응답면 기법에 의한 아치교량 시스템의 붕괴 위험성평가(I): 요소신뢰성 (Risk Assessment for the Failure of an Arch Bridge System Based upon Response Surface Method(I): Component Reliability)

  • Probabilistic Risk Assessment considering statistically random variables is performed for the preliminary design of a Arch Bridge. Component reliabilities of girders have been evaluated using the response surfaces of the design variables at the selected critical sections based on the maximum shear and negative moment locations. Response Surface Method(RSM) is successfully applied for reliability analyses for this relatively small probability of failure of the complex structure, which is hard to be obtained by Monte-Carlo Simulations or by First Order Second Moment Method that can not easily calculate the derivative terms of implicit limit state functions. For the analysis of system reliability, parallel resistance system composed of girders is changed into parallel series connection system. The upper and lower probabilities of failure for the structural system have been evaluated and compared with the suggested prediction method for the combination of failure modes. The suggested prediction method for the combination of failure modes reveals the unexpected combinations of element failures in significantly reduced time and efforts compared with the previous permutation method or system reliability analysis method.

  • 전지는 화학에너지를 기계적인 처리과정 없이 전기에너지로 직접 전환하는 장치이다. 부하전압과 부하전류의 용량에 따라 단위전지를 직.병렬 연결하여 사용하게 되며, 전지의 병렬운전은 단독운전 보다 전압강하를 더 천천히 발생시키므로 전압강하에 민감한 전력변환장치들의 효율에 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 병렬운전의 필요성과 장점 때문에 대부분의 축전지를 사용하는 시스템은 병렬운전을 하고 있고, 반면에 선.구 축전지 사이에서 순환 전류가 흐르고, 자가방전이 일어나는 단점 또한 가지고 있다. 신 축전지에서 충.방전 전류가 과다하게 흐르는 불평형 현상과 이로 인해 축전지의 수명단축을 일으키게된다. 본 논문에서는 마이크로 프로세서를 사용하여 선.구 축전지 사이의 볼평형 전류를 검출하고 외부저항을 첨가시켜 내부저항의 차이에 대한 감소효과를 얻어 불평형 전류를 보상하였다. 이를 실험을 통해 구현하였다.

  • This paper investigates the output powers of PV modules by predicting three unknown parameters: reverse saturation current, and series and shunt resistances. A theoretical model using the non-uniform physical parameters of solar cells, including the temperature coefficients, voltage, current, series and shunt resistances, is proposed to obtain the I-V characteristics of PV modules. The solar irradiation effect is included in the model to improve the accuracy of the output power. Analytical and Newton methods are implemented in MATLAB to calculate a module output. Experimental data of the non-uniform solar cells for both serial and parallel connections are used to extend the implementation of the model based on the I-V equation of the equivalent circuit of the cells and to extend the application of the model to m by n modules configuration. Moreover, the theoretical model incorporates, for the first time, the variations of series and shunt resistances, reverse saturation current and irradiation for easy implementation in real power generation. Finally, this model can be useful in predicting the degradation of a PV system because of evaluating the variations of series and shunt resistances, which are critical in the reliability analysis of PV power generation.

  • 고체의 소성변형을 설명하기 위하여 다음과 같은 가정을 하였다. (1) 고체의 소성변형은 크게 두 가지 기구 즉 dislocation 운동과 grain boundary 운동에 의하여 일어난다. (2) Dislocation 운동에 있어서 유동 단위들은 역학적 모형으로 나타내면 다종의 Maxwell 단위들의 평행연결형으로 되고 grain boundary 유동단위들도 다종의 Maxwell 단위들의 평행연결로 표현된다. 이를 물리적으로 설명하면 같은 부류의 유동단위들은 모두 같은 shear plane에서 같은 shear rate로 흐름을 의미한다. (3) Grain boundary 유동단위들과 dislocation 유동단위들 같은 서로 직렬 연결되어 있다. 이는 물리적으로 고체내에서 stress는 균일하게 작용하나 shear rate는 shear plane 의 종류(dislocation 운동면과 grain boundary 운동면)에 따라 달리 나타남을 의미한다. (4) Dislocation 유동단위들과 grain boundary 운동단위들의 운동은 그들의 흐름을 방해하는 장애물 근방의 원자 또는 분자들이 확산해 나가므로써 가능하게 된다. 이러한 가정하에 반응속도론을 적용하여 shear rate와 shear stress를 구하는 일반식을 도출하였다. 본 연구에서는 실제로 중요한 네가지 경우에 대하여 상기 도출한 일반식을 고찰하였다.

가전기기용전동기의 전자소음과 진동의 방지대책에 관한 연구 (Study on the Reduction Method of Magnetic Noise and Vibration in Home Electric Motors)

  • This study is to present a method for reductin of noise and vibration of home electric motors coupled to the mechanical load causing relatively big amplitude of vibration. The noise and vibration factors have been analysed in the divisions such as the pattern related to the armature reaction, the pattern related to the circulating current by induction and the other patterns those are affected by a dditive magnetic field and have an effect on mechanical constants. From the systematic mutual relations between the patterns and daping effects, it is possible to derive the fundamental measure for reduction of noise and vibration. Vibration measurements and analysis were carried out in accordance with the planned experimentation and thre object model was chosen randomly from the production line in a factory where home electric machines were mass-produced. Based on the above-mentioned fundamental measure, suppression effects on noise and vibration have been analysed according to the number of slots, the amount of rotor skew and the way the stator winding connection was series or parallel.

가로-세로 비율에 따른 염료감응형 태양전지의 최적 조건 도출 및 모듈 제조 (The Deduction of the Optimal Length to Width Ratio of Dye-sensitized Solar Cell and the Fabrication of a Module)

  • A novel 8 V DC power source with an external series-parallel connection of 50 Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSCs) has been proposed. One DSC has the optimized length to width ratio of $5.2{\times}2.6\;cm$ and an active area $8\;cm^2$ ($4.62{\times}1.73\;cm$) which attained a conversion efficiency of 4.02%. From the electrochemical impedance spectroscopic analysis, it was found that the resistance elements related to the Pt electrode and electrolyte interface behave like that of diode and the series resistance corresponds to the sum of the other resistance elements. Surface morphology and sheet resistance of Pt counter electrode did not degrade the performance of the cell. This novel 8V-0.33A DC power source shows stable performance with an energy conversion efficiency of 4.24% under 1 sun illumination (AM 1.5, Pin of $100\;mW/cm^2$).

  • This paper deals with an experimental study for Klippon reiay in Cheju-Heanam HVDC system Klippon relay was troubled many times for years, and Klippon relay's fault caused the HVDC system trip. So for several years, these reasons of Klippon relay fault were investigated. The malfunction of Klippon relay in Cheju-Haenam HVDC system has been caused by the incoming of random surge(current source and voltage source). This paper has stu야ed the theoretic리 analysis and experimental study of Klippon relay, and the solutions against the problems were suggested according to their causes. Among the problems, grounding problem was removed by one-point earth connection and by modification of grounding circuit. The effects of inrush current was removed by inserting the blocking diodes by series in Klippon relay circuits. Finally, The over-voltage induced on Klippon relay, by a relay excitation coil, was removed by inserting a free-wheeling diode in Parallel with the excitation coil.

코일의 직.병렬결합을 이용한 초전도 사고전류제한기의 동작전류 증가 (Increase of Operational Current in a SFCL using Series or Parallel Coupling of Coils)

  • 본 논문에서는 두 코일의 직 병렬결합을 이용한 초전도 사고전류제한기의 사고전류제한 특성을 분석하였다. 구조는 병렬 또는 직렬로 연결된 두 코일과 두 코일 중 하나와 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결되는 초전도 소자로 구성된다. 동작원리는 사고전에는 초전도 소자는 초전도 상태에 있어 병렬 또는 직렬로 연결된 두 코일에 의해 발생되는 자속은 서로 상쇄되어 두 코일에 유기되는 전압이 제로를 유지하게 되지만 사고가 발생할 경우 초전도 소자의 저항이 발생되어 두 코일에서 발생되는 자속은 더 이상 상쇄되지 않게 된다. 따라서 두 코일에 전압이 유기되고 이에 따라 사고전류를 제한하게 된다. 단락실험을 통해 두 코일의 직 병렬결합에 따른 사고전류제한 특성을 분석하였으며 분석을 동해 사고전류제한기의 동작전류를 증가시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

수직벽면형 무동력 태양열 시스템 작동성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the operating performance of facade installed natural circulation type solar thermal system)

  • The operation of the natural circulation type solar heating systems with facade integrated collector was analyzed by experiment. Two different types of flat plate solar collectors were used for these experiments. One was for the normal flat plate solar collector with the size of 1m*2m and the other was for the large size solar collector with $4m^2$(1m*4m). The experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of the series or parallel connection method on the performance of the collectors. As a result, the solar thermal system which is installed on the wall or facade would be applicable for the natural circulation type if the system design reflects various parameters, including collector connecting method(series or parallel), to provide enough vertical height between collector and storage tank, and to reduce pressure loss due to collector and piping network, etc. The natural circulation type of solar thermal system as proposed in this study can increase the system reliability by removing or minimizing the use of the components such as pump, controller, sensors which may cause serious troubles of the system for a long-time operation
