웹 서비스의 선택과 조건 분기에 관한 연구 (A Study on Web Services Selection and Conditional Branches)

  • IT Services market is growing rapidly in the business industry and SOA-based Web Services have been introduced as an effective vehicle for the integration of enterprise-wide applications within organizations. The number of publicly available Web Services is ever increasing recently in a variety of areas, and as the number of public Web Services increases, there will be many Web Services with the same functionality. These services, however, will vary in their QoS properties, such as price, response time and availability, and it is very important to choose a right service while satisfying given QoS constraints. This paper addresses the issue of selecting composite Web Services which involves conditional branches in business processes. It is essential to have any conditional branches satisfy the global QoS constraints at service selection phase, since the branches are chosen to execute at run-time dynamically. We proposed service selection procedures for basic structure of conditional branches and explained them by examples. Experiments were conducted to analyze the impact of the number of candidate services and service types on the time of finding service solutions.

  • 차등화 서비스는 패킷 표식에 근거하여 IP 패킷의 서비스 품질을 보장하는 기법으로 패킷들은 사용자의 요구에 따라 우선 순위가 다르게 부여된다. 혼잡한 시기에는 낮은 우선순위의 패킷들이 높은 우선순위의 패킷들보다 더 많이 폐기된다. 패킷에 표식을 달기 위한 방법을 결정하기 위해 다양한 정책 모델들이 사용된다. 본 논문은 3 색 표식을 갖는 타임 슬라이딩 윈도우의 정책 모델을 사용하는 차등화 서비스의 성능을 고찰하였다. NS-2를 이용한 실험 결과, 차등화 서비스를 적용하여 사용자가 요구하는 서비스 품질을 제공할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Salmonella is one of the most common bacteria that causes heavy losses in swine industry and major causative pathogen of food poisoning in public health. Various methods for the identification of Salmonella such as Gram staining, agglutination test, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), polymerase chain reaction (PCR) have been used. Several studies have demonstrated that Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time of Flight (MALDI TOF) Mass Spectrometry (MS) identification is an efficient and inexpensive method for the rapid and routine identification of isolated bacteria. In this study, MALDI TOF MS could provide rapid, accurate identification of Salmonella spp. from swine compared with end point PCR and real time PCR.

  • To implement a cloud game service platform supporting multiple users and devices based on real-time streaming, there are many technical needs, including game screen and sound capturing, audio/video encoding in real time created by a high-performance server-generated game screen, and real-time streaming to client devices, such as low-cost PCs, smart devices, and set-top boxes. We therefore present a game service platform for the running and management of the game screen, as well as running the sound on the server, in which the captured and encoded game screen and sound separately provide client devices through real-time streaming. The proposed platform offers Web-based services that allow game play on smaller end devices without requiring the games to be installed locally.

  • 본 논문에서의 패킷 스케줄러는 무선 채널 환경에서 실시간 비디오 트래픽과 비실시간 인터넷 트래픽을 동시에 서비스한다. 그리고 실시간 트래픽에 대한 지연을 감소 시기키 위하여 누적카운터와 SIR값을 동시에 고려하는 새로운 패킷 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 알고리즘에서는 실시간 트래픽을 비실시간 트래픽에 비하여 우선적으로 처리한다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 고찰할 때, 실시간 비디오 트래픽과 같이 지연성능에 민감한 서비스의 경우에는 AC(Accumulation Counter) 방식이 기존의 M-LWDF방식보다 더 적합한 알고리즘으로 관찰되었다. 본 논문에서는 HSDPA 시스템과 유사한 구조를 채택하여 시간 축으로는 프레임 주기를 가지며 동시에 코드 축으로는 OVSF 코드를 사용할 수 있는 구조를 채택하여 모의 실험을 수행하였다.

  • The increasing use of Ethernet-TCP/IP network in industry has led to the growing interest in its reliability in real-time applications such as automated manufacturing systems and process control systems. However, stochastic behavior of its medium access scheme makes it inadequate for time-critical applications. In order to guarantee hard real-time communication service in Ethernet-TCP/IP network, we proposed an algorithm running over TCP/IP protocol stack without modification of protocols. In this paper, we consider communication services guaranteeing deadlines of periodic real-time messages over MAC protocols that have unbounded medium access time. We propose a centralized token scheduling scheme for multiple access networks. The token is used to allow a station to transmit its message during the time amount that is appended to the token. The real-time performance of the proposed algorithm has been described.

An Algorithm for the Traveling Salesperson Problem with Time Windows and Lateness Costs

  • This paper presents a model and dynamic programming based algorithm for the Traveling Salesperson Problem with Time Windows (TSPTW). The main difference of our model compared with the previous ones lies in that the time windows we are concerned are far more flexible and realistic. In the typical TSPTW, the service at a node must begin within the time grid called the time window that is defined by the earliest and the latest time to start the service at the node. But, in real business practices, a lateness cost is usually penalized rather than the service is prohibited at all when a vehicle arrives after the latest time. Considering this situation, we propose a model with a new time window that allows an arrival after the latest time and penalizes the late arrival by charging a lateness cost. An algorithm introduced for the model is extensively tested to verify the accuracy and efficiency.

요인별 치과 의료서비스 질이 환자만족과 서비스 가치에 미치는 영향 (The effects of the quality of dental care service by factors on the patient satisfaction and service value)

  • The purpose of this study is to forecast patient satisfaction and service value through the staged regression analysis of the relation between each factor and its satisfaction and service value, following the measurement of the quality of dental care service that patients recognize. And a self-administered survey was used for this study. The subjects of this survey were 394 outpatients of dental clinics located in K city in the period from Dec. 5, 2004 to Feb. 19, 2005, the questionnaire was composed of a total of 31 questions to measure the quality of overall dental care service(22 questions), the patient satisfaction(6 questions) and the service value(3 questions). The 7 points Likert scale ranging from "very poor"(1-point) to "very high"(7-point) was used for these questions The results of study could be summarized as follows: 1. The most useful index to predict patient satisfaction turned out to be "internal environment", followed by "treatment process and waiting time", "dentist", "external environment", and "dental hygienist". 2. The service value had a significant effect on the "internal environment", "dentist", "treatment process and waiting time". 3. The most useful index to predict the service value turned out to be "treatment process and waiting time", followed by "internal environment" and "dentist". Today, the quality of dental care service is becoming a prime concern since it is directly connected to a matter of survival of medical service organizations. Dental clinics desperately need patient-oriented marketing strategies in order to actively cope with changing medical environment. They also need to thoroughly examine possible measures to maximize the service value by establishing a variety of service strategies which can promote service quality that patients recognize.

  • This study investigates the customer satisfaction based on the various levels of many factors such as age, sex, period, motive, preference between wired and mobile service, frequency, and time. Customer satisfaction is measured by 13 dimensions. MANOVA reveals that preference between wired and mobile commerce service, mobile service frequency, mobile e-mail service frequency, wired Internet usage frequency, and mobile Internet usage time have a significant effect on the overall satisfaction. Transmission speed, fare, and ease of operation of mobile Internet service turn out to be improved for better customer satisfaction, the IMT-2000 service in particular.

인터넷을 통한 원격환자 모니터링 (Remote Patient Monitoring through the Internet)

  • In this paper, we present an intensive patient monitoring service through the Internet, which enables medical doctors to watch their patients in a remote site, to monitor their vital signs and to give them some advices for first-aid treatment. The service consists of three service objects: Monitoring Information Service(MIS), Vital Sign Monitoring Service(VSMS) and Multimedia Consulting (MCS). Through the MIS, medical doctors can get information about the patients currently under monitoring, including their names, ages, genders, symptoms, current main complaints and current locations. The VSMS enables medical doctors to monitor in real-time patients' vital signs such as electrocardiogram (ECG), respiration, temperature, blood oxygen saturation (SpO$_{2}$), invasive blood pressure (IBP), and non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP). It also generates alarms when the patients are likely to be in a critical situation. The MCS provides a real-time multimedia desktop conferencing facility for watching patients and instructing attendants to administer some first-aid treatment. We carried out some experiments according to two different scenarios. The intensive patient monitoring service was functioning well in a 100Base-T Ethernet LAN environment.
