 상호 유기적인 연관성을 갖고 직 간접적으로 밀접한 상호작용을 하고 있다. 이들 각각의 시스템에서 공통적으로 사용되는 요건들 중 개선여지가 필요하다고 판단되는 사항에 대해 설문조사를 하고 그 결과를 분석하여 시스템 도입에 따른 요건들의 문제점을 파악하여, 가장 효과적인 시스템 개선방안을 제시하는데 본 연구목적을 두고 있다.

일본과 중국의 유통선박산업의 경쟁력비교분석 (A Comparative Analysis of the Competitiveness of the Distribution Ship Industries of Japan and China)

  • Purpose - This study aims to strengthen the economic cooperation between Korea and Japan by studying the pattern of trade between them and identifying drawbacks. Thus, it aims to enable trade expansion by analyzing the factors that affect trade and identifying ways to improve them. If economic cooperation is improved, transport and communication costs, as well as the transaction cost of economic exchanges, can be minimized. Research design, data, methodology - The trade intensity index developed by the Japanese economist Yamazawa under his trade intensity theory was used to analyze the trade decision factor of Korea and Japan. Trade structure and decision factors were analyzed for the target period of 2000 to 2012, and the period ranging from 2000 to 2005 was compared with the period ranging from 2005 to 2012. This paper is an analysis of the resultant time series. The data were collected from Korea Traders Association, Korea Customs Office, and UN Comtrade (2000, 2005, 2012) and whole table indexes were calculated by the author. Trade related index was used to analyze the comparative advantage based on time-series analysis statistics data (2000. 2005, 2012) through an analysis of the trade intensity index (TII), revealed comparative advantage index (RCA), and trade specialization index (TSI). Results - The trade intensity index of the industries of Japan and Korea is 1.814 in 2000. The export ratio of Japan against China was slightly higher at 2.128. TII is indicated to be 1.600 in both 2005 and 2012, which means export ratio of Japan against China is considerably maintained in 2005; however, export ratio of Japan against China is diminishing gradually as its index is 1.600 in 2012. Second, as per the trade specialization index of the ship industry in Japan and China, TSI is indicated to be -0.818 in 2000, -0.308 in 2005, and -0.847 in 2012. Generally, it is still closer to -1 and especially, we can see it is more closer to -1 in 2012. Third, as per the revealed comparative advantage index of the ship industry in Japan and China, the RCA index in 2012 is 0.007, which is quite far from 1 as compared to the value in 2000 and 2005. Hence, the Japanese ship industry has a significant comparative disadvantage against the Chinese ship industry. Conclusions - Both countries invest most of their capital in the shipping industry. It is the shipping industry that receives the most capital investment in the two countries is invested and governmental policy funds are needed. As both countries have large shipping industries, this research project is very valuable. Japan and China are compared because they are Korea's neighbors. Also, Korea is strategically located in Northeast Asia and has a history of foreign intrusion from several countries. Therefore, the purpose of this research study is to understand the trade structures of both countries and intensify the economic cooperation between Japan and China.

공간시장화에 따른 항만물류산업의 비즈니스 분류에 관한 연구 - 선박급유업을 중심으로 - (The Study on Taxonomy of Port Logistics Business Caused by Cyber Space Marketization - The case of ship bunkering -)

  • E-business로 대표되는 비즈니스의 공간시장(Marketspace)화는 대부분의 산업에 파급되어 새로운 비즈니스 패러다임으로 정착되어 가고 있으나, 해운 및 항만물류와 관련한 산업에는 그 파급속도가 매우 느린 실정이다. 이에 따라 항만물류산업의 e-business화를 위해, 여러 가지 정책과 연구가 적극적으로 추진되어 왔다. 그러나, 대부분의 연구는 해당 산업구조의 통찰없이 매우 일반적인 활성화 정책과 해당사례에만 의존하는 개별적 차원의 방안을 제시하는 정도에 머물러 있다. 게다가, 이러한 새로운 business와 관련한 이론적 근거에 바탕을 둔 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 따라서, 항만물류산업의 e-business화와 관련한 연구는 당장의 활성화방안의 수립에 앞서 오히려, 기반 연구에 해당되는 기초작업이 요구되는 실정이다. 즉, 항만물류산업의 e-business와 관련한 연구는 공간시장화의 파급에 따른 산업계의 구조변화에 대한 면밀한 해석이 선행되어야 하고, 그러한 토대위에 해당 사업의 e-business를 고려하는 수순으로 진행될 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 여기에 주목하여 공간시장화에 따른 항만물류산업 관련 산업구조의 변화에 주목하여, 이론적 근거를 가지고 해당산업계에서 존재할 수 있는 모든 비즈니스 유형들을 체계적으로 분류하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분류를 위한 이론으로써 본 연구에서는 비즈니스의 계층성과 업계의 가치사슬에 주목한 BL-VC모델을 대표적 항만물류산업중 하나인 선박 급유업에 적용하여, 선박급유업과 관련한 일반화된 분류체계를 수립하고자 한다.

해상탑재 DAM공법에 따른 선체외판 선저부위의 도막박리 및 밀림방지 대책 (Rubber Packing Damage Test Report for Procedure of Forebody Erection in the Sea)

  • The size of ship is being larger than the past in the shipping industry thanks to the increased quantity of goods transported by ship. Therefore, HHIC (Hanjin Heavy industries & Construction co., LTD) invented innovative construction method, so called 'DAM', to build a ship which is longer than the length of the HHIC's dry dock. On Erection at the sea by the application of DAM Method, Squeezing & Detachment of A/F film may occur as a result of the wave and the constriction between A/F film pre-applied on the side shell and DAM's Rubber Packing. Thus, the test for finding the minimum curing time of A/F film was performed to protect Squeezing & Detachment of A/F film on the hull. To verify the soundness of paint and to find the optimum condition during the erection period of the DAM, laboratory test was carried out under no immersion condition through the application of various coatings on the Rubber Packing. And two methods were selected from the results of laboratory test for actual MOCK-UP Test. In addition, the test for the film profile per temperature of silicone A/F coat and the film Squeezing was performed.
