시그모이드 함수를 이용한 다중 계측데이터 모니터링 시스템 (Multimetric Measurement Data Monitoring System Using Sigmoid Function)

  • 구조물에 작용하는 토압의 방향과 장기변위상태변화를 직관적으로 파악하기 위해 수평, 수직방향의 변위 데이터를 시그모이드 함수를 이용하여 가공하고 각각 좌표계의 한 축으로 하여 변위좌표계 시스템을 설정하였다. 이러한 변위좌표계에 변위상태(압축 또는 팽창) 구분영역과 관리단계 구분영역 설정하여 각 계측지점의 변위상태와 관리단계를 직관적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 관측점을 연속적으로 나타내어 변위경로를 나타내었으며, 변위경로를 통해 변위이력, 변위추세, 지반에 작용하는 응력방향 등을 알 수 있었다. 흙막이 가시설의 실계측데이터 분석 결과 모든 계측지점에서 응력해방 방향으로 변위가 일어났으며, 정상관리상태에 위치하였다. 또한 공간적 상관성이 높은 계측지점 간 거동은 비슷한 거동추세를 보였으며, 공간적 상관성이 낮은 계측지점 간에는 상이한 거동 추세를 보였다. 공간적으로 연속되어 분포하는 지표침하데이터를 변위좌표계를 이용하여 전조현상과 거동영역에 대한 상관성 분석을 수행하면 파괴시간, 영역 예측이 가능 할 것으로 판단된다.

Optimization of VIGA Process Parameters for Power Characteristics of Fe-Si-Al-P Soft Magnetic Alloy using Machine Learning

  • Soft magnetic powder materials are used throughout industries such as motors and power converters. When manufacturing Fe-based soft magnetic composites, the size and shape of the soft magnetic powder and the microstructure in the powder are closely related to the magnetic properties. In this study, Fe-Si-Al-P alloy powders were manufactured using various manufacturing process parameter sets, and the process parameters of the vacuum induction melt gas atomization process were set as melt temperature, atomization gas pressure, and gas flow rate. Process variable data that records are converted into 6 types of data for each powder recovery section. Process variable data that recorded minute changes were converted into 6 types of data and used as input variables. As output variables, a total of 6 types were designated by measuring the particle size, flowability, apparent density, and sphericity of the manufactured powders according to the process variable conditions. The sensitivity of the input and output variables was analyzed through the Pearson correlation coefficient, and a total of 6 powder characteristics were analyzed by artificial neural network model. The prediction results were compared with the results through linear regression analysis and response surface methodology, respectively.

Comparison of vital sign stability and cost effectiveness between midazolam and dexmedetomidine during third molar extraction under intravenous sedation

  • Objectives: To compare the vital sign stability and cost of two commonly used sedatives, midazolam (MDZ) and dexmedetomidine (DEX). Patients and Methods: This retrospective study targeted patients who underwent mandibular third molar extractions under intravenous sedation using MDZ or DEX. The predictor variable was the type of sedative used. The primary outcome variables were vital signs (heart rate and blood pressure), vital sign outliers, and cost of the sedatives. A vital sign outlier was defined as a 30% or more change in vital signs during sedation; the fewer changes, the higher the vital sign stability. The secondary outcome variables included the observer's assessment of alertness/sedation scale, level of amnesia, patient satisfaction, and bispectral index score. Covariates were sex, age, body mass index, sleeping time, dental anxiety score, and Pederson scale. Descriptive statistics were computed including propensity score matching (PSM). The P-value was set at 0.05. Results: The study enrolled 185 patients, 103 in the MDZ group and 82 in the DEX group. Based on the data after PSM, the two samples had similar baseline covariates. The sedative effect of both agents was satisfactory. Heart rate outliers were more common with MDZ than with DEX (49.3% vs 22.7%, P=0.001). Heart rate was higher with MDZ (P=0.000). The cost was higher for DEX than for MDZ (29.27±0.00 USD vs 0.37±0.04 USD, P=0.000). Conclusion: DEX showed more vital sign stability, while MDZ was more economical. These results could be used as a reference to guide clinicians during sedative selection.

Comparative Analysis of Water Absorption and Water Solubility of Alkasite-based Restorative Material

  • Purpose: Cention N (Ivoclar Vivadent) was a recently introduced alkasite-based restorative material that was expected to replace amalgam and glass ionomer cement. This material was an esthetic restoration with adequate mechanical strength and release of fluoride and calcium. The purpose of this study was to measure the water sorption and water solubility of Cention N and evaluate its long-term durability compared to other esthetic restorations (Resin-Modified Glass Ionomer cement [RMGIC], Giomer, Composite Resin). Materials and Methods: Twenty specimens each of Cention N (CN), Resin Modified-Glass Ionomer Cement (FJ), Giomer (BF), and Composite Resin (FZ) were made. After each specimen was completely dried in a desiccator for 24 hours using a vacuum pressure pump, the specimen was weighed (m1). After that, the specimen was immersed in distilled water at 37℃ for 7 days, stored in a drying oven, and weighed (m2). After drying completely for 24 hours in a desiccator, the specimen was weighed (m3) to calculate the water absorption and water solubility using Formulas 1 and 2. The measured values were statistically processed and analyzed using SPSS, and the significance level was set at 0.05. Result: When measuring water sorption, FJ (122.61 ㎍/mm3) showed significantly higher water sorption than CN (35.42 ㎍/mm3) (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between FZ (18.03 ㎍/mm3) and BF (14.76 ㎍/mm3) (P=0.930). When measuring water solubility, CN (6.65 ㎍/mm3) showed significantly higher water solubility than FJ (1.47 ㎍/mm3) (P<0.05). Conclusion: Cention N had lower water sorption than RMGIC, but higher water solubility, indicating that it is more vulnerable to moisture and has lessened long-term durability.

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자의 외출 목적을 인지하고 외출 시 도움을 줄 수 있는 유용한 정보를 전달하는 스마트 홈 외출 케어 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대해 연구한다. ESP8266을 이용하여 기상청의 RSS 서비스 데이터를 실시간으로 전송할 수 있고, Arduino MEGA를 이용하여 데이터를 분석 후 사용자에게 기상정보를 제공할 수 있는 시스템을 구현한다. 앱인벤터를 활용하여 필요한 물품을 잊지 않고 챙길 수 있으며 원하는 날씨와 목적에 맞게 설정을 변경 가능하다. 마이크 위치는 외부에 배치하여 인지도를 12% 높였으며, 압력센서의 감도는 최대 210 kΩ으로 설정했다. 문 사이에 장애물이 있을 경우 자동으로 문이 열린다. 서랍 천장에 초음파 센서를 배치해 0.5cm~10cm 범위 내 물체를 인식해 물체 유무를 확인하고 카메라를 설치해 보안 강화 시스템을 연구헸다.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT OF TUNNELLING IN SEVERE GROUNDWATER CONDITION

  • For a hydro power plant project, the headrace tunnel having a finished diameter of 3.3m was constructed in volcanic rocks with well-developed vertical joint and high groundwater table. The intake facility was located 20.3 km upstream of the powerhouse and headrace tunnel of 20 km in length and penstock of 440 m in height connected the intake and the powerhouse. The typical caldera lake, Lake Toba set the geology at the site; the caving of the ground caused tension cracks in the vertical direction to be developed and initial stresses at the ground to be released. High groundwater table(the maximum head of 20 bar) in the area of well-connected vertical joints delayed the progress of tunnel excavation severely due to the excessive inflow of groundwater. The excavation of tunnel was made using open-shield type TBM and mucking cars on the rail. High volume of water inflow raised the water level inside tunnel to 70 cm, 17% of tunnel diameter (3.9 m) and hindered the mucking of spoil under water. To improve the productivity, several adjustments such as modification of TBM and mucking cars and increase in the number of submersible pumps were made for the excavation of severe water inflow zone. Since the ground condition encountered during excavation turned out to be much worse, it was decided to adopt PC segment lining instead of RC lining. Besides, depending on the conditions of the water inflow, rock mass condition and internal water pressure, one of the invert PC segment lining with in-situ RC lining, RC lining and steel lining was applied to meet the site specific condition. With the adoption of PC segment lining, modification of TBM and other improvement, the excavation of the tunnel under severe groundwater condition was successfully completed.

119 구급대원의 구급활동일지 기록 충실도 (Completeness of Emergency Medical Service Activity Report by Paramedics)

  • 본 연구는 119 구급대원이 기록 충실도를 조사하기 위해, 현장응급처치지침을 기반으로 구급활동일지 작성지침을 준수하는지 여부를 분석하였다. 정상 이송된 67,830건을 대상으로 IBM SPSS Statistics version 22.0으로 통계분석을 진행하였으며, p<0.5를 통계적 유의성이 있는 것으로 정의하였다. 구급활동일지 필수항목 기록 충실도에서는 구급대원 2 자격 누락이 50,037건(73.8%)로 가장 많았으며, 다음으로 시간과 관련된 항목의 오기록율이 1,227건(1.8%)으로 많았다. 환자평가 충실도에서는 1차 활력징후에서 수축기혈압이 누락 및 오기록 되는 건수가 각각 1,218건(1.9%), 1,129건(1.8%)로 가장 많았고, 2차 활력징후에서는 모든 항목에서 정상 기록율이 70%대에 그쳤다. 환자의 중증도가 높을수록 기록지 작성에 오류가 많이 발생하였고 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p=.00). 병원 전 상황은 좋은 기록지를 완성하기에 여러 가지 여러움이 존재하지만 구급대원은 기록지 작성의 중요성을 인지하여 충실도를 높일 수 있는 방안을 강구해야 할 것이다.

지반의 동상력과 구조물의 피해대책 (Frost Heave Force of Ground and Countermeasure for Damage of Structures)

  • 동결작용은 빌딩, 구조물, 도로, 철도 그리고 공공시설관로에 엄청난 손상을 일으킬 것이다. 자연지반의 동상에 대한 연구는 과거에 많이 수행되었다. 근래에는 사회기반시설 유지의 발전과 함께 각종구조물의 복잡화로 인하여 동상대책에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 구조물에 작용하는 자연지반의 동상력을 정량적으로 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 지표면에 설치한 원형강판에 작용하는 동상력이 현장시험에서 측정되었다. 동결면에서 발생하는 동상력은 동결된 토층을 거쳐 구조물에 전달된다. 또한 다단앵커로 보강된 옹벽이 현장에 설치되고 옹벽에 작용하는 동결선과 동상압 등이 측정되었다. 최종적으로 동결면의 위치와 형상이 수치해석수법을 이용하여 추정되었고 치환 범위를 결정하는 설계수법이 토질정보와 기상정보에 따라 제안되었다.

몇 가지 냉매를 사용한 이산화탄소 액화에 대한 비교 연구 (Comparative Research on the Carbon Dioxide Liquefaction Using Several Refrigerants)

  • In this study, we compared the performance of several refrigeration cycles using different refrigerants and utilizing the cold heat of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the liquefaction of carbon dioxide. The final conditions for the liquefied CO2 were set to -20℃ and 20 bar. The refrigerants used included R404a, ammonia, propane, and propylene using a vapor recompression refrigeration cycle. For the refrigeration cycle, the CO2 at room temperature and pressure was compressed in a two-stage compression process with an intermediate cooling stage using a refrigeration unit. To compare with the liquefaction process using refrigeration, we compressed the CO2 to 8 bar in a single compression stage and cooled it to around -50℃ using the cold heat of the LNG before liquefying it. Results showed that using ammonia as the refrigerant required the least amount of compressor power for the liquefaction process, and the heat transfer area of the evaporator was the smallest when using propylene as the refrigerant. Using the cold heat of LNG instead of refrigeration using R404a resulted in approximately 69% less energy consumption.

  • Vibration investigation of fluid-filled three layered cylindrical shells is studied here. A cylindrical shell is immersed in a fluid which is a non-viscous one. Shell motion equations are framed first order shell theory due to Love. These equations are partial differential equations which are usually solved by approximate technique. Robust and efficient techniques are favored to get precise results. Employment of the wave propagation approach procedure gives birth to the shell frequency equation. Use of acoustic wave equation is done to incorporate the sound pressure produced in a fluid. Hankel's functions of second kind designate the fluid influence. Mathematically the integral form of the Lagrange energy functional is converted into a set of three partial differential equations. It is also exhibited that the effect of frequencies is investigated by varying the different layers with constituent material. The coupled frequencies changes with these layers according to the material formation of fluid-filled FG-CSs. Throughout the computation, it is observed that the frequency behavior for the boundary conditions follow as; clamped-clamped (C-C), simply supported-simply supported (SS-SS) frequency curves are higher than that of clamped-simply (C-S) curves. Expressions for modal displacement functions, the three unknown functions are supposed in such way that the axial, circumferential and time variables are separated by the product method. Computer software MATLAB codes are used to solve the frequency equation for extracting vibrations of fluid-filled.
