This paper analyzes performance measures of a Bluetooth_based mobile home network system. The home network system consists of terminals with Bluetooth interfaces, access points (AP), a home PC, and a gateway A mobile host in wireless terminals uses Mobile IP for supporting the mobility This paper considers four types of data traffic, which are new connection traffic, handoff traffic, Internet data traffic, and control data traffic and suggests a queueing system model of the home network system, where the AP and the home PC are modeled as M/G/1 with four priority queues and the gateway is modeled as M/G/1 with a single queue The generation rate and service time of individual traffic influence their performance measures. Based ell the suggested model, we propose the elapsed time of data traffic in terms of the number of cells, the number of Home PCs, arrival rates of four types of traffic and the service rates of AP/Home PCs/Gateway To analyze influences on the elapsed time with respect to arrival rate of four types of traffic, some examples are given.

There are already many researches providing u-Healthcare service, but they have left problems to be improved. First of all, the transmission range between sensor nodes and the gateway are restricted. Hence, patients feel uncomfortable because of they need to possess or locate closed to a gateway all the time when they aggregates their medical data. Also, the existing systems have not considered life environment that is important to analyze patient's diseases. Moreover, a guardian need to located close to patient or possess a mobile device that monitors a patients' status in real time when they are in outdoor. In this research, we present multi-hop packet transfer algorithm and compilation of life environment which help improve the problem of the existing researches. Likewise, we designed and implemented a medical information database and a real-time web monitoring system that manage patients' personal history and monitor a patients' status in real time. In this paper, we design and implement the u-Healthcare system based on mobile environment and we present a result when we tested our u-Healthcare system in scenario environment.

서로 다른 네트워크 환경을 갖는 도메인 사이에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 여러 가지 측면에 대한 기능 대응이 이루어져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 기반의 DAVIC(Digital Audio Visual Council) 서비스와 인터넷 AV 서비스를 연동하기 위하여, 프로토콜 변환 및 QoS(Quality of Service) 적응을 지원하는 연동 게이트웨이를 구현하였다. 구현된 연동 게이트웨이는 ATM 망에서 DSM-CC (Digital Storage Media Command & Control)를 기반으로 서비스되는 스트림을 RTSP(Real-Time STreaming Protocol)로 제어할 수 있으며, RTP(Real-Time Transport Protocol)를 이용하여 스트림을 전달한다. 또한 네트워크 대역폭 변화를 고려한 스트림 전달을 위해 QoS 모니터링과 MPEG 필터링을 이용한 QoS 적응 기능을 제공한다.

This paper presents a queuing analysis model of a PC-based software router supporting IPv6-IPv4 translation for residential gateway. The proposed models are M/G/1/K or MMPP-2/G/1/K by arrival process of the software PC router. M/G/1/K is a model of normal traffic and MMPP-2/G/1/K is a model of burst traffic. In M/G/1/K, the arriving process is assumed to be a Poisson process, which is independent and identically distributed. In MMPP-2/G/1/K, the arriving process is assumed to be two-state Markov Modulated Poisson Process (MMPP) which is changed from one state to another state with intensity. The service time distribution is general distribution and the service discipline of the server is processor sharing. Also, the total number of packets that can be processed at one time is limited to K. We obtain performance metrics of PC-based software router for residential gateway such as system sojourn time blocking probability and throughput based on the proposed model. Compared to other models, our model is simpler and it is easier to estimate model parameters. Validation results show that the model estimates the performance of the target system.

모든 사물이 지능화되고 인터넷과 연결되는 IoT의 시대가 열리고 있다. IoT 생태계 구축과 활성화를 위해서는 개방형 IoT 서비스 플랫폼이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 개방형 IoT 서비스 플랫폼을 위해 오픈 소스 하드웨어인 라즈베리파이를 활용하는 게이트웨이를 개발하였다. 개발한 게이트웨이는 다양한 무선인터페이스를 지원하고 사물인터넷 표준 메시징 프로토콜인 MQTT를 탑재하였다. 게이트웨이의 주요 기능을 검증하기 위하여 IoT 테스트베드를 구축하고 동작을 확인하였다.

본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 헬스케어와 지능형 홈 네트워크 시스템을 위한 전력선 통신과 Zigbee 통신 기반의 통합 게이트웨이를 구현하였다. 전체 시스템은 센서, 통합 게이트웨이, Zigbee 모듈, 전력선 모뎀으로 구성되어있다. 헬스케어 센서에 의해서 수집된 데이터는 통합 게이트웨이에서 저장 및 분석하여 헬스케어제어장치로 전송할 수 있으며, 의료시설 및 각 가정에 쾌적한 환경을 제공하기 위하여 가전 기기를 제어한다. 구현된 통합 게이트웨이는 다양한 유비쿼터스 헬스케어와 지능형 홈 네트워크를 지원할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 헬스케어를 위한 Zigbee/PLC 게이트웨이 시스템을 구현하였다. 게이트웨이를 이용하여 Zigbee 통신과 전력선 통신 간의 원활한 정보 교환을 위한 프로토콜 변환 알고리즘을 설계 및 구현하였다. Zigbee/PLC 게이트웨이 시스템은 센서 모듈, Zigbee 모듈, 전력선 모뎀, 게이트웨이로 구성되며, 움직이는 물체가 무선 센서에 감지되면 Zigbee 모듈을 통해 게이트웨이로 전송된다. Zigbee/PLC 게이트웨이에서는 전송받는 데이터를 분석하여, 실시간 모니터링을 위해 전력선 통신망을 통해 외부로 전송된다. 구현된 시스템은 독거노인 활동량 분석, 방범 시스템, 홈 네트워크 서비스 등 다양한 분야에서 활용가능하다.

유치원 통학을 위한 서비스 플랫폼은 비콘 장치, 버스에 장착되는 게이트웨이, 이동통신망 네트워크, 그리고 애플리케이션 서버로 구성된다. 본 논문에서 유치원 통학 서비스의 필요성을 이해하고, 유치원 원아의 비콘 규격 인식 자를 접속하고, 게이트웨이 리소스트리 기능들을 설계한다. 서비스 연동을 위해서, 통학 알림 기능이 부모님의 휴대폰 앱을 통하여 처리된다. 서비스 플랫폼은 등록된 비콘 데이터 수집과 운영 관리 기능들을 확인 할 수 있다.

As the Internet service is expanding rapidly, portal sites, a gateway tn the net, are attracting increasing attention these days. As the Internet service has expanded rapidly, so has the interest for portal sites,, which serve as a gateway to the net. Despite the tendency, however, research on a measure by which to evaluate the quality of portal sites or development of such measures has not been fully pursued. As online services, faced with profitability, are considering 'charge per view', the development of a set of quality evaluation measures for portal services will prove to become a valuable instrument in constructing competitive strategies that are vital for survival and growth of a firm. In that regard, this study aims to develop a set of evaluation measures for Internet portal sites by empirically investigating the most common offline measures for quality of services, SERVQUAL, retail SERVQUAL and other evaluation measures for IT-related online services. Moreover, the study offers the strategic implications of the defined measures.

유ㆍ무선 및 방송 그리고 인터넷의 망 통합을 염두에 둔 차세대 통신망은 다양한 유형의 단말기 보급과 더불어 새로운 서비스 창출에 대한 필요성이 대두되었고 인터넷 기반의 응용 소프트웨어를 개발하는 방법에 대한 진화가 정보 기술 쪽에서 진행되고 있다. 소프트웨어를 통합하여 비용을 절감하며, 서로 다른 도메인에서 개발된 기능들이 결합된 새로운 응용들을 개발하는 방법론으로서 Web Service 개념이 도입되고 있다. 인터넷에서의 Web Service 기술 적용 시도에 비슷한 시점에 전기통신 분야에서도 표준화 기관들인 ETSI. 3GPP 및 Parlay를 중심으로 통신망 자원들을 사용하기 쉽도록 개방하여 통신 시장에서의 잠재적 신규서비스들을 창출하려는 활발한 노력의 결과 개방형 Parlay/OSA API들을 표준으로 규격화하였으며 최근에 전기통신 분야에 친숙하지 않은 IT 개발자들을 통신 시장에 대거 흡수하여 IT 기술을 전기통신 분야에 접목시키려는 노력의 일환으로 Parlay X Working Group은 Parlay/OSA API들을 더욱 추상화시키기 위한 시도를 하고 있다. ［9］ 본 논문에서는 Parlay Gateway 와 Parlay X Gateway 그리고 Web Service를 개발하여 웹 서비스 기반의 개방형 통신 서비스의 활성화방안에 대해서 기술한다.
