  • Recently, technology using a PC and the personal server efficiently has been highlighted in accordance with the historical background. Solutions for large enterprises and public institutions and PC and personal server management are being commercialized for fee. Paying a fee for PC and personal server management being a burden and commercialized solutions include a function that does not require. In this paper, proposed the PC and personal server management system include monitoring that cpu, hdd, memory, respond speed. It expects to extend the PC and service life is available without charge through the free distribution of the burden. The Development program and application is available for free from the android market and on-line. Server agent program of the proposed system operates based on a single-threaded system. That is low load and the low functional burden on the server.

Storage System Performance Enhancement Using Duplicated Data Management Scheme (중복 데이터 관리 기법을 통한 저장 시스템 성능 개선)

  • Traditional storage server suffers from duplicated data blocks which cause an waste of storage space and network bandwidth. To address this problem, various de-duplication mechanisms are proposed. Especially, lots of works are limited to backup server that exploits Contents-Defined Chunking (CDC). In backup server, duplicated blocks can be easily traced by using Anchor, therefore CDC scheme is widely used for backup server. In this paper, we propose a new de-duplication mechanism for improving a storage system. We focus on efficient algorithm for supporting general purpose de-duplication server including backup server, P2P server, and FTP server. The key idea is to adapt stride scheme on traditional fixed block duplication checking mechanism. Experimental result shows that the proposed mechanism can minimize computation time for detecting duplicated region of blocks and efficiently manage storage systems.

Efficient Buffer Coherency Management for a Shared-Disk based Multiple-Server DBMS (공유 디스크 기반의 다중 서버 DBMS를 위한 효율적인 버퍼 일관성 관리)

  • In a multiple-server DBMS using the share-disk model, when a server process updates data, the updated ones are not immediately reflected to the buffers of the other server processes. Thus, the other server processes may read invalid data. In this paper, we propose a novel method to solve this problem. In this method the server process stores the identifiers and timestamps of the pages that have been updated during a transaction into the coherency volume when the transaction commits. Then, the server process invalidates its buffers of the pages updated by the other server processes by accessing the coherency volume when the lock is acquired, and, subsequently, read the up-to-date versions of the pages from disk. This method needs only a very small coherency volume and shows a good performance because the amount of data that need to be accessed is very small.

A Management method of Load Balancing among Game Servers based on Distributed Server System Using Map Balance Server (분산형 서버 구조 기반 Map 밸런스 서버를 이용한 게임 서버 간 부하 관리 방법)

  • Generally, In distributed online game server system, game maps are processed separately by means of dividing into several unit blocks. But the keeping normal distribution of user in game map is very difficult because preferences of game users are not same according to individual user's private character. For this reason, if the huge number of users concentrate on particular region of same game map at once, the game server exceed their threshold so that the system can be getting down. Conversely, the efficiency of system goes down considerably because the game server must perform map processing continuously even under user_empty situation. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a Map management method to control relatively normal distribution of users in game maps using Map Balance Server. In suggested model, we can reduce the load of game servers by means of turn off the game map processing temporary when a server is under user_empty situation. we also can maximize server performance by means of redistribution of map processing load among servers.

A Study on New Service Model Based on Centralized Conference Model in SIP Environment (SIP 환경에서의 중앙 집중형 컨퍼런스 모델 기반의 새로운 서비스 모델에 관한 연구)

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)-based centralized conference service model has advantage of easiness in conference management and service as compared to other models. However when media server which is one of the components of conference server is included in the conference server, this model shows disadvantage of high server work load with increasing numbers of conferences and participants. In this paper, to improve this problem, we have suggested and implemented a new conference service model in which an UA(User Agent) who first make the conference acts as a media server instead of conventional conference server and, the conference server with conference event package takes only part of management of the conference and its participants. Therefore, many more conferences can be held and managed compared to the conventional centralized conference service model because load of the conference server decreases in our suggested model md, furthermore the participants needs only make SIP call connections to the UA who first make the conference for establishing media session.

  • The mobile characteristics of the smart phone are well suited to on-the-site oriented services and are being utilized in a variety of ways. However, since most applications operate on a central server basis, Internet access is inevitable, and there are various problems such as an increase in server maintenance cost and security deterioration. Although researches have been proposed to utilize the smart phone itself as a server to improve it, these methods are based on downsizing the PC-based web server or modifying the smart phone kernel. These methods have the problems that a end user has to use the rooting, and they are not able to effectively utilize various communication means of a smart phone. In this paper, we propose a design and implementation of an application level smart phone web server. The server receives the document request from the remote via the Internet and in the local area using the WPAN. At this time, the web document is stored as an internal file structure of the smart phone application. We proposed the phttp protocol which uses server's phone number as ID for document request. Through the implementation, we analyzed the capacity and latency of stored data and its effectiveness is evaluated.

Implementation of Bi-directional Broadcasting System Using Interaction Channel (대화 채널을 이용한 양방향 방송 시스템의 구현)

  • In this paper. we design and implement a bi-directional broadcasting system, so called return channel server, to allow users to participate in a broadcasting program by using a hi-directional interaction channel. To provide user participation in a program and reflect the user's opinions or responses in real time, the return channel server can be viewed as consisting of four major functional modules: a control module, network interface module, DBMS module, and real-time content authoring module. To construct a return channel server that has a service independent architecture, we designed a return channel server to include the hierarchical structure. The presented return channel server consists of two parts: an RCSAE(return channel server application environment) and RCSA(return channel server application). An RCSA is composed of an execution code and a parameter for executing the execution code. RCSA defines the procedures for providing a specific broadcasting program using the return channel server. On the other hand, an RCSAE provides the environment for the execution of RCSAS. By adopting RCSAE and RCSA, we construct the return channel server that has a service-independent architecture which are shown by the test.

  • Previous research on data recovery in Microsoft SQL Server has focused on restoring data based on in the transaction log that might have deleted records exist. However, there was a limit that was not applicable if the related transaction log did not exist or the physical database file was not connected to Server. Since the suspect in the crime scene may delete the data records using a different deletion statements besides "delete", we need to check the remaining data and a recovery possibility of the deleted record. In this paper, we examined the changes "Page Allocation information" of the table, "Unallocation deleted data", "Row Offset Array" in the page according to "delete", "truncate" and "drop" events. Finally it confirmed the possibility of data recovery and availability of management tools in Microsoft SQL Server digital forensic investigation.

  • In the existing design of web server architecture, data encryption technique is used to keep the reliability, stability, and safety of web service. But the use of data encryption technique wastes the work of cpu while decreasing throughput of web server and increasing average response time so that it shows negative effect on the capacity of web application server. Also, the latest web applications require security and safety for the safe internet communication. Therefore, this paper suggests the improved web server which uses thread pool and Non-blocking I/O adding new web service modules to the existing web server for the safe web service, provides reliability and safety to show the safe web service capacity. And we compare and evaluate the safety and capacity through experiment on the existing traditional Tomcat based web server and the proposed system to evaluate the safety and capacity of the proposed web server system.

A Design of Mobile Web Server Framework for SOAP Transaction and Performance Enhancement in Web2.0 (웹2.0에서 SOAP 처리와 성능 향상을 위한 모바일 웹 서버 프레임워크의 설계)

  • Existing web server lowers the whole capacity of system because of the problem on the processing load of server by closing connection increasing code handshake operation, and remarkable decrease of server capacity if it is the state of overload. Also, there occurs disadvantages of increasing connection tine about client's request and response time because handling of client's multi-requests is not smooth because of thread block and it requests a lot of time and resources for revitalization of thread. Therefore, this paper proposes the extended web server which provides the technique for delay handling and improves the overload of server for better system capacity, communication support, and the unification which is the advantage of web service. And it evaluates the existing system(implemented at Tomcat 5.5) and the proposed mobile web server architecture. The extended server architecture provides excellent exchange condition for system capacity and evaluates improved web server architecture which combines multi-thread with thread pool. The proposed web service architecture in this paper got the better result of improved capacity benefit than the evaluation result of original Tomcat 5.5.
