Design and Implementation of 30" Geometry PIG

  • This paper introduces the developed geometry PIG (Pipeline Inspection Gauge), one of several ILI (In-Line Inspection) tools, which provide a full picture of the pipeline from only single pass, and has compact size of the electronic device with not only low power consumption but also rapid response of sensors such as calipers, IMU and odometer. This tool is equipped with the several sensor systems. Caliper sensors measure the pipeline internal diameter, ovality and dent size and shape with high accuracy. The IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) measures the precise trajectory of the PIG during its traverse of the pipeline. The IMU also provide three-dimensional coordination in space from measurement of inertial acceleration and angular rate. Three odometers mounted on the PIG body provide the distance moved along the line and instantaneous velocity during the PIG run. The datum measured by the sensor systems are stored in on-board solid state memory and magnetic tape devices. There is an electromagnetic transmitter at the back end of the tool, the transmitter enables the inspection operators to keep tracking the tool while it travels through the pipeline. An experiment was fulfilled in pull-rig facility and was adopted from Incheon LT (LNG Terminal) to Namdong GS (Governor Station) line, 13 km length.

  • 4차 산업혁명 시대를 맞아, 제조 기업들은 생산성 향상을 위해 축적된 설비 데이터를 활용하여 스마트제조를 실현하는 것에 높은 관심을 두고 있다. 하지만 기존의 설비 데이터 분석 연구들은 주로 센서 데이터 등 정형 데이터를 대상으로 하여, 실제 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 텍스트와 같은 비정형 데이터에 대한 분석 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 특히, 작업자가 수기로 작성한 텍스트 데이터를 활용한 사례는 매우 적었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 작업자가 수기로 작성한 설비 오류 데이터를 분석하여 연관 규칙 마이닝을 통해 설비 오류 발생 패턴을 도출하는 프레임워크를 제안하고자 한다. 이때, 일반적인 텍스트 분석 기법과 같이 단어를 분석 기준으로 사용하는 경우 전문 용어에 해당하는 설비 오류의 의미를 표현하는 데에 한계가 있다는 점에 착안하여 구절을 추출하여 텍스트 분석 기준으로 사용하였다. 제안하는 프레임워크의 성능을 실제 사례를 통해 검증하였으며, 본 연구 결과를 활용하면 설비 오류를 예방하여 가동률을 높이고 나아가 제조 기업의 생산성 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

FPD 장비 습식공정에서의 안전한 히터 공급 계통도 및 제어 회로 (Safety Schematic Diagram and Sequence of Heater in FPD Wet Equipment)

  • FPD(Flat Panel Display) WET(습식) 장비의 히터 사용은 필수로 사용된다. 히터 사용에 따른 단선과 과열로 인한 전기사고가 다발하여 안전적인 전기 계통도 및 인터락이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 FPD WET장비에 들어가는 전기 계통도 및 인터락을 제안하였다. 레벨센서, 과열방지기, SSR heater sink와 같은 하드웨어 인터락을 넣었으며, 전기 계통도로써는 ELB-MC-SSR-EOCR-Heater로 구성되어 있다. 인터락 발생시 마그네틱 컨텍터(MC)가 오프되어 Heater의 전원을 차단하는 방식이다. 전기적 과전류 보호장치인 EOCR 과전류, 부족전류, 단선 체크를 하면서 히터에 이상 있을 시 MC를 차단하는 인터락이 구성되어 있다. 이러한 회로 구성 및 인터락은 WET 장비 뿐만 아니라 히터가 들어가는 어떠한 장비에도 유용할 것으로 보인다.

  • This paper suggests wireless diagnosis and monitoring system using SMS mode of mobile communication network for distribution transformer which could prevent electrical accident in the near future. Data are acquired by measuring the temperature of insulator oil in the distribution transformer and load current. Data acquisition of sensor using mobile communication network carried out filtering of sensor's output to optimize the size of send data Merit of this inspection method is that management, control and monitoring some transformers can be carried out using only one server. This inspection method will be the way of inspection to be worth spotlight in the near future because it is able to solve easily with the minimum facility inspection about state of transformer which is operating, to wide coverage about machine's wrong operation in other field.

They are not so precision to detect a fire in the early phase to protect the facility form the fire. We need to develope a new high precision smoke detection system to keep expensive industrial facilities most reliably form fire. A new optical precision smoke detection system was developed. It monitors very low level density of smoke particles in the air. It is operated continously through many years without a stop or any malfunction. The developed precision smoke detection system will be installed in important industrial facilities, such as power plants, underground common tunnel, main control rooms, computer rooms etc.

  • In this paper, the rheological chances in sensitive materials was investigated by using QCA(Quartz Chemical Analyzer). Langmuir-Blodgett method was used to transfer sensitive material to the quartz crystals because of its facility to control that amount, and deposited sensitive material has uniformity to compare with other methods respectively. For the gas sensor using mass loading effect of quartz crystal microbalance, generally the Sauberary equation has been believed to represent the only mass loading effect. But when the organic gas is adsorpted into sensitive material, the rheological changes are occurred with different pattern as to the kinds of gases. Thus, much simpler method to identify the organic or hazard gas will be obtained by the consideration of resonant frequency changes and resonant admittance changes simultaneously.

자율주행 자동차를 위한 측위 보정 표지 연구 (A Study on Position Correction Sign for Autonomous Driving Vehicles)

  • 자율주행차량은 차량에 장착된 다양한 센서를 통해 주행환경을 인지하고 수집된 정보를 기반으로 판단 및 제어한다. 센서 기술 및 수집된 데이터를 처리하는 알고리즘의 발달로 자율주행기술의 수준은 향상되고 있으나 완벽한 자율주행기술의 구현에는 이르지 못하고 있는 한계점을 인프라를 중심으로 하는 자율협력주행을 통해 극복하려는 움직임을 보인다. 본 연구에서는 자율주행차량의 측위를 보정할 수 있는 인프라로서 기준을 제공하는 측위 보정 표지를 개발하였다. 우선 기존의 자율주행을 위한 측위 기술 현황에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 다음으로 정사각형의 반사면 두 개로 구성된 1차 제작물과 각 반사면의 상하 길이를 늘인 2차 제작물에 대해 포인트 클라우드 개수를 측정하는 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 1차 및 2차 제작물 모두 최소 15m 거리에서 시설물을 라이다 센서로 인식할 수 있었고, 상하 길이를 확장한 2차 제작물이 1차 제작물보다 포인트 클라우드 개수도 더 많으며 시설물의 형상을 구체적으로 표현하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 기술을 활용한 무인감시체계 연구 (A study on unmanned watch system using ubiquitous sensor network technology)

  • "Ubiquitous sensor network" definition is this-Someone attaches electro-magnetic tag everything which needs communication between man to man, man to material and material to material(Ubiquitous). By using attached every electro-magnetic tag, someone detects it's native information as well as environmental information such as temperature, humidity, pollution and infiltration information(Sensor). someone connects it realtime network and manage generated information(Network). 21st century's war is joint combined operation connecting with ground, sea and air smoothly in digitalized war field, and is systematic war provided realtime information from sensor to shooter. So, it needs dramatic development on watch reconnaissance, command and control, pinpoint strike etc. Ubiquitous computing and network technologies are essential in national defense to operate 21st century style war. It is possible to use many parts such as USN combined smart dust and sensor network to protect friend unit as well as to watch enemy's deep area by unmanned reconnaissance, wearable computer upgrading soldier's operational ability and combat power dramatically, RFID which can be used material management as well as on time support. Especially, unmanned watch system using USN is core part to transit network centric military service and to get national defense efficiency which overcome the dilemma of national defense person resource reducing, and upgrade guard quality level, and improve combat power by normalizing guardian's bio rhythm. According to the test result of sensor network unmanned watch system, it needs more effort and time to stabilize because of low USN technology maturity and using maturity. In the future, USN unmanned watch system project must be decided the application scope such as application area and starting point by evaluating technology maturity and using maturity. And when you decide application scope, you must consider not only short period goal as cost reduction, soldier decrease and guard power upgrade but also long period goal as advanced defense ability strength. You must build basic infra in advance such as light cable network, frequency allocation and power facility etc. First of all, it must get budget guarantee and driving force for USN unmanned watch system project related to defense policy. You must forwarded the USN project assuming posses of operation skill as procedure, system, standard, training in advance. Operational skill posses is come from step by step application strategy such as test phase, introduction phase, spread phase, stabilization phase and also repeated test application taking example project.

화학물질관리법상의 유해화학물질 안전관리 개선방안 연구 : 안전성평가 사례 중심 (Development on the Safety Management System of Hazardous Chemicals under the Chemicals Control Act: Focusing on Safety Assessment System)

  • Chemicals Control Act have been strengthened to control more safely hazardous chemicals from 2015. In particular, the standards for the installation and management of handling facilities was enhanced with specific regulations depending on type of the facilities and the hazardous chemicals. However, some standards for handling facilities caused difficulties in implementing the strengthened standards due to various field conditions, such as lack of physical space. The Ministry of Environment is implementing Safety Assessment System (SAS) to solve these problems since 2018. However, many plants have difficulties in preparing alternative methods to pass the safety evaluation. The purpose of this study was to review and analyze the SAS and to suggest alternative measures in terms of management and technical aspects through the case study of hydrochloric acid storage tanks. The following safety solutions were suggested for handling facilities that had insufficient the space and capacity for the retaining wall due to physical space. Firstly, insufficient space was resolved by introducing equipment relocation or demolition, and retaining wall expansion. Secondly, the wall of the surrounding buildings was used as an alternative to the retaining wall with additional chemical resistant treatment. Finally, sensor installation and facility inspection were suggested as ways to improve chemical safety. Therefore, improvement of chemical accident prevention system is required not only in terms of facilities supplementation but also management aspect. The results of this study are expected to be available for similar facilities and will be based on the preparation of additional safety assessment as alternatives measures in the future.
