A Study for the relation between design parameters in conceptual stage and freight cost in operation of ocean-going bulk carrier was presented by economic criterial. Ship design procedure was followed to traditional method and programmed. The measure of merit is the Required Freight Rate(RFR). Parametric method used insteady of optimization technique due to easy to illustrate the results. Calculation results to the relation ship dimension, speed and operating cost in this paper show the influence of oil price is very important. Particularly, when oil price estimated as go up, owner choose a ship which lengh is long , breadth/draft is near 2.0 and speed is low. This program is useful for shipyard, consultant officer and owner all together.
The aim of this study is to scientifical conservation for the Sin An Ship. The test object is Pinus massoniana and Cunninghamia lanceolata of Sin An Ship's timber .Comtrast object is water soaked fresh wood of Pinus densiflora and Cryptomeria japonica The results were as follows.1. M. C is 280.9% in high degraded Planking board,237.5% in low degraded Planking board,158.6% in fresh wood of Pinus densiflora,222.6% in Bulkhead167.3% in fresh wood of Cryptomeria japonica2. Absorption rate of P.E.G is good at heating condition ($55∼60^{\circ}C$), especially in highdegraded wood.3. The dimensional change of wood during air drying is somewhat shrinked That's 7.22% in low degraded Planking board9.8% in high degraded Planking board and 4.11% in water soaked Pinus densiflora.4. The dimensional change of wood during P.E.G treatment is mostly swollen of wery small quantity.5. Salinity in desalinization tank showed below 50 p.p.m. It's indicate the end of desalinization treatment.6. Filtration with filter paper was possible up to 40% concentration only. Superyachts are passenger vessels whose hull exceeds 24m. They are a kind of luxurious leisure ships. Interior designers can contribute in the field of space design of superyachts. This study is intended to investigate the space elements and their organization of superyachts for putting the base of superyachts interior design. Especially it is focused on the interior space division by structural elements such as the watertight bulkheads and decks. In this study we analyze general arrangements, floor plans of decks, of 31 superyachts and extract space elements and their disposition in three dimension. On the basis of the space arrangement we classify the types of space organization of superyachts. And then we inquire the interior space division of superyachts, which is characterized by the structural elements of the ship. The watertight compartments made by the bulkheads and decks have a great effect on interior space design in super yachts. The results of this study are summed up as follows: At first, the small-size superyacht has 3 decks and the midium or large-size superyachts has 4decks. Secondly, depending on the number of decks the superyachts has several typical patterns of space organization. Thirdly, in general there are 5-6 watertight compartments on a deck depending on the superyachts scale. Finally, there are distinct separation between the passenger's movement and the crew's movement on the ship.
At recently, Oil spill accident of large size oiler that happen domestic and outside the country is occured to social impact us as well as economical damage in sea environment. Also, because spread extent of pollution accident is reaching harbor, bay and close water areas, as necessity that traffic control ships are sea place. VTS is changing to concept that control space is magnified gradually. Our country is operated to 14 harbors which is control center. But abroad is operating coastal VTS that do main waterway and coastals to authority dimension. Therefore, necessity that traffic density of ship manages high coastals and ship traffic of waterway to our country is risen. This paper is execute sea traffic survey at Mokop sea areas and sea casualty occurs. It proposal that coastal VTS center field of most suitable and position of radar site.

Plate that have cutout inner bottom and girder and floor etc. in hull construction absence is used much, and this is strength in case must be situated, but establish in region that high stress interacts sometimes fatally in region that there is no big problem usually by purpose of weight reduction, a person and change of freight, piping etc.. Because cutout's existence gnaws in this place, and, elastic buckling strength by load causes large effect in ultimate strength. Therefore, perforated plate elastic buckling strength and ultimate strength is one of important design criteria which must examine when decide structural elements size at early structure design step of ship. Therefore, and, reasonable elastic buckling strength about perforated plate need design ultimate strength. Calculated ultimate strength change several aspect ratioes and cutout's dimension, and thickness in this investigation. Used program applied ANSYS F.E.M code based on finite element method.
Auto-Pilot System uses heading angle information via the position sensor and the rudder device to control the ship's direction. Most of the control logics are composed of the state estimation and control algorithms assuming that the measurement device and the actuator have no fault except the measurement noise. But such asumptions could bring the danger in real situation. For example, if the heading angle measuring device is out of order the control action based on those false position information could bring serious safety problem. In this study, the control system including improved method for processing the position information is applied to the Auto-Pilot System. To show the difference between general state estimator and F.D.F., BJDFs for the sensor and the actuator failure detection are designed and the performance are tested. And it is shown that bias error in sensor could be detected by state-augmented estimator. So the residual confined in the 2-dimension in the presence of the sensor failure could be unidirectional in output space and bias sensor error is much easier to be detected.

High-speed electronic digital computers have enabled engineers to employ various numerical discretization techniques for solutions of complex problems. The Finite Element Method is one of the such technique. The Finite Element Method is one of the numerical analysis based on the concepts of fundamental mathematical approximation. Three dimensional plate structures used often in partition of ship, box girder and frame are analyzed by Finite Element Method. In design of structures, the static deflections, stress concentrations and dynamic deflections must be considered. However, these problem belong to geometrically nonlinear mechanical structure analysis. The analysis of each element is independent, but coupling occurs in assembly process of elements. So, to overcome such a difficulty the shell theory which includes transformation matrix and a fictitious rotational stiffness is taken into account. Also, the Mindlin's theory which is considered the effect of shear deformation is used. The Mindlin's theory is based on assumption that the normal to the midsurface before deformation is "not necessarily normal to the midsurface after deformation", and is more powerful than Kirchoff's theory in thick plate analysis. To ensure that a small number of element can represent a relatively complex form of the type which is liable to occur in real, rather than in academic problem, eight-node quadratic isoparametric elements are used. are used.

By the development of international trade in last decades, Korean International Trade has been grown rapidly and Korean Port and Port facilities have been improved stimultaneously: finally volume of the marine traffic increased rapidly. Presently, 15 VTS centers have serving in Korean waters and since the introduction of the first VIS Center in Korea there is no quantitative analysis to find workload of VIS operator. After that Port-MIS and De-brief data have been gathered for 7 days and inbound-outbound vessels time-g/t table prepared and traffic volume examined for each V1S center. Hence $L^2$ conversion traffic volume and dangerous vessel ratio obtained Later on conversion controlled number obtained by denoting ratio 1.0 to directly controlled vessels by VTSO and denoting ratio 0.3 to indirectly controlled vessels by VTSO. Traffic volume, large vessel ratio, dangerous vessel ratio, dimension of VTS controlled area, marine accident occurrence frequency and communication volume of comm. log can be counted as a factor which influence to workload of VTSO. All those factors have been examined and analyzed. Finally, ship's size and dangerous vessel ratio have been chosen to derive the Number of composite conversion control for workload formula.
