  • This study is to help international traders in conducting tax and accounting works as to revenue recognition when a shipment incurs in accordance with Incoterms 2010. It is true that some are well familiar with Incoterms but have lack of accounting and tax application. In respect of tax operation, there are several regulations, such as Income Tax Law, VAT Law, which are applied differently according to sales points. Sales points and revenue recognition are a bit different when sales are made internationally. And this study compares those revenue recognitions by comparison of related Korean laws and Incoterms 2010.

  • In this paper, types of ready mixed concrete in construction site supported by different company has been researched. The practicability of the commercial available ready mixed concrete has been tested, and the standard deviation has been modified from Vc=Vo+3б to Vc=Vo+1.73б. Unnecessary premium rate has been cut and economical efficiency of the ready mixed concrete has been improved.

  • In accordance with the Act on Punishment of Serious Disasters, terminal operators are required to establish and operate a safety and health management system such as manpower and budget necessary for disaster prevention, and establish and implement measures to prevent recurrence in the event of a disaster. This is a study on how to use the port facility safety management system linkage to prevent safety accidents in port facilities due to the introduction of autonomous driving port equipment and to support decision-making promptly in case of safety accidents.

  • In the case of domestic coastal ships, an information system for the purpose of managing cargo loading, securing, and inspection processes is not in operation. It presents functional elements that meet the service requirements for information systems for more efficient execution of ship loading and unloading services at port. This is a study on the information system that manages the process of reservation, onboard arrangement, securing and inspection of sea freight.

  • Domestic car ferries do not operate a dedicated information system for cargo loading and management, It is impossible to arrange according to the cargo type and quantity at the time of cargo reservation due to restrictions such as the need to comply with the cargo layout drawings in advance approved by the Korean Register. For this reason, this is a study to utilize similar information systems in operation in container ships and terminals for the purpose of improving cargo shipment management tasks for car ferries.

A Study on the Effects of Meterological Factors on the Distribution of Agricultural Products: Focused on the Distribution of Chinese Cabbages (기상요인이 농산물 유통에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 배추 유통 사례를 중심으로)

  • Agriculture is a primary industry that influenced by the weather or meterological factors more than other industry. Global warming and worldwide climate changes, and unusual weather phenomena are fatal in agricultural industry and human life. Therefore, many previous studies have been made to find the relationship between weather and the productivity of agriculture. Meterological factors also influence on the distribution of agricultural product. For example, price of agricultural product is determined in the market, and also influenced by the weather of the market. However, there is only a few study was made to find this link. The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of meterological factors on the distribution of agricultural products, focusing on the distribution of chinese cabbages. Chinese cabbage is a main ingredient of Kimchi, and basic essential vegetable in Korean dinner table. However, the production of chinese cabbages is influenced by weather and very fluctuating so that the variation of its price is so unstable. Therefore, both consumers and farmers do not feel comfortable at the unstable price of chinese cabbages. In this study, we analyze the real transaction data of chinese cabbage in wholesale markets and meterological factors depending on the variety and geography. We collect and analyze data of meterological factors such as temperatures, humidity, cloudiness, rainfall, snowfall, wind speed, insolation, sunshine duration in producing and consuming region of chinese cabbages. The result of this study shows that the meterological factors such as temperature and humidity significantly influence on the volume and price of chinese cabbage transaction in wholesale market. Especially, the weather of consuming region has greater correlation effects on transaction than that of producing region in all types of chinese cabbages. Among the whole agricultural lifecycle of chinese cabbages, 'seeding - harvest - shipment - wholesale', meterological factors such as temperature and rainfall in shipment and wholesale period are significantly correlated with transaction volume and price of crops. Based on the result of correlation analysis, we make a regression analysis to verify the meterological factors' effects on the volume and price of chines cabbage transaction in wholesale market.     . The type of chinese cabbages are categorized by 5 types, i.e. alpine, gimjang for winter, spring, summer, and winter crop, and all of the regression models are shown significant relationship. In addition, meterological factors in shipment and wholesale period are entered more in regression model than those in seeding and harvest period. This result implies that weather in consuming region is also important in the distribution of chinese cabbages. Based on the result of this study, we find several implications and recommendations for policy makers of agricultural product distribution. The goal of agricultural product distribution policy is to insure proper price and production cost for farmers and provide proper price and quality, and stable supply for consumers. Therefore, coping with the uncertainty of weather is very essential to make a fruitful effect of the policy. In reality, very big part of consumer price of chinese cabbage is made up of the margin of intermediaries, because they take the risk. In addition, policy makers make efforts for farmers to utilize AWIS (Agricultural Weather Information System). In order to do that, it should integrate the relevant information including distribution and marketing as well as production. Offering a consulting service to farmers about weather management is also expected to be a good option in agriculture and weather industry. Reflecting on the result of this study, the distribution authorities can offer the guideline for the timing and volume of harvest, and it is expected to contribute to the stable equilibrium of supply and demand of agricultural products.

  • An Analysis of Efficiency in Container Shipment Cargo Volumes after Integrated Operation of Depots : Focusing on C Company (Depot 통합에 따른 출고 컨테이너 효율성 분석 : C사 모델을 중심으로)

    • As the growth of warehouse stores has been accelerated, the importance of logistics for warehouse stores has been also increasing. In this respect, this study analyzed the transportation efficiency after the integrated operation of depots by C Company using GIS. According to the results of analysis of changes in container shipment cargo volumes, in terms of delivery distances, a total of 1,028,699 km of delivery car driving was shown to be necessary when one depot was operated, while a total of 2,866,604km of car driving was shown to be necessary so that 1,028,699km of car driving was reduced per year. In terms of delivery time too, 62 hours of time was saved per day and a total of 36% reduction in time could be expected. This study presented the effects of depot integration and delivery changes to improve operation processes and reduce delivery time and distances using GIS OD Matrix. The results of this study can be used as an important indicator for judgment that can affect the delivery process of other warehouse discount stores.

    • The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic feasibility of technology developed by the National Institute of Animal Science used to shorten the raising term of Hanwoo cattle. This technology can address the increasing proportion of feed cost to operating expenses in the industry. The technology maintains quality by high nutrition breeding during the growing period while shortening the fattening period compared to conventional methods for castrated cattle. Our analysis employs the partial budget method, and results are as follows. First, we found that the ratio of shipment in age of less than 29 months has been increasing. Second, the statistical test finds that both the reduction in age of the months for shipment and the increase in dressed weight annually are significant. Third, the benefit of introducing the technology with the self-manufactured TMR accounts for 467,990 won per head/time. This result is strong evidence for prioritizing and extending pilot projects. In order to further expand this technology in the future, problems, limitations, and obstacles to introduction should be additionally disclosed for participating and non-participating farms after conducting the pilot project.

    • The ship selection by consignors has two steps to carry their cargo. The first step is to select according to time schedule of ships and amount of cargo, and the second one is re-selection by concentrating different consignors' cargo into a unit that can be carried by single ship. Up to now, these steps are usually done by hands leading to inefficiency. The purpose of our paper is to form a logistics chain to minimize the overall sum of logistics cost by selecting ships for consignors' cargo using negotiation methodology between agents. Through concentration and distribution of cargo, maximization of global profit derived from searching optimal point in trade-off between inventory cost and freight rate cost. It is settled by the negotiation between consignors. In the experiments, two methods of the first-step of ship selection: EPDS(Earliest Possible Departure-Date Scheduling) and LPDS(Latest Possible Departure-Date Scheduling) coupled with the second-step ship concentration method using the negotiation were shown. From this, we deduced inventory cost, freight rates and logistics cost according SBF(Scheduling Bundle Factor) and analyzed the result. We found it will minimize the total logistics cost if we use negotiation method with EPDS.

    • The main industries in Chungcheongbuk-do are the smart IT parts; bio-health; and transportation machinery, materials and parts. The transportation, machinery, materials and parts (TMMP) industry is a key source technology for environmentally friendly and intelligent vehicles related to future vehicles in the machinery sector. Business support projects to improve this industry are currently underway. In this study, the number of enterprises, number of employees, amount of shipment, and added value of the enterprises in Chungbuk area were analyzed for the downstream and rear industries of the transportation, machinery, materials, and parts industry to set targets and directions for the technical support projects during the enterprise support. In particular, for the SMEs with less than 50 employees, the changes in the value added per enterprise were analyzed according to the period from the year of foundation. In the case of the rear industry, the value added by companies within three years after foundation has decreased gradually each year, so technical support is needed at the beginning of the startup. Companies between the ages of five and nine years are showing a fluctuating trend each year. Therefore, it is necessary to support business diversification or find new items.
