수치해석에 의한 심수 탱크구조물의 진동에 관한 연구 (Numerical Analysis of Vibration Characteristics in Deep Water Tank)

  • A liquid storage rectangular tank structures are used in many fields of civil, mechanical and marine engineering. Especially, Ship structures have many tanks in contact with inner or outer fluid, like ballast, fuel and cargo tanks. Fatigue damages are sometimes observed in these tanks which seem to be caused by resonance with exciting force of engine and propeller. Vibration characteristics of these thin walled tanks ill contact with fluid near engine or propeller are strongly affected by added mass of containing fluid. Therefore it is essentially important to estimate the added mass effect to predict vibration of the tank structures. In the previous report, we have developed numerical tool of vibration analysis of 3-dimensional tank structure using finite elements for plates and boundary elements for fluid region. In the present report, using the numerical analysis, vibrations characteristics in deep water tank are investigated and discussed.

  • An investigation into the modal interaction of an autoparametric system under broad-band random excitation is made. The specific system examined is a spring-pendulum system with internal resonance, which is known to be a good model for a variety of engineering systems, including ship motions with nonlinear coupling between pitching and rolling motions. By means of the Gaussian closure method the dynamic moment equations explaining the random response of the system are reduced to a system of autonomous ordinanary differential equations of the first and second moments. In view of equilibrium solutions of this system and their stability we examine the system responses. The stabilizing effect of system damping is also examined.

  • 본 연구에서는 연안의 해저면에 누적된 퇴적오염물을 효율적으로 수거할 수 있는 저속 쌍동형 정화선에 대한 선수선형의 개념설계에 대해 수행하였다. 선형설계는 선체건조가 용이하도록 단순화하였으며, 쌍동선 선형의 선수 Water line, 선수각 등의 변화에 따른 저항성능의 영향을 검토하였다. Ansys CFX를 이용한 수치시뮬레이션과 회류수조에서의 모형시험결과와의 비교/분석 등을 통하여 선수부 선형변화에 따른 저항성능과 자유표면 유동특성 사이의 관계를 고찰하였으며, 그 결과 선수재 위치와 어깨부 체적의 선수부 이동에 따른 파형개선으로 조파저항이 감소하는 등 저항성능의 향상을 확인하였다.

  • Ships and ocean structures are generally under random loading. Various type of variable-amplitude loading affects fatigue crack growth and fatigue life. However interaction effects due to irregularity of loading including random loading have not explained exactly and it is difficult to examined fatigue crack growth behaviour and fatigue life for this reason. Therefore in this paper crack growth tests with constant-amplitude loading including a single overload were conducted to measure plastic zone size near crack tip of DENT specimen. And the observed plastic zone sized were discussed in terms of crack growth rate. As a result of this the effect the plastic rue size due to the overload is examined on the effect on crack growth rate and, consequently, fatigue life.

Therefore it is essentially important to estimate the added mass effect to predict vibration of the tanks. Many authors have studied vibration of rectangular tanks containing fluid. Few research on dynamic interaction among tank walls filled with fluid are reported in the vibration of rectangular tanks recently. In case of rectangular tanks, structural coupling between adjacent panels and effect of vibration modes of multiple panels on added mass of water have to be considered. In the previous report, a numerical analysis is performed for the coupling effect between panels of a tank on added mass of containing fluid, the effect of structural constraint between panels on each vibration mode for fluid region, and mode characteristics in accordance with changing breadth of the plates by using finite element method for plates and boundary element method for fluid region. In this paper, the coupling effect between panels of a tank on added mass of containing fluid, the effect of structural constraint between panels on each vibration mode for fluid region, and mode characteristics in accordance with changing length, thickness, and boundary condition of the plates are investigated numerically and discussed.

  • The high-skewed and/or composite propellers of current interests to reduce the ship vibration and to increase the acoustic performance are likely to be exposed to the unexpected structural problems. One typical example is that the added mass effect on the propellers working in the non-uniform wake field reduces the natural frequency of the propeller leading to the resonance with the low-frequency excitation of the external forces. To avoid this resonance problem during the design stage, the technique of fluid-structure interaction has been developed, but the higher-order effect of the blade geometry deformation is not yet considered in evaluating the added mass effects. In this paper the fluid boundary-value problem is formulated by the potential-based panel method in the inviscid fluid region with the velocity inflow due to the body deformation, and the structural response of the solid body under the hydrodynamic loading is solved by applying the finite element method which implements the 20-node iso-parametric element model. The fluid-structure problem is solved iteratively. A basic fluid-sturcture interaction study is performed with the simple rectangular plates of thin thickness with various planform submerged in the water of infinite extent. The computations show good correlation with the experimental results of Linholm, et al. (1965).

횡하중을 고려한 선체보강판넬의 압축 붕괴거동에 관한 연구 (Axial Collapse Behaviour of Ship's Stiffened Panels considering Lateral Pressure Load)

  • 선체의 갑판부와 선저부 그리고 해양구조물의 기본적인 구조는 보강판이다. 보강판넬은 한쪽방향으로 위치한 보강재 혹은 종/횡 방향으로 복잡하게 위치한 구조를 이루고 있으며, 후자의 모델을 그릴리지 구조라고 부른다 선체구조설계 단계에서 선박의 종강도 평가는 가장 중요한 항목이다. 일반적으로, 극심한 해상상태에 놓인 선박의 선저부에는 호깅조건에 의해 발생되는 횡모멘트에 기인하여 압축하중이 작용하게 되며, 이와 동시에 수압하중 작용으로 인한 국부휭모멘트가 작용된다. 본 논문에서는, 구조해석 결과의 검증을 위해서 여러 가지 해석프로그램 및 현재 사용되고 있는 선급룰과의 비교를 하여 횡하중의 영향에 따른 압축최종강도에 대해 분석하고, 여러 가지 설계변수를 변화하여, 각각의 영향을 검토하고, 최종적으로 조합하중 조건에서의 횡하중의 영향에 대해서 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과들은 최종한계상태설계법에 기반을 두고, 조합하중이 작용하는 선체보강판의 구조강도 거동에 대해서 하중성분에 대한 관계를 고찰하였다.

쌍동형 초고속선의 최적 구조 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Structural Design of High Speed Ships with Twin Hulls)

  • 본 연구에서는 쌍동형 표면효과선 선체 구조의 최소 중량 설계를 수행하는 방법을 제시하고, 이에 따르는 전산 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다. 본 방법은 DnV의 설계 하중 및 강도 기준을 이용하며, 격자 구조 해석을 통해 종거어더와 횡늑골의 상호 영향을 반영하여 설계에 활용하고, 쌍동 선체 사이의 연결 구조에 대해 비틂 강도 해석을 수행하여 횡격벽 설계를 수행한다. 또한 부분구조의 최적화를 통해 중앙 단면 전체의 최적화에 도달하는 방법을 적용함으로써 최적화의 효율을 증가시키고 있다. 본 방법을 적용한 결과, 초기 설계 결과에 비해 20% 정도의 선체 중량 감소효과를 확인할 수 있고, 최적의 횡늑골 간격도 계산될 수 있다.

성인 여성의 신체만족도 및 스트레스에 따른 미니스타일 선호에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Preference of Mini-Style according to Body Cathexis and the Stress Recognition level for a Group of Adult Women)

  • As a society is becoming more and more complicated people living in modern times are experiencing more stresses for various reasons. Some past research results proved the role of clothing in reducing the stresses. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the preference of the mini-style which is recently most fashionable styles is related to the psychological factors such as stress and body satisfaction. Measure Instrument were Nolmes and Masuda(1973)'s SRRS(Social Readjustment Rating Scal) Secord and Jourard(1953)' Body Cathexis Scale and mini-style preference scale by author Survey questionnaires were distributed to two hundred seventy adult women living in Seoul area during may 25 1992. through June 8. 1992. The age range of the subjects was from 30 to 49 The final number of subjects in-cluded in the statistical analysis was 244. The result and conclusions are as follows: 1. Significant difference was existed in mini-style preference between high and low body satisfaction groups. Mini-style was pre-ferred by high body satisfaction group than low body satisfaction group. 2, Significant difference was existed in mini-style preference between high and low stress groups. Mini-style was preferred by low stress group than high stress group. 3. Regarding demographic characteristics unmarried 2 year college graduates with low family income in their early 30's pref. mini-style. 4. There was a marginal interaction effect of demographic characteristics on the relation-ship between mini-style preference and body satisfaction. The higher preference and body satisfaction. The higher preference for mini-style was found for the higher body satis-faction group mostly with the age range of 35 to 39 married 4 year college graduates as drop-puts and mid less income group. 5. There was a marginal interaction effect of demographic variables on the relatonship be-tween mini style preference and stress level The higher preference for mini-style was re-lated to the low stress level group mostly with age group of 35 to 44 high school graduates or lower and highest income group regardless of their marital status. In sum mini-style seems to be preferred by women who feel relatively less stress and are more satisfied with their bodies thus psycho-logically stable.

Impact onto an Ice Floe

  • The unsteady problem of a rigid body impact onto a floating plate is studied. Both the plate and the water are at rest before impact. The plate motion is caused by the impact force transmitted to the plate through an elastic layer with viscous damping on the top of the plate. The hydrodynamic force is calculated by using the second-order model of plate impact by Iafrati and Korobkin (2011). The present study is concerned with the deceleration experienced by a rigid body during its collision with a floating object. The problem is studied also by a fully-nonlinear computational-fluid-dynamics method. The elastic layer is treated with a moving body-fitted grid, the impacting body with an immersed boundary method, and a discrete-element method is used for the contact-force model. The presence of the elastic layer between the impacting bod- ies may lead to multiple bouncing of them, if the bodies are relatively light, before their interaction is settled and they continue to penetrate together into the water. The present study is motivated by ship slamming in icy waters, and by the effect of ice conditions on conventional free-fall lifeboats.
