The issue of adjuncts has long been a neglected field of linguistic study whether it be syntactic or semantic. It is only in Pustejovsky (1995) that we find a brief mention of adjuncts. In addition to what the author calls true arguments, default arguments, and shadow arguments, he sets up a class of true adjuncts citing the following sentence, Mary drove down to new York on Tuesday. We will take up a small lexical item sugiru in Japanese, and we will argue that we should posit the notion of implicit adjuncts in describing the properties with the small Japanese lexical item sugiru. Throughout the discussions that follow we will demonstrate how the notion is independently motivated irrespective of what linguistic theory we are going to adopt.

We report a case of gastric pseudoterranoviasis proven by gastrofiberscopy on Dec. 13, 1994. The 34-year-old male patient, residing in Chungju-shi, was admitted to Konkuk University Hospital complaining of prickling epigastric pain. The symptoms suddenly attacked him two days after eating raw marine fish at Chonan-shi. By the gastrofiberscopic examination, a long white-yellowish nematode was found from the fundus region of stomach. The worm was $34.50{\;}{\times}{\;}0.84{\;}{\;}mm$ in size. and was identified as a 3rd stage larva of Pseudoterranova decipiens judging from the position of the intestinal cecum. This is the 12th confirmed case of human pseudoterranoviasis in Korea.

As a part of studies on the quality control of crude drug preparation (So-Shi-Ho-Tang), index components of Glycyrrhizae Radix were identified by TLC and quantified by HPLC. Specific red spot (Rf=0.47) was identified in acid hydrolysate of glycosidic fraction on silica gel plate with benzene/ethyl acetate (1 : 1, v/v). The content of glycyrrhizin was determined by quantification of glycyrrhetinic acid by HPLC on ${\mu}-Bondapak\;C_{18}$ column with $MeOH/H_2O/HAc$ (78 : 19 : 3, v/v). Its recovery rate in the extract granules, compared to the content in the Glycyrrhizae Radix, was $83.3{\pm}0.7%$.

Wogonin and baicalein were identified in ethyl ether fraction on silica gel plate with benzene/ethyl acetate (1 : 1, v/v). The content of baicalin was determined by HPLC on ${\mu}-Bondapak\;C_18$ column with 0.5%-phosphoric acid/acetonitrile (73 : 27, v/v). Its recovery rate in the extract granules, compared to the content in the Scutellariae Radix, was $52.1\;{\pm}\;0.7%$.

The Division Algorithm is known to be the fundamental foundation for Number Theory and it leads to the Euclidean Algorithm and hence the whole theory of divisibility properties. In JiuZhang SuanShu(九章算術), greatest common divisiors are obtained by the exactly same method as the Euclidean Algorithm in Elements but the other theory on divisibility was not pursued any more in Chinese mathematics. Unlike the other authors of the traditional Chinese mathematics, Zhu ShiJie(朱世傑) noticed in his SuanXue QiMeng(算學啓蒙, 1299) that the Division Algorithm is a really important concept. In [4], we claimed that Zhu wrote the book with a far more deeper insight on mathematical structures. Investigating the Division Algorithm in SuanXue QiMeng in more detail, we show that his theory of Division Algorithm substantiates his structural apporaches to mathematics.

This paper is a sequel to the paper [8], where we discussed the connection between ShiShou KaiFangFa originated from JiuZhang SuanShu and ZengCheng KaiFangFa. Investigating KaiFangShu in a Chosun mathemtics book, SanHak JeongEui and ShuLi JingYun, we show that its authors, Nam ByungGil and Lee SangHyuk clearly understood the connection and gave examples to show that the KaiFangShu in the latter is not exact. We also show that Chosun mathematicians were very much selective when they brought in Chinese mathematics.

본 연구에서는 삼차원 역학적 해석과 수리-역학 상호작용 해석에 동시에 적용할 수 있도록 불연속면자료를 이용하여 삼차원 블록을 만드는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 삼차원 블록의 역학적 해석을 위해 Shi가 개발한 이차원 불연속변형 해석의 이론을 삼차원으로 확장하여 프로그램을 개발하고 실제 블록에 적용하여 변위를 계산하였다 수리해석과 수리-역학적 상호작용 해석을 위해 기존의 이차원 불연속변형 해석의 수리-역학 상호작용 모델링 연구를 삼차원으로 확장하여 삼차원 불연속면을 고려한 수리-역학 상호작용해석을 실시하였다.

본 연구에서는 농업 기본통계 조사 표본설계와 가축통계 조사 표본설계를 제안한다. 농업 기본통계는 시.군 단위의 통계를, 그리고 가축통계는 시.도 단위의 통계를 생산할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 두 설계 모두 현행 표본보다 표본수를 줄여 표본조사의 업무량을 줄였고, 이를 위해 시.군 단위의 층화(농업 기본통계)와 시.도 단위의 층화(가축통계)를 하였으며, 특히 가축통계에서는 유의표본과 전수조사가구를 선정하여 설계의 효과를 높였다. 그 밖에 연속조사임을 감안하여 표본관리 및 표본대체 방법을 언급하였다.

If $Y_{(r)}$ denote the rth order statistic from Y, then the $X_{[r:n]}$ paired with $Y_(r)$ is termed the concomitant vector of the order statistics. The general distributions of concomitant of order statistics will be found. The mean, variance and covariance of$X_{[r:n]}$ Will be studied. Then we will apply the results to the multivariate normal variate case.e.

Parasitic organisms in the Manila clam Ruditapes philippinarium were investigated from May 2001 to April 2002 from a population of clam inhabiting intertidal zone of Shi-Heung Ri on the west coast of Jeju. Perkinsus atlanticus and Cecaria tapidis were the two main parasites that occurred firequently among the clams. Occurrence of P atlanticus varied seasonally with lowest level in late September 2001 (6.0%) and highest infection level in March 2002 (86.0%). (omitted)
