의료서비스에서 SERVQUAL 활용에 대한 고찰 (Application of the SERVQUAL Scale to Health Care Services)

  • The purpose of this article was to review the basic concept of the SERVQUAL scale and to evaluate its usefulness in health care settings. The SERVQUAL scale was developed by Parasuraman et al. in 1988. Its purpose was to provide an instrument for measuring the quality of service that would apply across a broad range of services with minor modifications in the scale. The SERVQUAL scale is based on gap theory, which indicates the difference between consumers' expectations and their assessment of the actual performance of a specific firm. It has five dimensions to define service quality. These dimensions include: (1) tangibles' (2) reliability' (3) responsiveness' (4) assurance' (5) empathy. While the SERVQUAL scale has been tested in a number of health care settings. the findings have been mixed. So. health care marketers should be cautious in their use of the SERVQUAL scale. However, it is rare to find instruments that are as well validated as SERVQUAL appears to be. As well the SERVQUAL scale provides valuable information about the quality of health care service.

Impact of Service Quality on Behavioural Intention to Use Fin Tech Payment Services: An Extension of SERVEQUAL Model

  • The study aims to determine the impact of quality outcomes on behavior intentions in Financial Technology (FinTech) payment services. The study is focused on the development and testing of the impact of the SERVQUAL model on the TAM, i.e., Technology Acceptance Model for the measurement of the behavioral intention of users to use fintech payment services. The sample entails 578 specific survey responses from northern India from October to December 2022. The respondents were users of FinTech. The PLS-SEM technique was employed to explain the implementation process. Consequently, it discovered a significant relationship between the SERVQUAL models and the impact on behavioral intentions identified by TAM. The study will provide insight into the factors that impact the quality outcomes and adoption of Fintech payment services to the providers. The paper demystifies FinTech payment services in the range of perception of service quality outcomes and provides essential theories. The TAM model reflects the customer's sense of satisfaction, usefulness, and attitude. In contrast, the SERVQUAL model demonstrates the user's assessment of service quality outcomes such as quality, trust, security, and service quality positively affects behavioral intention in FinTech payment services.

Ubi-SERVQUAL을 활용한 시나리오상의 유비쿼터스 서비스 품질 평가 (Applying Ubi-SERVQUAL to Assessing the Quality of Ubiquitous Service Scenarios)

  • Nowadays, ubiquitous computing services begin to be suggested from a few domains such as supply chain, logistics, and location-based services. However, to what extent the services will be successful is hard to be estimated, mainly because a sophisticated service evaluation method focusing on the ubiquitous computing perspective has not been supplied. Hence, this paper alms to build a model to assess the quality of ubiquitous computing service. To do so, an amended model, Ubi-SERVQUAL, is applied to assess the service quality mentioned in ubiquitous computing scenarios. According to the Ubi-SERVQUAL, we found that an actual service with higher quality should consider reliability. responsiveness, assurance and empathy in order to increase customer satisfaction, computer system's intimacy with users and trust.

  • 1970년대 후반 북유럽을 중심으로 제조업 부문에서 시작된 서비스 품질 연구는 기업이 그들이 제공하는 서비스에 대하여 보다 많은 관심을 기울이게 되면서 활발해지게 되었다. 이러한 상황은 도서관도 예외는 아니어서 도서관의 경쟁력을 높이고 이용자들에게 보다 높은 수준의 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방면의 모색이 어느 때보다 절실하게 요구되고 있는 현실이다. 본 연구는 서비스 마케팅 분야의 대표적인 서비스 품질 평가 방법인 SERVQUAL과 SERVPERF를 적용하여 도서관의 서비스 품질을 평가하고 SERVQUAL과 SERVPERF중 어떠한 방법이 도서관 서비스 평가에 적합한 지를 평가하였다. 또한 서비스 품질과 이용자 민족간의 관계를 고찰하였다.

  • This research was conducted to indentify the differences In the quality of services between the Premier Executive hotels of Kangbuk area and those of Kangnam area in Seoul utilzing "SERVQUAL" a tool designed to evaluate service quality by Parasuraman, Zeithaml and Berry research team. Based on the review of the related literature, eight variables concerning hotel services were identified. The eight variables are hotel facilities, an employee′s neatness, parking facilities, facilities of guest rooms, trust, response, assurance, location and geographic environment of hotels. And then three hypotheses were developed using eight variabies and tested to find which Premier Executive hotels provide foreign customers better services, in Seoul. Conclusively, it is identified that the Premier Executive hotels in Kangnam area provide better service quality than those of Kangbuk area.

SERVQUAL을 활용한 한국고속철도의 고객만족도 평가분석 (Measuring Customer Satisfaction for KTX(Korea Train Express) Service using SERVQUAL)

  • The era of express train in Korea has come since April in 2004. The KTX(Korea Train Express) which has introduced the technology of TGV of France is regraded as good as the ICE of Germany or Shinkansen of Japanese in its hardware aspects. However there are still many things to be improved in its software aspects such as the quality of services, since the new express railway system is in the early beginning stage. To improve the quality of services, we should first measure and analyze the current level of the service quality. Using SERVQUAL model, the service level of KTX is measured and analyzed in this paper. Issues on how to improve the service quality are discussed based on the measurement and analysis.

  • 인터넷의 급속한 확산으로 가상공간에서의 활동이 증가함에 따라 인터넷을 기반으로 한 다양한 온라인 서비스가 제공되고 있으며, 이의 평가에 대한 많은 연구들이 수행되어 왔다. 그 중에서도 특히 온라인 서비스의 품질에 대한 평가지표와 품질측정 방법 등에 대해 많은 선행연구가 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 지금까지의 연구는 인터넷 서비스, 인스턴트 메신저, 게임, 포털 사이트 등 상업용 사이트에 대한 연구가 주를 이루고 있으며, 최근 널리 확산되고 있는 1인 미디어인 Weblog(Blog)에 대한 연구는 충분히 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Weblog 서비스의 품질과 이용자 만족도, 충성도 간의 구조적 관계에 대하여 분석하 고자 한다. 이를 위하여 기존의 문헌연구를 통하여 일반적인 서비스 품질요인들을 도출하고, 이를 Weblog의 특성에 맞게 재구성한 wb-SERVQUAL을 제시하였다. 제시된 wb-SERVQUAL을 이용하여 실증조사를 실시하였고, 사용자들의 Weblog 활동을 통하여 나타나는 Weblog 서비스 품질과 만족도, 충성도와의 관계를 분석하기 위하여 구조방정식 모형(SEM, Structural Equation Model)을 이용하였다. 이러한 실증연구 방법을 통하여 보다 효과적인 Weblog의 운영을 위한 실무적 함의를 제공하였다.

SERVQUAL을 적용한 일 보건소 이용자의 보건의료서비스 질적 수준 평가 (Evaluation of Health Care Services of Public Health Centers: SERVQUAL)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to identify the expectations and perceptions of health center users as to the services. SERVQUAL scale was used for measurement of service quality. The purpose of this study is to offer baseline data for improving the quality of health care services. Methods: The subjects were users of a health center in S City in Kangwon-do; 170 people participated in this study. Results: Regarding service quality depending on general characteristics, the following results were obtained. First, there were statistically significant differences depending on the gender, purpose of visit, and satisfaction in the health center. Second, the services fell short of the expectations. Third, the quality of 'safe, accurate services' scored the highest, while 'empathy and friendliness' scored the lowest. Fourth, 'internal, external environment of the health center' scored the highest, while 'courtesy of staff' scored the lowest. There were no statistically significant differences. Conclusion: Based on the findings, the following are suggested. First, employee education should be provided for development of empathy and interaction with patients; those are the weakest areas in the health care services. Second, a system allowing patients to understand and participate in their treatment should be developed.

커피전문점 제품 및 서비스 품질개선 방안 (Quality Improvement in Products and Services of Coffee Shops)

  • 커피전문점 시장 규모가 증가하고 커피에 대한 소비자의 수요가 나날이 확대되어 가고 있다. 본 논문은 사례 연구를 통해 커피전문점의 제품 및 서비스 품질개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 커피전문점 서비스에 대한 고객 요구사항을 파악하기 위하여 SERVQUAL을 채택하여 문제에 맞게 수정하였다. 고객의 요구사항을 제품 및 서비스 설계특성에 효과적으로 반영하고자 하는 노력으로 품질기능전개 기법을 도입하였다. 본 논문은 사례 연구를 통해 3개 커피전문점에 대한 시장 경쟁력을 먼저 파악하고, 품질기능전개를 이용하여 제품 및 서비스 설계특성의 품질개선 방안을 도출해내고자 한다.

The Continuous Service Usage Intention in the Web Analytics Services

  • The World Wide Web (WWW) has continued to grow at very rapid speed in both the sheer volume of traffic and size and the complexity of Web sites. Web Analytics Industry also has been growing rapidly. Web Analytics is to analyze web log files to discover accessing patterns of web pages. In this paper, we identify factors which can affect the continuous usage intention of a firm using services in web analytics services and empirically validate the relationships between the identified factors. For this purpose, we analyze 174 Korea firms. The analysis results show that the satisfaction is significantly associated with service quality and switching cost and the service usage period is not significantly associated with continuous service usage intention. We measure the service quality using SERVQUAL. It turn out that two dimensions of SERVQUAL, reliability and empathy are significantly associated with satisfaction, but another dimension of SERVQUAL, responsibility, is not. Finally, satisfaction is significantly associated with continuous service usage intention.
