The demand for reinforcement in accordance with remodeling, seismic retrofit, and change of use of the existing structure is increasing. Originally, shear wall new and extension method has been adopted a lot as seismic retrofit methods. Recently, dry seismic retrofit method that uses structural steel is mostly adopted in order to minimize spatiotemporal aspect and underpinning that occurs when a construct shear wall. We redesigned the form of old and new concrete joint high-shear ring anchor that was developed according to recent reinforcement method and determined construction method. Shear tests were performed on High-Shear Ring Anchor for steel-concrete connection. Comparison with 4 tests shows that the average of test-to-prediction ratios is 1.01.

A study was conducted to secure structural performance as well as improve workability by improving the reinforcement details of special shear wall and coupling beams. Based on the specimen in which the existing diagonal bundle reinforcement and shear reinforcement were placed, the specimens replaced with thick diagonal reinforcing bars and the specimens replaced with horizontal reinforcing bars were selected as variables. As a result of the experiment, the specimen, which replaced the existing diagonal reinforcement with a thick-diameter reinforcement, showed a similar behavior to that of the basic specimen, and it was evaluated that it can be applied as an alternative to the details.

Compared with a steel-reinforced section with equal areas of longitudinal reinforcement, a cross section using FRP flexural reinforcement after cracking has a smaller depth to the neutral axis because of the lower axial stiffness. The compression region of the cross section is reduced, and the crack widths are wider. As a result, the shear resistance provided by both aggregate interlock and compressed concrete is smaller. Research on the shear capacity of flexural members without shear reinforcement has indicated that the concrete shear strength is influenced by the stiffness of the flexural reinforcement. In this research, experimental observations were made for the shear strength of FRP reinforced concrete beam and validity of existing predicting equations were examined. Test results showed that shear strength decreased as shear-span increased.
In this paper, cyclic loading test was performed to evaluate the seismic performance of the steel coupling beam and RC shear wall. The test parameter was reinforcement detail of the shear wall. For the shear wall which was designed in accordance with the current design codes, a premature bearing failure occurred at the face of the wall. On the other hand, the bearing failure of walls was prevented due to the new type of reinforcement details. Test results indicated that the vertical reinforcements were more affected to the shear strength of the coupled shear wall than the horizontal reinforcement. Based on the failure mode, concrete stress distribution above and below flanges of the embedded steel beam was proposed. Assuming proposed concrete stress distribution, load resistance was predicted and it was agree well with test data.
The most important part in the earth reinforcement is the interface between soil and the reinforcement. Shear strength and shear behavior in this interface make a great role relating to the reinforcement effect. This paper presents 2 kinds of direct shear test methods. one is the strain free shear test, called 'free method', that is performed by the free condition of allowing tensile strain. The other is the strain fix shear test, called 'fixed method', that is performed by the fixed condition of not allowing tensile strain. Two reinforcements were used such as nonwoven geotextile and geogrid. That is, interfaces are composed of geogrid/sand and geotextile/sand. From the test results it shows us that the fixed method had a greater friction angle and a smaller peak shear strain than those of the free method. Residual stress of the fixed method was bigger than that of the free method but the residual stress ratio was vice versa.

Most of the predicted shear strength of continuous R.C. beam whitout web reinforcement were accepted by testing simple beams. But the experimental results may show that a differential behavior on simple and continuous R.C. beam. In this study, estimated shear strength of continuous R.C. beam without web reinforcement with internal force state factors by test as purpose to apply available predicted equation to normal continuous R.C. beam. This equation is applied to experimentally tested data and the results were compared with those predicted by the codes. Predicted shear strength using force state factor can provide a tested data rather than codes which like ACI
The purpose of this study is to investigate experimentally the shear resisting behavior of the reinforced concrete beams strengthened with reinforcement materials(CFRP). Five specimens were manufactured and tested under, static monotonic loading. The main variables In the test were a space and volume of reinforcement. The test result indicated that the method of CFRP increase significantly the shear strength of a reinforced concrete beam

The objective of this experimental study was to understand the structural behavior of reinforced concrete continuous deep beams with welded deformed wire fabric(WWF) as shear reinforcement. The structural behavior of deep beams reinforced with WWF was compared with that of deep beams reinforced with orthogonal shear reinforcement which had standard anchorage corresponding to ACI 318-02. Test results showed that the load transferring capacity and the control of splitting cracks in the strut of WWF were almost as effective as those of orthogonal shear reinforcement with standard anchorage.

In this paper, It is the effect of using fiber sheet (Carbon Fiber Sheet & Aramid Fiber Sheet) and Steel Plate for reinforced concrete beam. 25 specimens are tested, 16 specimens are for bending capacity and the other are for shear capacity. In the case of bending testing, the kind and quantity of the reinforcement materials, the bondage and the existence of crack were selected as experimental variables. In the case of shear testing, It is testified the effect of reinforcement with the variables of the method of reinforcement (side type and U type). As a result, Using the reinforcing materials can increase the capacity of bending and shear stress.
This paper describes the numerical modelling of an interior slab-column connection to investigate the punching shear resistance of reinforced concrete (RC) slabs under fire conditions. Parameters of the study were the fire direction, flexural reinforcement ratio, load levels, shear reinforcement and compressive strength of concrete. Moreover, the efficiency of the insulating material, gypsum, in reducing the heat transferred to the slab was assessed. Validation studies were conducted comparing the simulation results to experiments from the literature and common codes of practice. Temperature dependencies of both concrete and reinforcing steel bars were considered in thermo-mechanical analyses. Results showed that there is a slight difference in temperature endurance of various models with respect to concrete with different compressive strengths. It was also concluded that compared to a slab without gypsum, 10-mm and 20-mm thick gypsum reduce the maximum heat transferred to the slab by 45.8% and 70%, respectively. Finally, it was observed that increasing the flexural reinforcement ratio changes the failure mode from flexural punching to brittle punching in most cases.
