Sex offense by medical practitioners has been occurring continuously in Korea leading to not only patients but the general public expressing anxiety and increased distrust in the medical field. The government has been pushing ahead with the legislation or revision of law to increase the penalties on sexual offenders in response to requests for a stricter legal framework to address sex offense cases and has expressed a strong commitment to actively resorting to administrative corrective measures towards sexually offending medical practitioners. Unlike such an overall social atmosphere, the Judiciary that is in charge of applying the law seems not to perceive the seriousness of sex offense cases committed by medical practitioners. A doctor who had sexually assaulted a middle school female student during medical treatment at a pediatric hospital was found innocent by the supreme court, which was a ruling in direct contrast to overall public sentiment. As such, this study seeks to analyze the precedent on cases involving sex offense by medical practitioners with a focus on the above-mentioned case and present implications. The study seeks to dispel distrust in the overall medical field by addressing the gap in legal interpretation towards sex offense committed by medical practitioners and thus provide basic data that can help the general public receive quality medical services in a safer environment.
An app is designed for the socially disadvantaged related to the Sex Offense. In 2013, The Republic of Korea claimed to exterminate four social evils. The first one of social evils is sexual assault. The app proposed in this paper will be used to prevent sex offenses. People may check the news related to the sex offense and search the sex offender. People may learn simple self-defense martial arts and use guidance service to go home safely. People may use this app trying to keep safety from the potential criminals by themselves.
This research progressed space evaluation test with 3D simulation for exterior space of detached housing area among the Seoul spaces of child sex offense in 2010. Based on changing analysis on natural surveillance by spatial changes of each physical element, the purpose is to suggest effective construction planning measure for preventing child sex offense. The results of research are as follows. First, natural surveillance of space's height differences and width differences were compared and analyzed. As the result, footpath shows that stairs of slope didn't make lots of effects on visual block, not block of spatial moving, because of the difference of stair height. Also, in case of parking space, visual connection with footpath is expanded when designing pilotis rather than heightening floor height, so activities of exterior people could be seen more easily. Therefore, natural surveillance was higher. Second, natural surveillance of architectural elements by changes of footpath' width was compared and analyzed. As the result, openness of footpath should be secured rather than openness of architectural element. And, planning autonomy of architectural form could be more expanded when securing openness of footpath.
A sex offense report highlights the victim as well as the offender involved in the sex crime. This study explored the hierarchy between the offender and the victim, based on the frequency analysis and network analysis. In case that the perpetrator is a celebrity, the media focuses more on the celebrity's actions. The volume of reports for cases where the offender has a position superior to the victim's (offender superior relationship) is larger than for those where the two have a horizontal relationship. The press highlights the celebrity in offender superior relationships and the victim in horizontal relationships. The celebrity is held responsible for the cause of the crime in the offender superior relationship. However, the victim him/herself is held responsible for the perpetrated offense in horizontal relationships. According to the results of the analyses in this study, the press fails to protect human rights and privacy in offender superior relationships.
The purpose of this study was to find the general trends of college students'dating violence and coping behavior, to examine the difference among dating violence and coping behavior according to individual variables and relational variables, and to analyze the effects of these variables influencing coping behavior. The major findings were as follow; First, 99.1% of respondents reported that they had experienced violence at least once. The score of violence offense and violence victimization was lower than median. But male students' sexual violence was significantly higher than females'. Second, total score of coping behavior was lower than median. The score of female students positive coping was significantly higher than males, and that of mate students' avoidance coping was significantly higher than females. Third, the violence style varied with sex, altitude toward violence, anti-communication, and conflict. etc. Fourth, the positive coping behavior varied with victim response and victimization of physical violence. etc. The avoidance coping behavior varied with sex, age, grade, sex-role attitude, and partner's sexual violence. etc. ruth, the positive coping behavior was influenced by sex, partner's psychological violence, conflict, anti-communication. etc. The avoidance coping behavior was influenced by sex and grade.
Congress enacted the sex offender registration and notification act in order to prevent sexual offenses and protect public safety in the U.S.. Namely, in 2006, the Jacob Wetterling Act and Megan's Law were integrated into the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act as a comprehensive sex offender supervision and management scheme. The AWA aims to eliminate loopholes and gaps formed by inconsistent state laws and statutes as well as to provide the federal standards for sex offender registration and notification. However, the AWA contains over-inclusive sex offender registration requirements and punishments. For this reason, the implementation of the AWA may cause problems for states, sex offenders, and citizens, both as taxpayers and as beneficiaries of the AWA. Therefore, the AWA that does not differentiate between violent and non-violent offenders should be reformed to allow law enforcement officials to focus on sex offenders convicted of violent and heinous crimes. That is, the AWA should not apply to sex offenders who are not dangerous, not likely to recidivate, and who committed non-violent crimes. In addition, because the AWA requires juvenile offenders to registrate on public notification forums, it may result in a greater risk to community safety and potential risk of reoffense. Accordingly, juvenile offenders convicted of non-violent sex offenses and not likely to recidivate will be provided appropriate treatments to be rehabilitated as members of community.
Research on sex offense has shown that sex offenders are very heterogeneous. Sex offenders are heterogeneous in their probability of risk of recidivism. Some sex offenders are known to be much higher in their tendencies to reactivate than others. The study examined the predictive and explanatory power of static and dynamic risk factors in STATIC-99 and HAGSOR-Dynamic which have been used in Korean correctional facilities since 2014. STATIC-99 and HAGSOR-Dynamic showed moderate predictive accuracy for all crimes(AUC = .737, AUC = .597, respectively, ps < .001). However, when examining sex crime alone, only STATIC-99 predicted recidivism significantly(AUC = .743, p < .001). The incremental predictive power of HAGSOR-Dynamic was confirmed; the explanatory power of Model 2 comprising both static and dynamic risk factors were significant beyond Model 1 comprising only static factors(∆χ2= 12.721, p < .001), but this tendency was only applied to the model of all crimes. These findings were discussed with implications of practicing the sex offender assessment and treatment.
In this study, we analyzed the difference in survival rates of those subject to electronic supervision of sex crimes based on the tracking of the period of recidivism and whether they were recidivism, and wanted to confirm the ability of the criminal record to predict recidivism. The criteria for recidivism were defined as cases where a conviction was confirmed due to a criminal case that occurred during the execution of electronic monitoring, and the date of recidivism was the date of occurrence of a case that was confirmed guilty. A total of 122 re-offenders were used in the analysis, and all of them were charged with electronic supervision for committing sex crimes. Studies have confirmed that the subjects commit the most recidivism within three years. In addition, in this study, the difference in survival rate between groups was analyzed after classifying mixed and sex recidivism cases. The number of members was 88 for the mixed recidivism group and 34 for the sex recidivism group. The analysis confirmed that both groups had the most recidivism within three years. There was a slight difference between the survival rate of the mixed recidivism group and the survival rate of the sex recidivism group. So the Log Rank Test and the Generalized Wilcoxon Test were conducted, but no statistically significant differences were identified(Wilcoxon statistic = 2.326, df = 1, p = .13, Log Rank = 1.345, df = 1, p = .25). Next, a Cox Regression analysis was performed to confirm the ability of the criminal record to predict recidivism. As a result, the number of criminal records(sex offense, violent crime) have been confirmed to be a good predictor of recidivism(X2=27.33, df=1, p< .001). As a result, the recidivism rate is gradually decreasing due to the implementation of the electronic monitoring. However, the duration of recidivism required by sex offenders in high-risk groups was found to be rather short. Currently, security measures against felons are being strengthened, so it is necessary to select high-risk groups. Therefore, based on the related studies, the characteristics of high-risk groups and the results of recidivism studies will be used as a basis for disposal within the criminal justice system, which will play a major role in granting objectivity.
"Do not ask crimes", such as "child sexual abuse" and according to the known through media reports, the people's fear and worry increasingly severe become and the damage increasing day by day and is Still unable to find effective countermeasures that national security policy is a reality. In this study, the result was the development of new security equipment for the purpose of the research team to the solution of the problem of domestic policing these sexual offenses prevention of GPS applications and existing smartphone to suit the era of 20 million development in the online and offline sales and is proposed to complement the problems of the samdanbong multifunction smart samdanbong. First, the function will be applied according to the trend due to the increase of heinous crime, both online and offline sales surge in self-defense products that are being sold on the market, finding problems samdanbong of smart multifunctional smart samdanbong the actual crime and the corresponding effective products were planning to have a secure management system, through a legal review on the current law. Second, sexual offenses, such as Internet use, travel, residential location, and management of sexual offenses Felon Felon's daily life strictly sexual offenses prevention of GPS applications to the characteristics of the sexual offenses scrutinized nearly enough to the frequency of recurrence of 50% is high, look at the case of foreign proposed the streets of sex offenders and the development of applications that can be checked in real-time by considering the basic characteristics to manage.
Purpose: In the case of cavity discovered by ground penetrating radar exploration, it is necessary to accurately predict the filling amount in the cavity in advance, fill the cavity sufficiently and exert strength to ensure stability and prevent ground subsidence. Method: The cavity waveform analysis method by GPR exploration and the method using the cavity shape imaging equipment were performed to measure the cavity shape with irregular size and shape of the actual cavity, and the amount of cavity filling of the injection material was calculated during rapid restoration. Result: The expected filling amount was presented by analyzing the correlation between the cavity size and the filling amount of injection material according to the cavity scale and soil depth through the method by GPR exploration and the cavity scale calculation using the cavity shaping equipment. Conclusion: The cavity scale measured by the cavity imaging equipment was found to be in the range of 20% to 40% of the cavity scale by GPR exploration. In addition, the filling amount of injection material compared to the cavity scale predicted by GPR exploration was in the range of about 60% to 140%, and the filling amount of the injection material compared to the cavity size by the cavity shaping equipment was confirmed to be about 260% to 320 Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the types of crimes taking place in the metaverse, and to establish a crime prevention strategy and find a legal deterrent against it. Method: In order to classify crime types in the metaverse, crime types were analyzed based on the results of previous studies and current incidents. Result: Most of the crimes taking place in the metaverse are done in games such as Roblox or Zeppetto. Most of the game users were teenagers. Looking at the types, there are many teens for sexual crimes, violent crimes, and defamation, but professional criminals are often included in copyright infringement, money laundering using virtual currency, and fraud. Conclusion: Since the types of crimes in the metaverse are diverse, various institutional supplementary mechanisms such as establishment of police crime prevention strategies, legal regulations, and law revisions will have to be prepared.
