  • Since the pre-existing music itself used in has no direct relation to the film, it raises the question of whether it was properly utilized as film music. The purpose of this paper is to clarify that 's 20th century modern music effectively fulfills the role of film music through iconicity with images. This study approached the similarity between the character of fear and the form of music through Hanslick's formal aesthetics to discuss the use of 20th century modern music in the horror film. The formal characteristics of music are observed in the movement of notes, which are similar to the fearful state of mind mentioned by Heidegger. In the analysis, the stagnant movement and the continuity of notes, the special playing method of the musical instrument, the unspecified trembling of the clustered notes, the melody of the weak intensity in the high-pitched range, the smash of percussions, and the progression of the notes that deviate from the center confirms the aptitude of 20th century modern music in the horror film. The fact that this study did not simply rely on the emotions represented in the 20th century modern music, but thoroughly caught the movements of the notes, has great significance in the research of film .

  • In this paper, we have proposed Station Safety Management System to protect station accident. we establish a sensor part near an underground rail. If a passenger approaches an underground rail, at first, lamp is shining and warning sound is ringing. nevertheless he approaches end of underground rail, At the same time, lamp is shining, warning sound is ringing, this information transfer server and train using wireless LAN. We makes this system using low cost in comparison with another system.

  • Although design, color, and material are important elements in stage costumes, stage lightning also plays significant role in the presentation of stage costumes. Costumes color, material and perception can be significantly influenced by visual effects. Stage illumination can be arranged or managed so that colors are closely related to or enhanced or change the effects of costume colors on the runway or display at specific times. The results of this thesis are as follow; 1) Fabric tone, name, brightness, and chroma of colors were changed by the colors of stage lighting. 2) An achromatic color was changed to a chromatic color after being combined with colors of stage lighting. 3) Stage illuminations can make fabric, colors look similar to stage colors. 4) Plain satin silk fabric which reflects light shows high brightness and chroma after being influenced by stage lighting its shining effects and color changes were clear and apparent. 5) Velvet pile fabric which absorbs light shows low brightness and chroma after being influenced by stage lightning its shining effects and changes of colors were not clear and apparent. In conclusion, natural lights did not significantly influence fabric colors and perception, while artificial lights had wide range of effects on fabric colors and perception.

  • We have fabricated a new-type high-brightness phosphor consisting of a sol-gel derived glass with finely dispersed semiconductor nanocrystals. It is possible to obtain visible light of any wavelength with a single UV irradiation. The glass firmly adheres to a glass substrate. Therefore it can easily be used for developing devices.

  • A combination of two specifically different pigments, phycoerythrine and chlorophyll, gives the laver shining black color. This shining black color is the dominant factor in deciding tile quality of the dried product of laver (dried laver). Therefore, this experiment was carried out to know the effect of tannic acid as a pigment fixing agent. Raw laver, Porphyra spp., was treated with tannic acid solutions to prevent dissolution of biliproteins especially phycoerythrine in to the fresh water. This danger is mostly revealed when the chopped and shredded lavers are suspended in fresh water before the laver sheets are finally made. The influence of mechanical damage with different diameters of chopper plate on dissolution of the pigment was also mentioned. Theresultsobtainedareasfollows: 1. When the raw laver not yet chopped was stored for 3 days at $1\~5^{\circ}C$ in a dark place, the contents of chlorophyll and phycoerythrine decreased. 2. In the organoleptic test (Table 2,3,4),: the dried laver with a good coloration and surface gloss was obtained from a chopper plate with 7 mm or 3 mm. 3. A tannic acid solution of $0.02\%$ and $0.004\%$ appeared effective In preventing dissolution of phycoerythrine.

  • In this study, observations were made on costumes of romantic ballet. Twelve ballets of romantic period were selected for this study; La Sylphide(1832), La Filledu Danube (1836), Le Diable Boiteux(1836), La Gitana(1838), La Gipsy(1839), La Tarentule(1839), L'Ombre(1839), Giselle(1841), La Peri(1843), La Esmeralda(1844), Pas de Quatre(1845), la Fille de Marbe(1847). Romantic age was acceptance of the ballerinas as the central figure on the stage. Famous ballerinas in romantic age were Marie Taglioni, Fanny Elβler, Carlota Grisi, Fanny Cerrito, Lucile Grahn. Romantic style of dancing sprung onto the stage of the Paris Oepra with M. Taglione's first performance of La Sylphide in 1832. Ballet costumes n romantic period except La Gipsy were with low decolletage, very short transparent sleeves that decorated with shining band or small cuffs, and the waist of the fitted bodice dipped to point in front decorated with sash or jewel. The form of skirts was bell-shaped and reached middle calf. That style became stereotype for ballet costume and called ballet blanc.

  • The automatic pinhole detection system is described. The goal of this project is to study the feasibility test of the new concept for hole detection. The developed method is able to detect almost 50$\mu\textrm{m}$ pinhole by evaluating the shining of the light as if there is pinhole in the strip. Moreover, it is possible to inspect up to the 200$\mu\textrm{m}$ inclined pinhole. The system cosists of three main functional parts: the source part of the light which is using the linear halogen lamp, the image gathering part which is using a line CCD and the image processing part. The light spot can be controlled and optimized corresponding to the situation of the strip. To eliminate back ground noise, the binary image processing method is adopted.
