입력성형기법에 의한 2축 천정크레인의 잔류진동 감소 (Reduction of Residual Vibration for 2 Axes Overhead Crane by Input Shaping)

  • Input shaping is a method fur reducing residual vibration. Vibration is eliminated by convolving an input shaper, which is a sequence of impulses, with the desired system command. It has been applied to robot with a flexible manipulator. But it can be applied to the reduction of residual vibration far overhead crane. In this paper, input shaping shows good performance for anti-sway of overhead crane. In the z-domain, we designed an input shaper and calculated the sensitivity of it. If sensitivity is calculated in the z-domain, the shapes of sensitivity curves are expected easily. Accordingly, it is easy to design an input shaper in the z-domain. We compared the response of a system with shaper to it without that. Also, we compared El shaper to ZV shaper in view of robustness.

  • In this paper, a specification for wireless LAN MODEM using direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS) technique is presented. Some algorithms and hardware architectures for an efficient implementation of the DS/SS MODEM are suggested. In the method, all baseband signal processing are done digitally for single chip implementation. Schemes of DQPSK baseband modulation/demodulation, despreading with digital matched filter, digital timing recovery, and efficient carrier sensing are among the discussed algorithms. We also performed various kinds of simulations to evaluate the system performance and to extract parameters for hardware implementation. In addition, the pictorial view of ASIC of the SS MODEM is also shown.

  • This paper deals with a comparative evaluation of the reliability of control rod drive mechanisms including their driving methods for nuclear power plants. Basically there exist two types of electromagnetic-jack-type drive mechanisms in commercial use that are called as Control Rod Drive Mechanism and Control Element Drive Mechanism. Each type has corresponding drive sequence to make the movements of insertion and withdrawal. A state-space model is derived for each model graphically. Then the evaluation of the reliability is carried out on the programming tool called SHARPE. The evaluation does not give any meaningful numerical values for the reliability but just shows a relative degree to each other in view of reliability.

  • 이 논문은 행과 열이 작은 정사각형으로 이루어진 직사각형 틀 구조물의 견고성에 대하여 다룬다. 수학화(mathematising)의 관점에서 각의 변화를 이용하여 구조물의 견고성 여부를 결정하는 새로운 증명법을 제시하고 이를 활용하여 구조물의 견고성을 판단하는 한 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • The Level 1 probabilistic safety assessment(PSA) for Wolsong(WS) 2/3/4 nuclear power plant(NPPs) in design stage is performed using the methodologies being equivalent to PWR PSA. Accident sequence evaluation program(ASEP) human reliability analysis(HRA) procedure and technique for human error rate prediction(THERP) are used in HRA of WS 2/3/4 NPPs PSA. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the procedure and methodology of HRA in WS 2/3/4 NPPs PSA. Also, this paper describes the interim results of importance analysis for human actions modeled in WS 2/3/4 PSA and the findings and recommendations of administrative control of secondary control area from the view of human factors.

  • We developed a cement mill control system to improve performances of cement mill and conveyance facilities in view of TPM(Total Productive Maintenance). The system replaces the conventional sequence control relay panel and the mimic panel by the PLC(Programmable Logic Control) and the operation station with a monitor, respectively. In addition, the updated A3A CPU is added to the melsec PLC. All networks of the system are operated through ethernet communications. This system as a domestic product is setup at S company and outperforms other foreign products in views of operation efficiency and process stability.

  • The rheological behavior of a cordierite honeycomb extrusion paste was investigated by measuring torque values in a Brabender plastograph. The extrusion pastes were formulated using binder (methy cellulose, MC), solvent (water), plasticizer (ploy ethylene glycol, PEG) and lubricants (oleic acid, OA). The mixing sequence and optimum organic binder, at least for homogeneous mixed state, can be determined from the rheological point of view. 3%MC-30%$H_2O$-1.5%PEG-1.0%OA with respect to the cordierite powder was chosen as a binder composition for the extrusion process of cordierite powder.

Biological roles and an evolutionary sketch of the GRF-GIF transcriptional complex in plants

  • GROWTH-REGULATING FACTORs (GRFs) are sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factors that regulate various aspects of plant growth and development. GRF proteins interact with a transcription cofactor, GRF-INTERACTING FACTOR (GIF), to form a functional transcriptional complex. For its activities, the GRF-GIF duo requires the SWITCH2/SUCROSE NONFERMENTING2 chromatin remodeling complex. One of the most conspicuous roles of the duo is conferring the meristematic potential on the proliferative and formative cells during organogenesis. GRF expression is post-transcriptionally down-regulated by microRNA396 (miR396), thus constructing the GRF-GIF-miR396 module and fine-tuning the duo's action. Since the last comprehensive review articles were published over three years ago, many studies have added further insight into its action and elucidated new biological roles. The current review highlights recent advances in our understanding of how the GRF-GIF-miR396 module regulates plant growth and development. In addition, I revise the previous view on the evolutionary origin of the GRF gene family.

A Band Stop Filter for Pre-Processing Image Sequences

  • In this paper, we have proposed a band stop filter (BSF) for pre-processing of image sequences before encoding. By pixel-wise temporal filtering of the image sequences using the BSF, the bandwidth and noise of the signal are reduced, while preserving the image quality in view of human visual perceptions. As a result, when compared to the original image sequences, te pre-filtered image sequence requires lower bit-rates for encoding, while there is not much degradation in quality. Also, it has been shown that the proposed BSF causes less smearing and blurring than the conventional recursive low pass filter for bandwidth and noise reductions.

  • In this paper we present a new real-time visual servoing unit for laparoscopic surgery This unit can automatically control laparoscope manipulator through visual tracking of laparoscopic surgical tool. For the tracking, we present two-stage adaptive CONDENSATION(conditional density propagation) algorithm to extract the accurate position of the surgical tool tip from a surgical image sequence in real-time. This algorithm can be adaptable to abrupt change of laparoscope illumination. For the control, we present virtual damper system to control a laparoscope manipulator safely and stably. This system causes the laparoscope to move under constraint of the virtual dampers which are linked to the four sides of image. The visual servoing unit operates the manipulator in real-time with locating the surgical tool in the center of image. The experimental results show that the proposed visual tracking algorithm is highly robust and the controlled manipulator can present stable view with safe.
