Academic research libraries are seeking a long-term preservation plan for journals for cost-effective stewardship. The emergence of shared print archives has given the library community the opportunity to resolve the problem of the lack of library storage and build a collaborative long-term archiving plan for the print journals. The purpose of this study is to examine Western Regional Storage Trust(WEST), the largest print journal archiving program in North America, and identify their strategies for building a distributed, retrospective print repository service for journals. Based on the analysis, this article will discuss the development of new trends of collaborative library management in a digital age.

In this paper, we present an environment configuration of UML CASE tool for internet based collaboration work. We define a method of model sharing in distributed location and construct shared repository. Also we design for model history among work processes and to give responsibility using user authentication. Its result will contribute development of CASE tool supporting collaboration work.
As clearly suggested in the case of Wikipedia, collective intelligence is predicted to develop into the most important platform of knowledge and information in the future society. But it just remains at the level of activities for group projects in the present frame of education and so it doesn't lead to creating collective intelligence. This study looks into an 'information repository model of collective intelligence' that makes it possible to deliver an education process a priori of Shared Knowledge Reservoir to "Junior Digital Nomad", who is definitely and will be in existence, and that further enables them to be active there in reality. Based on this storage model, it suggests a practicable web system model; Junior Maphistory e-encyclopedia, which is appropriately consistent with the features of Web 2.0 and can grow into a general historical and geographical information service.

The semantic information provided through the semantic-based IoT system will produce new high value-added products that are completely different from what we have known and experienced. From this point of view, the key issue of current IoT technology and applications is the development of an intelligent IoT platform architecture. The proposed system collects the IoT data of the sensors from the cloud computer, converts them into RDF, and annotates them with semantics. The converted semantic data is shared and utilized through the ontology repository. We use KT's IoTMakers as a cloud computing environment, and the ontology repository uses Jena's Fuseki server to express SPARQL query results on the web using Daum Map API and Highcharts API. This gives people the opportunity to access the semantic IoT mash-up service easily and has various application possibilities.
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) has been used for business-to-business communication for almost a quarter of a century. Initial efforts Involved inter-company agreements on how to exchange commercial data, initially as information stored on tape and later as messages sent over dedicated data lines. To avoid having to use different protocols to move data between different companies, various Industry groups identified sets of data that could form the basis of individual agreements. The industry groups also sought to agree the format in which fields in such data sets were interchange so that a company only needed to develop one methodology for decoding information received without resource to human intervention. The XML/EDI specific components are built on top of existing standards for transmitting and processing XML-encoded data. These standards define shared features such as: the standard Internet file storage/naming and data transport mechanisms, file and message transfer formats, the syntax of data coded in XML, the way in which XML files can be validated by an XML parser or document object model generator, the way in which XSL presentation and data evaluation scripts can be associated with parsed objects, the use of rules and data management robots to manage application and repository interfaces.
This paper presents GDOCF(Government Document Enterprise Architecture Framework) based on the direction of EA(Enterprise Architecture) framework to build GDOCEA. The construction of EA for GDOC offered various types of information technology Platform which advanced the interoperability between Government Information Systems. In addition, it insured the interoperability between the e-Government Initiatives and helped a consistent management for information resource. As a result, MOGAHA could support a policy decision and capital investment plan for information. Also, all the information needed for the operation and management of GDOC has been being referenced, shared and utilized as EA repository. Eventually Pilot EA would be a corner stone to build EA master plan considering all the information systems in MOGAHA.
Most of large-scale distributed file systems decouple a metadata operation from read and write operations for a file. In the distributed file systems, a certain server named a metadata server (MDS) maintains metadata information in file system such as access information for a file, the position of a file in the repository, the namespace of the file system, and so on. But, the existing systems used restrictive metadata management schemes, because most of the distributed file systems designed to focus on the distributed management and the input/output performance of data rather than the metadata. Therefore, in the existing systems, the metadata throughput and expandability of the metadata server are limited. In this paper, we propose a new non-shared metadata management scheme in order to provide the high metadata throughput and scalability for a cluster of MDSs. First, we derive a dictionary partitioning scheme as a new metadata distribution technique. Then, we present a load balancing technique based on the distribution technique. It is shown through various experiments that our scheme outperforms existing metadata management schemes in terms of scalability and load balancing.

It is a general tendency that a traditional class management system is operated by teachers' arbitrary decision. However, at the present day, it is needed that both students and teachers make an autonomy standard manual and manage the class by themselves in order to cultivate the qualified democratic citizen. Therefore existing class management systems do not meet present classes with diversity. In this paper, we design a new web application framework using REDIS(Remote Dictionary System) for class management. REDIS is a kind of data repository to store various key values and also generally provides a solution of developing web applications with shared memories. We designed a web application framework to maximize both convenience of use and accessibility. The scalability of the class management system can be effectively enhanced using diverse template functions which are basically provided by the framework.
Ontologies have provided supports in integrating heterogeneous and distributed information. More and more ontologies and tools have been developed in various domains. However, building ontologies requires much time and effort. Therefore, ontologies need to be shared and reused among users. Specifically, finding the desired ontology from an ontology repository will benefit users. In the past, most of the studies on retrieving and ranking ontologies have mainly focused on lexical level supports. In those cases, it is impossible to find an ontology that includes concepts that users want to use at the semantic level. Most ontology libraries and ontology search engines have not provided semantic matching capability. Retrieving an ontology that users want to use requires a new ontology selection and ranking mechanism based on semantic similarity matching. We propose an ontology selection and ranking model consisting of selection criteria and metrics which are enhanced in semantic matching capabilities. The model we propose presents two novel features different from the previous research models. First, it enhances the ontology selection and ranking method practically and effectively by enabling semantic matching of taxonomy or relational linkage between concepts. Second, it identifies what measures should be used to rank ontologies in the given context and what weight should be assigned to each selection measure.
