The Influence of Service Training, Organizational Support, and Arbitration Support Among Large Superstore Workers' Work Performance and Emotional Labor (대형마트 종사자에 대한 서비스교육, 조직지지 및 중재지원이 감정노동 업무성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of service training and arbitration support on superstore workers' work performance. The conclusion could be summarized as follows. First, as a result of Hypothesis 1 that service training and arbitration support for superstore workers would significantly affect the factor of workers' emotional labor, when surface acting of emotion and frequency of expressing emotions were the dependent variable, only arbitration support was positively correlated. When emotional diversity was the dependent variable, there was a significantly positive relationship with service training. Second, for Hypothesis 2 that service training and arbitration support for superstore workers would significantly influence the workers' job satisfaction, it was found that only organizational support was significantly positive when wage satisfaction was the dependent variable. When job satisfaction was the dependent variable, service training and arbitration support were significantly correlated positively. Third, for Hypothesis 3 that service training and arbitration support for superstore workers would significantly affect the service delivery level when service responsiveness was the dependent variable, service training and arbitration support were significantly positive. When service expertise was the dependent variable, there was also a significantly positive relationship with service training and arbitration. On the other hand, all the three independent variables-service training, organizational support, and arbitration support-showed a significantly positive relationship when the willingness and effort of service was the dependent variable.

A Study on the Effect of Service Providers'Personality on Service Training Performance (서비스 제공자의 성격이 서비스 교육성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the future direction of service training performance and employment of service oriented employees by examining the element of personality which affects the results of service training performance. The empirical analysis of the study is as follows: First, regarding the effect of an employee's personality on the results of service training performance, ambition and prudence influenced their training performance. Second, according to the verification of whether the number of service training could affect the relation between personality and service training performance, it was found that ambition, sociability, and intellectual curiosity were moderated effect. Third, a study on whether the academic qualification of employees could affect the relation between personality and service training results showed that it had no relation with academic backgrounds.

An Analysis on Elementary School Teachers' Expectation and Reality for Science Experiment in-service Training Program (과학 실험 연수에 대한 초등 교사들의 기대와 실태 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze elementary school teacher' expectation and reality before and after science experiment in-service training program. The surveys for before and after in-service training were conducted among 231 elementary school teachers who participated for science experiment in-service training. 5 elementary school teachers who took part in surveys were interviewed after training. The results of this study are as follows: First, teachers' interest for science increased regardless of willingness to training participation through science experiment training. Second, discussion for science teaching strategies were not enough while the training recognized with experiments and lecture of instructors mainly. Third, teachers prefered alternative experiments and practical experience of experiments to lecture and basic experiments based on textbook. Forth, assessment of teachers in training must be improved.

Role-Play Training Factors that Positively Influence Training Satisfaction and Customer Service Orientation

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of effective role-play and training on employee education satisfaction and customer orientation. Evidence of the suggested objective is obtained by monitoring the effectiveness of hotel service training. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from 280 role-play sessions performed in a Korean Hotel and examined using a frequency analysis, reliability/validity assessments, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 19.0. Results - 1) Entrepreneurs and training instructors should enthusiastically apply service education in order to enhance each employee d evaluation in terms of customer satisfaction and customer orientation. 2) The most effective factor on customer satisfaction and orientation is the instructor's qualifications. 3) Since a higher level of education-training satisfaction leads to better customer orientation, effective education-training is essential to achieve this result. Conclusions - The study was able to obtain practical evidence that can confirm that service education-training through role-play positively affects employee customer service orientation. In future advanced research on training effects on customer orientation, various internal factors of a business should also be considered.

The Teachers' Perceptions and the Current Status of in-service Training for the Arts Gifted (예술영재 담당 교원 연수 현황 및 인식 조사)

  • This research examined to seek managing the way of effectiveness for training through the teachers' perceptions and the current status of in-service training for the gifted in arts. Conclusions based on the results of the analysis are as follow. First, it is analyzed that about 49.4 percent of respondents do not have any experiences of in-service training related to the gifted education in arts and there are also teachers who teach with no experiences of in-service training. Moreover, it is also analyzed that in-service training is generally being conducted with revolving to basic courses and the opportunities that teachers are able to develop programs for themselves are offered insufficiently. Second, in terms of management of in-service training, it is implied that accessibility to the training site and the active promotion of program, as well as sufficient provision of information, have to be considered in advance. Third, teachers have recognition that it is important to secure the diversification of training types, professionalism of instructors and managing directors for the effectiveness of in-service training. Forth, in terms of program, teachers show that the provision of educational programs, the diversification of training contents and the differentiated opportunities for developing programs according to basic, advanced courses, which can be applied to the field of gifted education in arts are most important. Furthermore, the convenience of transportation and the amenity of training facility are said to be important elements. Therefore, we suggest that, for increasing the effectiveness of in-service training for teachers of the gifted in arts, not only differentiated in-service training model and curriculum which can be applicable to the field, but also efficient environment suitable for the characteristics of the gifted education in arts.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify how and job satisfaction and job training affect service quality and to offer strategic tools for enhancing competitiveness of the food service business industry. To fulfill this purpose, this study utilized a factor analysis, frequence test, a reliability analysis and a covariance structure analysis. The results of the analyses show that one dimension such as "job training" influenced service quality. This means that restaurants should put more focus on job training to improve service quality for customers.

The problems and improvement directions of certificate in-service training for "Environment" subjects ("환경"과 부전공 자격연수의 문제점과 개선방향)

  • The quality of environmental education in school depends on the quality of environment teacher, who develops his/her ability through avalible courses such as in-service training and communication et al. This study was performed with the questionnaire to 179 teachers who participated in certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects on winter of '95 and summer of '96. The questionnaire included 28 items, which could be categorized 5 parts : the environmental consciousness of teachers, their awareness of environmental education in schools, the reason of participation, the limits and requirements of learning field, avalible teaching and learning methods. The improvements and suggestions derived from this study are summarized as follows: First, it is necessary to differentiate in-service training concerning environment, because the motive of teacher's participation is diverse and is not always suitable to the purpose of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects. Second, the teaching contents and programs of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects have to be various according to the characteristics and major subjects of teachers. Third, it deserves special emphasis that the field trips and survey for the experiential study in field is supplemented in the teaching contents and programs of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects. Also, it is necessary to strengthen the environmental ethics and philosophy in the teaching contents and programs.

The Effects of Recruit Training with Havruta on the Satisfaction and Achievement of Trainees (하브루타를 적용한 신병훈련의 효과가 훈련병의 만족도 및 성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The army is concerned about the decrease in enlistment resources due to the low birth rate and the weakening of military combat power due to the shortening of the military service period. Now, the military's quantitative growth is no longer limited and it is a time for qualitative growth. To this end, the Army has been applying the Israeli learning method Havruta to recruit training to improve the quality of training since 2019. After applying Havruta, several scholars have studied the effect of recruit training applying Havruta. As a result, it was verified that recruit training applying Havruta improves the inner motive, creativity, and military service value of trainees. This study investigated how trainees' inner motive, creativity, and military service value affect their satisfaction and achievement. In addition, it was studied whether the effect of recruit training applied with Havruta on achievement differs according to the educational background (high school graduate or higher) and military family (professional soldiers within 4th degree) of the trainees. To this end, a survey was conducted on 472 recruits, and the structural relationship between each variable and the moderating effect were analyzed using the structural equation model. As a result of the study, military service value did not affect training satisfaction. Also, there was a difference in the effect of creativity on training satisfaction according to the educational background of new recruits, and there was a difference in the effect of military service value on training satisfaction and training achievement according to military family members. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the improvement of the army's recruit training development plan and effective training system.

  • Service training influences on students' attitude, working behavior, and the improvement of service performance skill. To raise self-efficacy and service orientation of students, it is necessary to create and maintain a motivating environment. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, related theories are researched and analyzed through theoretical consideration and in order to understand the relationship between them, questionnaires about service training, self-efficacy and service orientation of students were prepared. The statistics analysis of the collected materials was made by use of the SPSS-WINDOWS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0 statistics package. When it comes to the summary of the results through the empirical analysis of this study, it is as follows: First, the service training have been positively effective to the students' self-efficacy. Second, the service training has been positively effective to the students' service orientation. Third, the students' self-efficacy has been positively effective to the service outcome orientation and service process one.
