  • This paper considers the application of Fuzzy Logic to Smart Decision process of Smart Sensor system that interprets and response to the change of environmental parameters. The considered system consists of three sensors: temperature sensor, humidity sensor and pressure sensor. The smartness of system is constituted by the applying of Fuzzy Logic. The paper discusses the technical details of the application of Fuzzy Logic for making the system to be smarter.

  • There are several ways to solve parking problem in the downtown. One of them is to manage parking efficiently, that is, to raise use-efficiency of parking place and to help in the block efficiently, it can prevent disproportion that some parking space is over capacity and the other parking one is under. It causes not only the disproportion of economic efficiency but also the congestion of local road. The precondition to manage parking efficiently is to analyse the parking characteristics. In this paper we build up total D/B by collecting every information about parking space. We developed the Parking Management System by using RFID and Sensor. The efficient Parking Management System is for convenience of drivers and efficient usage of parking space. And this system is also the basic study to be developed as the total Parking Management System by upgrading every information.

  • COMS will transmit its observed data, Sensor Data, through L-Band with linear polarization. To avoid link loss caused by polarization discrepancy between satellite and SOC DATS, the L-Band antenna at SOC DATS should be linearly polarized. However, SOC DATS is supposed to share single antenna with SOC TTC, so the antenna should be circularly polarized. To cope with about 3dB loss, SOC DATS is designed to receive Sensor Data through two orthogonal circular polarizations, RHCP (Right-Hand Circular Polarization) and LHCP (Left-Hand Circular Polarization). Eventually, SOC DATS can obtain 2.6dB of combining gain through diversity combiner in MODEM/BB. This paper presents the verification on the diversity combining of SOC DATS with test configuration and results in depth.

Field-Curvature Correction According to the Curvature of a CMOS Image-Sensor Using Air-Gap Optimization

  • Lens designers generally refer to flat image fields and attempt to minimize the field curvature. Present-day CMOS image sensors for mobile phone cameras, however, are not flat, but curved. Sometimes it is necessary to generate an intentional field curvature according to the degree and direction of the CMOS image-sensor’s curvature. This paper presents the degree of curvature of a CMOS image sensor measured using an interferometer, and proposes an effective compensation method that minimizes the net field curvature through optimizing the air gap between lens elements, which is demonstrated using simulations and experiments.

  • In conventional direct torque control (DTC) using space-vector modulation (SVM) of induction machine (IM) drives, at least three current sensors are needed. In this paper, a low-cost SVM-DTC strategy is proposed, in which only a single current sensor is used. The position of the voltage space vector is divided into two areas: effective and non-effective area. If it is located in the non-effective area, the voltage space vector will be shifted into the effective area with minimum distortion. Further, the switching frequency remains constant. The simulation is carried out on a MATLAB/Simulink platform and the simulated results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

  • 본 논문에서는 레이더와 원격측정시스템으로부터 수신되는 다중센서자료를 모사하는 시뮬레이터 설계와 이들 자료를 융합하기 위한 알고리듬 개발에 대하여 소개한다. 설계된 데이터 시뮬레이터는 실제 센서 시스템으로부터 얻게 되는 시간의 비동기, 통신지연, 다중 갱신주기들을 갖는 모의센서 자료를 생성하며 실제적인 센서 모델을 이용하여 측정 잡음을 생성한다. 융합알고리듬은 센서 바이어스 상태를 고려한 PVA모델을 기초로 21차 분산형 칼만 필터로 설계되었고, 센서의 이상이나 정상적이 아닌 측정치를 검출하기 위한 로직도 포함되었다. 설계된 알고리듬을 시뮬레이터에서 생성한 모의 자료 및 실제 자료를 적용하여 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 과학기술위성2호 핵심우주기술시험용 탑재체 중 하나인 정밀디지털 태양센서(FDSS)의 개발에 관한 것이다. 정밀 디지털 태양센서는 국내에서 CMOS-Image sensor(CIS)를 이용한 최초의 디지털 태양센서로서, 성능시험과 우주환경시험을 거쳐 비행모델 개발이 완료되었다. 본 논문은 FDSS 구성과 광학부 설계결과 및 태양광의 광학적 특성 분석결과, 그리고 Solar simulator를 이용한 보정결과 관하여 기술한다.

  • 무인기에 대한 관심이 급증하면서 무인기 충돌회피에 대한 많은 연구가 진행 중이다. 충돌회피를 위해서는 무인기 주변에 대한 상황인식이 이루어져야하며 이를 위해 라이더, 영상 카메라, 레이저 센서, 그리고 초음파센서 등이 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MB 1230 초음파 센서를 이용하여 초음파 센서의 특성을 분석하였다. 또한, 동시에 다수 초음파 센서를 사용할 경우 센서간의 간섭영향으로 정확한 거리 측정값을 획득하지 못함을 확인하였다. 이러한 초음파 센서 신호 간섭을 해결하기 위해 다수의 초음파 센서를 동시에 작동시키는 것이 아니라 초음파 센서의 Enable 신호 입력단을 이용하여 각 초음파 센서를 순차적으로 활성화시킴으로써 초음파 센서간의 간섭을 해결하는 방안을 제안하였으며 실험을 통해 제안한 방안의 효과를 확인하였다.

Vibration Measurement and Flutter Suppression Using Patch-type EFPI Sensor System

  • An optical phase tracking technique for an extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer (EFPI) is proposed in order to overcome interferometric non-linearity. Basic idea is utilizing strain-rate information, which cannot be easily obtained from an EFPI sensor itself. The proposed phase tracking system consists of a patch-type EFPI sensor and a simple on-line phase tracking logic. The patch-type EFPI sensor comprises an EFPI and a piezoelectric patch. An EFPI sensor itself has non-linear behavior due to the interferometric characteristics, and a piezoelectric material has hysteresis. However, the composed patch-type EFPI sensor system overcomes the problems that can arise when they are used individually. The dynamic characteristics of the proposed phase tracking system were investigated, and then the patch-type EFPI sensor system was applied to the active suppression of flutter, dynamic aeroelastic instability, of a swept-back composite plate structure. The proposed system has effectively reduced the amplitude of the flutter mode, and increased flutter speed.

홈 헬스케어를 위한 무선센서네트워크 라우팅 프로토콜 디자인 및 평가 (Design and evaluation of wireless sensor network routing protocolfor home healthcare)

  • A home healthcare system based wireless sensor network, which can continuously monitor and manage the elderly's electrocardiogram(ECG) signal at any space at home without space limit is proposed. The communication coverage of wireless network is expended by multi-hop wireless sensor network. In order to send the elderly's ECG data wirelessly, a small size ECG sensor node was designed to forward the ECG data over multi-hop relay network. The packet acquired by mobile ECG node is transmitted through wireless intermediate nodes to base station for analyzing the packet reception rate. Modified minimum cost forwarding(MMCF) protocol and flooding protocol are designed and implemented to check the transmission efficiency of a packet in a wireless sensor network. The developed MMCF protocol shows an advantage of high reception rate by reduced network traffic.
