Fibrous dysplasia is a benign disorder of bone consisting of intramedullary proliferation of fibrous tissue and irregularly distributed, poorly developed bone. The disease manifests itself in the monostotic form in which only one bone is involved and the polyostotic form in which multiple bones at different sites are affected. We reported a extensive case of polyostotic fibrous dysplasia with involvement of craniofacial bones, mandible, ribs and extremities. A 18-year-old man showed remarkable right facial swelling who had been treated on right femur 3 years ago with a bone graft for pathologic fracture and he recognized facial swelling 5 years ago. Extraoral radiograms and computed tomogram showed diffuse sclerosis with a ground glass appearance of the most cranial bones, facial bones. The right mandibular lesion showed very expansile lesion with mottled appearance. Bone scans showed mutifocal increased uptakes in craniofacial bones, right mandible, bilaterally in ribs, humerus, femur, tibia and characteristic varus deformity of right femur (shepherd's crook defomity). This case showed exceptionally bilateral, extensive nature of bone lesion and didn't show any features of skin pigmentation and endocrine disturbances.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the Ethnic Fashion which is influenced by the Anti-Fashion in 1960s. Anti-Fashion as Hippie style had an effect on high fashion in the 60s-70s and which was restored in the early 90s are ethnic and folk-lore style. The influence that the Anti-Fashion has had on the Ethnic Fashion is summarized as follows. 일반적인 치료에 반응을 나타내지 않는 호흡곤란증에 걸린 4년령의 Shepherd개에서 피부, 눈, 림프절의 병변을 동반한 치명적인 파종성 크립토콕스병이 진단되었다. 세포학적검사에 의해 난원형 내지 구형이고, 두꺼운 협막을 갖고 있는, 형태학적으로 Cryptococcus neoformans와 일치하는 효모균이 증명되었다. 이 병원체는 혈액, 오줌, 콧물, 견갑전림프절 흡인물, 피부생검 시료, 피부 면봉 시료 등을 25$\circ $C의 Pal씨 배지에 접종하여 용이하게 분리되었다 배양물을 PHOL염색액으로 염색하여 현미경으로 검사한 결과 얇은 막에 싸인 발아를 나타내거나. 나타내지 않는 구형 내지 난원형의 효모균이 증명되었다. 이 개는 ketaconazole 로 치료를 시작 한 후 6일만에 폐사하였다. 공기, 흙, 비둘기 배설물, 톱밥 등을 Pal씨 배지에 접종하여 C.neoformans가 배양됨으로써 역학적으로 환경이 병원소 역할을 한 것으로 판단되었다. 환축과 환경으로부터 분리된 균주는 세밀한 동정결과 neoformans (serotype AD)에 속하며, Filobasidiella neoformans "alpha" mating type을 나타내었다. 이 연구결과, Pal씨 배지가 크립토콕스병의 조기진단과 역학적 조사에 훌륭한 감별배지라는 것이 입증되었다. 개량된 Pal씨 배지는 C. neoformans의 genetic crossing을 판단하는데 성공적으로 사용할 수 있었다.

심장 전도계에 관련된 심장 질환은 심장 전도계의 원발성 결함이나 형태학적 심장 질환 및 약물 중독 같은 속발성 원인에 의해 발생한다. 특히 선천성 심장 전도 장애의 경우, 이온 채널, 이온 채널에 관련한 세포질성 단백질, gap-junction 단백질, transcription factors (심장 발생에 관련된 유전자들) 및 kinase subunit을 전사하는 유전자의 돌연변이가 원발성 선천성 심장 전도장애의 원인으로 밝혀지고 있다. 사람의 부정맥 발생에 관련된 발병기전에 커다란 진보가 이루어지고 있음에도 불구하고, 개의 경우, 저먼 세퍼드의 급사 증후군 (sudden death syndrome)을 제외한 다른 전도 장애에 대한 연구는 극히 미비한 상태이다. 본 종설에서는 지금까지 밝혀진 심장 부정맥 발생의 분자 유전학적 고찰과 이와 관련된 사람의 유전학적 질환들과 이와 유사한 개의 선천성 심장 전도 장애에 대해 연구 고찰하였다.

An 8-year-old female, German Shepherd dog was presented with history of dyspnea and seizure. One Year Previously a lumpectomy had been performed for surgical resection of mammary mass. In serum chemistry, severe hypoglycemia and elevation of aspartate aminitransferase and creatine kinase were shown. In thoracic radiography, there were variable sized nodules in the overall lung field. On computed tomography examination, the mass was shown in left longissimus lumborum muscle. Histopathological examination revealed adenocarcinoma derived from the mammary gland. Muscular metastasis of mammary gland tumor is uncommon. This is a rare observation and could easily be overlooked or misinterpreted.

연소파를 이용한 로켓 점화장치 등에의 응용으로 관내에서 전파되는 데토네이션에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있으나 그 특성에 관하여 알려진 바는 많지 않다. 본 실험적 연구에서는 프로판-산소 혼합기로 채워진 직경 5mm, 길이 30m의 투명한 관을 이용하여 데토네이션 파의 진행을 고속촬영을 통하여 가시화하였다. 평균 속도를 측정한 결과, 압력이 감소함에 따라 정상적인 Chapman-Jouguet(CJ) 모드에서 약 $0.5V_{CJ}$에 이르는 저속 모드로 평균 속도가 감소하는 천이 영역이 존재한다. 관 길이 전체에 걸쳐 데토네이션 전파의 동적 특성을 관찰한 결과, 천이 영역에서는 데토네이션이 매우 불안정하여 주기적이거나 간헐적인 속도의 출렁임이 발생한다.

Computational fluid dynamic simulation is performed for the floating turbulent premixed flames stabilized in stagnation flows of Cho et al. [1] and Cheng and Shepherd [2]. They are both in the wrinkled flamelet regime far from the extinction limit with $u'/S^{0}_{L}$ less than unity. The turbulent flux is given in the first moment closure as a sum of the classical gradient flux due to turbulent motions and the countergradient flux due to thermal expansion. The parameter $N_{B}'s$ are greater than unity with the countergradient flux dominant over the gradient flux. The countergradient flux is assumed to be zero in $\bar{c}<0.05$. The flame surface density is modeled as a symmetric parabolic function with respect to $\bar{c}$. The product of the maximum flame surface density and the mean stretch factor is considered as a tuning constant to match the flame location. Good agreement is achieved with the measured $\tilde{w}$ and $\bar{c}$ profiles along the axis in both flames.

Purpose: This study assesses the marketing practices and value-added fish products under the Coral Reef Rehabilitation and Management Program (COREMAP) in East Indonesia. Research design, data and methodology: This study gathered qualitative and quantitative data through i) focus group discussions (FGD) with fishers, traders and COREMAP officers, ii) surveys and iii) interviews with fishermen and traders. This study surveyed 714 households (365 in COREMAP and 349 in non-COREMAP) and 33 traders (17 in COREMAP and 16 in non-COREMAP) using structured questionnaires between January and March 2016. This study used Shepherd's Index to estimate the marketing efficiency for each stage of the marketing channel. For value-added fish products, the value is determined by the difference between processed output and the raw product used. Results: Marketing cost in the non-COREMAP area was more efficient than in COREMAP as indicated by lower operational cost and higher selling price. However, no value-added fish products were produced in the non-COREMAP area. This study noted a lower catch in COREMAP area, which implies COREMAP program successfully reduced fishing pressure. Conclusions: This study identified poor infrastructure and the limited market as the major problems in developing value-added fish products in both COREMAP and non-COREMAP area.

Two dogs (case 1:2-year-old intact male German Shepherd-mixed dog and case 2: 4-year-old intact female Jindo miked) with perineal hernia were referred to the Chonbuk Animal Medical Center, Chonbuk National University. In the both cases, there were unilateral perineal swelling involving the right side of the anus. In addition, in case 2, swelling was also present ventral to the anus. Rectal palpation of pelvic diaphragm revealed weakness of the muscles. Both cases were surgically treated using muscle transposition technique for hemiorrhaphy. In case 1, transposition of the superficial gluteal and internal obturator muscles and in case 2, transposition oi semitendinosus muscle was performed for hemiorrhaphy and reconstruction of the pelvic diaphragm. Both dogs became recovered after the surgical correction and no complications were observed during 10-month (casel) and 9-month(case2). Muscle transposition can be a useful technique for the treatment of perineal hernia in the dog.

12-month-old Buldig and 3-year-old German Shepherd, treated with corticosteroids duringthe late pregnancy, were referred to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chonnam National University, with chief complaints of vaginal discharge. Radiographic, ultrasonographic and surgical findings that obtained from each cases were as follows; case I: Radiographic findings were identified 2 fetuses that were normal skeleton, however, fetal viability could not be determined. Ultrasonographic findings were identified absence of fetal heartbeat and fetal movement, abnormal echogenicity of the abdominal visera, and echogenic materials remaining within the fetal fluid. After hysterotomy, macroscopic findings of uterus were liquefied materials remaining within the uterine lumen. Fetuses were excessively autolysis (falling off the hair, depression of the eye, and necrosis of the abdormal visera and skin). case II: Radiographic findings were identified irregular fetal structures and fetal movement, loss of recognizable fetal anatomy, dislocation of fetal veterbrae and echogenic materials remaining within the uterine lumen. After ovariohysterectomy, macroscopic finding of uterus and fetus were thickened uterine wall, yellowish-brown colored administration of corticosteroids during gestation should be contraindicated because fetal death is inducced. Ultrasonography has an advantage over radiography in that it permits evaluation of fetal viability.
