NMOS 게이트 전극에 사용될 Ta-Ti 합금의 특성 (Characteristics of Ta-Ti alloy Metal for NMOS Gate Electrodes)

  • Ta-Ti metal alloy is proposed for alternate gate electrode of ULSI MOS device. Ta-Ti alloy was deposited directly on $SiO_2$ by a co-sputtering method and good interface property was obtained. The sputtering power of each metal target was 100W. Thermal and chemical stability of the electrode was studied by annealing at $500^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$ in Ar ambient. X-ray diffraction was measured to study interface reaction and EDX(energy dispersive X-ray) measurement was performed to investigate composition of Ta and Ti element. Electrical properties were evaluated on MOS capacitor, which indicated that the work function of Ta-Ti metal alloy was ${\sim}4.1eV$ compatible with NMOS devices. The measured sheet resistance of alloy was lower than that of poly silicon.

  • The seed paper was used in farm field recently for a sound young plant. The most of seed paper are made of synthetic non-woven sheet. Therefore, it is very difficult to bio-degrade in soil and is very hard to have some special function, for example keeping herbicide and/or insecticide activity because of its lack of chemical acceptability. The purpose of this research is manufacture of seedling paper which have a function of herbicide activity from waste paper. The fiber properties from waste paper were remarkably improved by fine removal with washing and/or flotation process. The paper-making ability for seed paper was enhanced with enzyme treatment of secondary fibers. The paper for seedling must have a good bio-degradation ability in soils. The absorption amount of chemical like as dithiopyr was increased remarkably in enzyme treated base paper. The embossing treatment of base paper was very effective for seed attachment and chemicals retention. And also, the developed seed paper showed a good penetration property of young root through embossed paper.

Development of a Nuclear Steam Generator Tube Inspection/maintenance Robot

  • This paper presents a nuclear steam generator tube inspection/maintenance robot system. The robot assists in automatic non-destructive testing and the repair of nuclear steam generator tubes welded into a thick tube sheet that caps a hemispherical or quarter-sphere plenum which is a high-radiation area. For easy carriage and installation, the robot system consists of three separable parts: a manipulator, a water-chamber entering and leaving device for the manipulator and a manipulator base pose adjusting device. A software program to control and manage the robotic system has been developed on the NT based OS to increase the usability. The software program provides a robot installation function, a robot calibration function, a managing and arranging function for the eddy-current test, a real time 3-D graphic simulation function which offers remote reality to operators and so on. The image information acquired from the camera attached to the end-effecter is used to calibrate the end-effecter pose error and the time-delayed control algorithm is applied to calculate the optimal PID gain of the position controller. The developed robotic system has been tested in the Ulchin NPP type steam generator mockup in a laboratory.

  • RFID 시스템은 현재 다양한 분야에서 사용되어 지고 있는 바코드 인식 시스템이나 자기 인식 장치들이 근본적으로 내재하고 있는 실용성 및 보안성 문제점들을 보완할 수 있는 대체 시스템으로 각광받고 있다. 특히 RFID 시스템은 교통카드, 출입구 보안 및 출결 카드 분야를 포함한 상거래와 직접적인 관련이 있는 물류관리, 재고관리, 항만관리, 동물관리 등 물류 및 유통 분야에서도 빠르게 응용 및 확산되어 사용되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 한 예로서 RFID시스템을 TCP/IP를 이용하여 네트워크화하여 구성한 안전하고 효율적인 원격 출입 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 먼저 원격 출입 제어에 적합한 인증 프로토콜을 제안하며, 제안한 인증 프로토클 기반의 원격 보안 출입 제어 시스템이 원활한 자동문 제어가 가능함을 임베디드 시스템과 TCP/IP 기반의 RFID 시스템으로 구성된 자동문 세트를 활용한 모의실험을 통해 실용성을 증명한다.

  • Permanent-magnet (PM) passive bearings use the repulsive forces between the rotor and the stator magnets for the bearing function. It is desirable that the stiffness of the bearing is maximized with the given volume of the magnet. The stiffness is affected by the magnet strength, the number of layers, and the magnetization patterns. Previously, finite-element method (FEM) has been used to maximize the stiffness of the bearing. In this paper, we used the equivalent current sheet method to calculate the stiffness. The validity of this approach is checked against FEM results. The optimized bearing is applied to a micro flywheel energy storage system.

  • Optical, electrical and structural properties of VOx/ZnO/VOx thin film are studied. The VOx/ZnO/VOx multilayer is deposited by using a radio frequency (RF) sputtering system. The VOx/ZnO/VOx thin film shows the high temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of $-3.12%/^{\circ}C$ and the low sheet resistance of about 80 $k{\Omega}/sq$ at room temperature. The responsivity and detectivity of the bolometer are measured as a function of modulation frequency.

  • We have designed High Performance Prism LGP in 17 inch TFT-LCD. In test result to embody high brightness BLU in case of LGP of base and upper surface with 17 inch, thickness 8mm adding prism construct, it is superior brightness improvement than previous that of printing form about some 20% and in this course to embody actual material it succeeded prism LGP production by 17 inch injection form process.

  • Slope failures are happen to natural disastrous when they occur in mountainous areas adjoining highways in Korea. The accidents associated with slope failures have increased due to rapid urbanization of mountainous areas. Therefore, Regular maintenance is essential for all slope and conducted to maintain road safety as well as road function. In this study, we take priority of making a database of risk factor of the failure of a slope before assesment and analysis. The purpose of this paper is to recommend a standard of Slope Management Information Sheet(SMIS) like as Hazard Map. The next research, we suggest to pre-estimated model of a road slope using Logistic Regression Model.

고탄성체를 이용한 실린더 튜브의 축관 성형 연구 (Analysis of Cylindrical Tube Forming Process Using Polyurethane)

  • The elastomer forming process was employed for many operations which included piercing, sheet metal forming and tube metal forming process. This paper presents cylindrical tube forming process using rubber material such as polyurethane. For elastomer forming process, tensile tests at room temperature were performed to obtain the material properties of polyurethane and tube. In particular, biaxial tensile test were carried out to obtain the coefficient of strain energy function of the rubber material. Finite element analyses were also carried out to investigate the forming load and formability of tube. It was compared with the experimental results about the forming load and the formability of tube. From these results, it was investigated a forming process to decrease the forming load for elastomer forming process.

  • Sheets of aluminum alloy 1100 were asymmetrically cold rolled in a rolling mill with different roll speeds. In order to promote the shear deformation during asymmetrical rolling, cold rolling without lubrication was performed. The evolution of texture components during asymmetrical rolling was investigated by the calculation of the orientation distribution function (ODF) using the monoclinic sample symmetry. The strain state during asymmetrical rolling was tackled by means of FEM calculations. Asymmetrical rolling gave rise to the development of pronounced strain gradients throughout the thickness layers which resulted in the formation of strong texture gradients in the aluminum sheet.
