As an effort to improve the employment of graduates from fashion.related departments, this study purposed to develop a course that may contribute to a broader range of employment, focusing on CS, which has been overlooked by fashion.related departments, among various job categories in the fashion industry. In order to determine the necessity of the new course, we surveyed job categories that enrolled students wanted to have after graduation and graduates'opinions on and responses to the opening of the new course. In addition, for the efficient design of the course, this study extracted the practically applicable goals and contents of the course from basic theories in previous CS .related studies in the area of fashion studies and from interviews with field workers in related businesses. Through these multi.sided approaches, this study proposed a fashion CS course as a major applied subject with an hours' theory and two hours' practice classes, and suggested a weekly teaching plan of 15 weeks. This study is meaningful in that it expanded the scope and variety of employment for students of fashion.related departments, and developed a course that can be immediately applicable to any CS.related jobs. The results of this study are expected to expand work areas for graduates from fashion.related departments in the fashion industry.
This study aims to investigate the effect of core-self evaluation on work-family facilitation(work to family facilitation, family to work facilitation), job satisfaction and turnover intention among non-regular workers in Korean food service industry. In order to examine the hypothesized relationships, frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and covariance structure analysis were performed using SPSS(10.0) and AMOS(4.0). The results showed that core-self evaluation had a significantly positive effect on both of work to family facilitation and family to work facilitation. In the case of relationship between work-family facilitation and job satisfaction, only family to work facilitation had a positive effect on job satisfaction while there was no evidence of a significant relationship from work to family facilitation to job satisfaction. Additionally, job satisfaction had a significantly negative effect on turnover intention. The article concluded with managerial implications for managerial and future research directions.

This research proposes design and construction of Korean type SWC based on user oriented smart work system. To achieve this proposal, the research suggested improvements of related law, changes to working environment, and strengthening information security for users, stronger Korean ICT based; the study investigated for an efficient and suitable Korean type SWC by analyzing Korean government plans and foreign developed countries' cases. The user-oriented smart work service platform suggested in this study aims to offer a solution to national crisis and establish infrastructure to knowledge-industry and creative-industry by collaborative smart work environment of 'Context Awareness' and 'Tangible User Interface'. As a result, smart work suggests methods to produce creative work by IT workers and efficient work environment for better standing in world competition. In conclusion, Korean SWC system is proved to be superior in satisfaction rate at 75.41%, 20.18% higher than average score shown in 5 categories in 5 countries from USA, Japan, and EU's which was 55.23%.
Until recently, self-employment workers are often excluded from labor market studies. Most relevant studies has focused on the determinants of entry into self-employment. However, the self-employment is highly exposed to poverty risk although they are working. Despite that, relatively little is known about the economic severity of the self-employed. This study uses data from the Korea Welfare Panel Study to examine the situation of the self-employed's in-work poverty and the determinants of in-work poverty among them. Major findings are as follows. First, self-employed people experience 3.5 times higher in-work poverty risk than employees. Especially, the ratio of own-account self-employed people living below the poverty line is similar with that of even precarious employees. Second, the extent of poverty of self-employment is more serious. Third, the proportion of self-employed among working poor is about 53% although self-employed workers are composed of only about 24% among working people. Fourth, temporary employees and self-employed people are more likely to be poor than full time employees according to logistic regression. It is statistically significant. It implies that it is desirable to regard the self-employed as the policy target group along with temporary employees. Fifth, the ratio of in-work poverty of self-employed aged 40-64 whose education level is low and the self-employed aged 40-64 who work in low-skilled service sector are higher than that of the other group. It implies that measures to alleviate their economic difficulties are urgently needed.

This study identified the impacts of organizational commitment on medical service reduction rates by lifestyles of medical institution workers with a medium of environmental factors in a medical institution, and it conducted a survey targeting 300 medical institution workers in Jeolla-do, South Korea. The results are as follows. First, there was a significant difference in an organizational commitment by sociodemographic characteristics based on age, academic career, gender, marital status, occupational description, monthly earnings, the years of employment, and the type of hospital. Second, there was a significant difference in environmental factors by sociodemographic characteristics based on marital status, the years of employment, and the type of hospital. Third, there was a significant difference in the inpatient reduction rate based on the occupational description, years of employment, and the type of hospital. In the outpatient reduction rate, a significant difference was shown based on age, marital status, occupational description, the years of employment, and the type of hospital. Fourth, when analyzing the relationship between organizational commitment, environmental factors, and the reduction rate, there was a significant positive correlation between inpatient reduction rate and outpatient reduction rate. Fifth, when analyzing the impacts on the inpatient reduction rate by deploying organizational commitment and environmental factors at the same time, it was shown that the environmental factors mediated partially in organizational commitment and inpatient reduction rate. In the case of outpatient reduction rate, it was shown that the environmental factors mediated completely in organizational commitment and outpatient reduction rate. The present study is aimed to contribute to providing the baseline data for an efficient operational plan and effective workforce management of medical institutions.
The current research investigates the basic philosophy that would serve as a foundation for the development of the service economy. In particular, the current work suggests that the Korean traditional philosophy fits the philosophy of the service economy because of the relational nature of the Eastern culture (vs. Western culture). Therefore, it is suggested that trough manifestation of the Korean traditional philosophy, the service economy would be invigorated. The yin-yang and the Two Taegeuk do not emphasize the role of human, and thus, a new philosophy incorporating this aspect needs closer attention. Therefore, the Korean traditional philosophy, structured in a Three Taegeuk framework could serve as the foundation for the development of the service economy. The Three Taegeuk framework relates to the harmonization, horizontality, bi-directionality, and relational aspects of the service industries. For example, human serving the agent role in the society resembles the current service economy where service workers and customers serve important roles in value creation. Taken together, the current research suggests that the Korean traditional philosophy serve as an important foundation for the development of the service economy.
This study attempts to effectively manage service orientation for deluxe hotel buffet restaurant workers in the kitchen organization. For this, the organization's service orientation in the relationship between employees' job satisfaction and organization performance was empirically tested. A survey was conducted to 300 restaurant employees working in the buffet kitchen of deluxe hotels in seoul. 276 copies of questionnaire were selected to take a regression analysis using Amos 16.0. The results of the test are as follows. First, the effect of service orientation on employee's job satisfaction showed that service leadership and service system of service orientation were significant factors about it. Second, hypothesis testing for the effect of service orientation on organization performance showed that human resource management of service orientation was a significant factor about it. The effect of employee's job satisfaction on organizational performance was significant as shown in previous studies. In conclusion, service leadership and service system should be a priority in order to improve service orientation and job satisfaction because employee's job satisfaction and organization performance have a direct relationship.

The purpose of this study was to investigate salinity and sodium content in foods served at industry foodservice operations in selected workplaces in Daegu. The researcher collected 1,142 food items categorized into 22 menu item groups from lunch samples served at 100 industry foodservice operations and measured the salinity of the food items, and calculated sodium and salt contents from the salinity. In terms of salt content of one meal at each workplace, 46% of the meals were 3-<5 g, and only 3.0% of them were 1.7 g or less, which is one third of the daily target intake (5 g) presented by the Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans. In terms of sodium content, 35.3% of the meals were 1,000-< 1,500 mg (most), and only 2.5% of them were 667 mg or less, which is, again, one third of the daily target intake. As to the salinity of each menu item group, side dishes such as sauces, kimchi, seasoned vegetables, hardboiled foods, and stir-fried foods were significantly higher, but the sodium content was not higher, because their quantity per serving was small. The salinity of foods with liquid such as stews, noodles, soups, and broths was relatively lower, but the sodium content was higher, because their quantity per serving was large. This indicates that an education program should be developed for foodservice workers who prepare food for the workplace regarding the development and promotion of various menus for reducing sodium content, in order to reduce sodium content in meals served by food service in the workplace.
Since the recent COVID-19 pandemic, countries have been strengthening trade protection for their security, and the importance of securing strategic materials, such as food, is drawing attention. In addition to the cultural aspects, the global preference for food produced in Korea is increasing because of the Korean Wave. Thus, the Korean food industry can be developed into a high-value-added export food industry. Currently, Korea has a low self-sufficiency rate for foodstuffs apart from rice. Korea also suffers from problems arising from population decline, aging, rapid climate change, and various animal and plant diseases. It is necessary to develop technologies that can overcome the production structures highly dependent on the outside world of food and foster them into export-type system industries. The global agricultural industry-related technologies are actively being modified via data accumulation, e.g., environmental data, production information, and distribution and consumption information in climate and production facilities, and by actively expanding the introduction of the latest information and communication technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence. However, long-term research and investment should precede the field of living organisms. Compared to other industries, it is necessary to overcome poor production and labor environment investment efficiency in the food industry with respect to the production cost, equipment postmanagement, development tailored to the eye level of field workers, and service models suitable for production facilities of various sizes. This paper discusses the flow of domestic and international technologies that form the core issues of the site centered on the 4th Industrial Revolution in the field of agriculture, livestock, and fisheries. It also explains the environmental awareness production technologies centered on sustainable intelligence platforms that link climate change responses, optimization of energy costs, and mass production for unmanned production, distribution, and consumption using the unstructured data obtained based on detection and growth measurement data.
Given that SME workers are the driving force of national competitiveness and the basis and cornerstone of the industry, it is meaningful to study workers' job satisfaction and the factors that affect job satisfaction. In addition to variables related to corporate competitiveness and organizational justice, this study introduced variables such as environmental(E) activities, social(S) activities, and governance(G) activities, which th national government uses as major management evaluation indicators. Therefore, a literature study and empirical analysis were conducted on how self-efficacy affects job satisfaction when workers are faced with a changed work environment. To conduct this study, 300 copies of data were collected from workers in small and medium-sized enterprises and used for analysis. For data analysis, the SPSS statistical program (Ver. 25.0) was used. The study finds, first, that product or service quality and employee competency among corporate competitiveness had a significant positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. Secondly, among ESG management activities, social(S) activities and governance(G) activities were found to have a significant positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. Third, among organizational justice, distribution justice and procedural justice were found to have a positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. Fourth, self-efficacy was found to mediate the effect of product or service quality, employee competency, social(S) and governance(G) activities among ESG management activities, and procedural justice among organizational justice on job satisfaction. The academic value of this study is that it empirically analyzed the factors that ESG management activities affect workers' jobs,. As a result, it was confirmed that workers were satisfied with their jobs by actively showing interest in social(S) activities and governance(G) activities among ESG management activities and participating in corporate management. In addition, workers sensitive to changes in the external environment can become satisfied with their jobs through self-efficacy when SMEs actively enhance corporate competitiveness, execute ESG management activities, and provide a fair organizational culture. Finally, this study suggests that there's a possibility of improving the competitiveness of SMEs through a virtuous cycle created by a change in perception of job conversion and a decrease in turnover.
