  • This article is to analyze the service efficiency of public sector using Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). We tried to measure the public service quality and overall satisfaction by using several DEA models, degree of combination and top2box which is a little bit different methodology from traditional ones. We used CCR, Super-efficiency and Slack based measure(SBM) model in DEA to measure public service efficiency of the 16 public institutions(7 City Halls and 9 Provincial offices). Since the traditional method based on the measurement model(CCR, BCC) has the fundamental problems without taking account of the existence of slacks inputs and outputs in several efficient units, we suggest to measure the exact amount of efficiency and inefficiency of the public sector and rank analysis many efficient units exactly through the slacks-based measure model(SBM)

  • Rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHD) is caused by RHD virus (RHDV) and is one of the most fatal diseases of rabbits. Acute death of rabbits occurred in a farm located in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea. The virus was isolated and confirmed as RHDV based on reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and hemagglutination assay (HA), and the isolate was designated as KV0801. The nucleotide sequence of the complete VP60 gene of KV0801 was determined and the corresponding amino acid sequence was deduced. Molecular analysis showed that the KV0801 isolate can be classified as a pandemic antigenic variant strain, RHDVa. The VP60 nucleotide sequence and deduced amino acid homology between KV0801 and other Korean isolate, RHF89, which was isolated in 1988, were 92.1 and 94.3%, respectively. The pathogenicity of the KV0801 isolate at an HA titer ranging from 16,384 to 0.16 HA units was evaluated in five-month-old SFP rabbits. The rabbits inoculated with KV0801 isolate containing more than 1.63 HA units died within six days of inoculation. These results suggest that a highly pathogenic RHDVa is circulating in the rabbit populations of Korea.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop an untact visit service based on an application that can be utilized in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) during COVID-19. Methods: This study adopted the double diamond process of service design comprising the discovery, defining, and development stages. Results: We developed an untact visit service based on an application that considered the child's status, schedule, photo, and video messages, and so on. Moreover, we derived a service flow regarding the required roles and the type of flow shown between each stakeholder. Conclusion: Considering the ongoing pandemic, the untact visit service is designed to increase rapport and participation of parents, share the child's information in real-time, and provide one-stop service without increasing healthcare providers' work. It will be a useful visit service that can be applied and evaluated in various hospital settings and the PICU.

  • Service-oriented computing systems have been issued by their properties of reducing software development time and effort by reusing functional service units. The reusability of services can effectively promote through loose coupling between services. But strong associations of object-oriented systems such as inheritance and aggregation create a rather tight coupling between objects. The component-based systems without inheritance and aggregation create a loose coupling between components. Thus components provide service realization at runtime using the functionality provided by their interfaces. Therefore legacy component-based systems need to have service-oriented computing concept in order to support functional service units efficiently. Also, conventional methods for service-oriented computing system have not suggested the clear classification of service layers, the clear service identification guideline introducing service layers and a service mapping method between serviceces of each layer. Therefore we suggest the service classification and the identification guideline of business view and implementation view introducing layers and propose a mapping between two views. That is, we research service layers, service identification, diversified service sizes and a service mapping method between services of each layer. This can be applied to legacy component-based system to extend to the service-oriented computing system.
