  • There are always possibilities for conflicts among individuals, between individuals and groups, and among groups because of the complex and diverse nature of contemporary society. Some form of bodyguard is required to protect oneself from this constant possibility of conflicts and thus the concept of security was developed to meet the needs of one's safety. Furthermore, the increase in the number of crime and intellectual crimes now threatens not only the people with power, fortune, reputation but also all citizens. Meeting the need for safety became a challenging task for the world and a security-related industry as well as security-related careers were born. Therefore, schools and security institutions must provide education and training to nurture morality and stable psychological condition for their students/trainees. In order to offer them such working and educational environments, utilizing the sixth-sense the five senses is recommended and it is called security psychology training. This study identifies the psychology, the five senses, and the sixth sense of bodyguards while on duty and explores the training and education contents to utilize the sixth sense.

  • In this paper, we observe that secure tweakable permutation families in the sense of strong pseudorandom permutation (SPRP) can be transformed to secure permutation families in the sense of SPRP against related-key attacks (SPRP-RKA). This fact allows us to construct a secure SPRP-RKA which is the most efficient to date. We also observe that secure function families of a certain form in the sense of a pseudorandom function (PRF) can be transformed to secure permutation families in the sense of PRP-RKA. We can exploit it to get various secure constructions against related-key attacks from known MAC algorithms. Furthermore, we define other security notions for related-key attacks, namely indistinguishability and non-malleability, and look into the relations between the security notions fur related-key attacks. We show that secure tweakable permutation families in the sense of indistinguishability (resp. non-malleability) can be transformed to secure permutation families in the sense of indistinguishability (resp. non-malleability) against related-key attacks.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of using cervical spinal stabilization exercise for the improvement of pain intensity, cervical range of motion, neck disability index, reposition sense, muscle tenderness with chronic neck pain in private security. For 21 patients diagnosed with chronic cervical pain and divided into cervical spinal stabilization exercise group and postural correction exercise group. Each exercise was conducted for 8 weeks. Pain and neck disability index were measured before and after exercise using the visual analogue scale(VAS) and the neck disability index(NDI). Range of motion were measured electronic goniometer, muscle tenderness of upper trapezius ad sternocleidomatoid were measured algometer, reposition sense were measured reposition panel before and after exercise. After 8 weeks of exercise, the cervical stabilization exercise group pain and neck disability were significantly decreased(p<0.05). Also there was significant difference in both group(p<0.05). In addition, range of motion, muscle tenderness reduce rate, reposition sense were significantly increase as compared to the pre-post exercise in cervical stabilization exercise group(p<0.05). But there was no significantly difference in postural correction group before and after exercise(p>0.05). And there was significantly increase more cervical stabilization exercise group than postural correction exercise group in range of motion, muscle tenderness reduce, reposition sense. In summary, cervical spinal stabilization exercise is more effective in improving cervical range of motion, muscle pain, reposition sense in private security on chronic cervical pain patients, in reducing patients' pain and disability. It is an effective treatment to aid rehabilitation in these cases.

  • As the importance of Knowledge Management System (KMS) in the military increases, Republic of Korea Army (ROK Army) developed Army Knowledge Portal. Although the members in the military are encouraged to use the portal, few members currently use it. This study was conducted to find variables to predict the user's intention to use the portal, which contributes to activating the use of Army Knowledge Portal in the army. On the basis of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), ten variables such as perceived ease of use, general information security awareness, information security awareness, expectation for external rewards, expectation for relationships, sense of self-worth, attitude toward compliance with security policy, attitude toward knowledge sharing, intention of non-combat knowledge sharing, and intention of combat knowledge sharing were considered as independent variables. 105 participants on active duty who currently use or have experience to use the portal participated in this study. The results indicated that general information security awareness and information security awareness increases compliance with the information security policy. In addition, the attitude toward knowledge sharing is enhanced by expectations for relationship and sense of self-worth. Based on the results, the authors propose the need for policy alternatives to reinforce the reward system and security policy, which activates the use of Knowledge Portal Service for ROK Army.

  • Korean social structure is changing by leaps and bounds caused by industrialization, urbanization and information. Because of this, the sense of value, and moral consciousness of Korean people have been edteriorating and all kinds of social evils have been increasing also. However, the police who ought to be in charge of public well-being, security, social order are not playing their role on account of bad working conditions, and lack of budget. For this reason, individuals are desirous of preserving their security and lives at their cost. Private security has emerged at this background.

  • Provable security has widely been used to prove a cryptosystem's security formally in crpytography. In this paper, we analyze the Cramer-Shoup public key cryptosystem that has been known to be provable secure against adaptive chosen ciphertext attack and argue that its security proof is not complete in the generic sense of adaptive chosen ciphertext attack. Future research should be directed toward two directions: one is to make the security proof complete even against generic sense of adaptive chosen ciphertext attack, and another is to try finding counterexamples of successful adaptive chosen ciphertext attack on the Cramer-Shoup cryptosystem.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the structure of nursing needs during labor pain as perceived by women who have given birth. The phenomenological perspective of qualitative research theory guided the approach to the study. The sample consisted of 20 women who had undergone normal labor and had delivered a healthy baby at term. Collection of data was by means of in-depth interviews conducted 1-2 days after delivery in the admission room from March to may 1998. On average, the interviews lasted for about 30 minutes. Interviews were taken with the consent of the subjects. Data were analyzed by means of Giorgi's method and categorized according to the similarities of their contents. The investigator read the data repeatedly to identify themes and categories. Four categories were : 1) a sense of security 2) self esteem 3) willingness to learn 4) a sense of comfort. Under these categories there were twelve themes. I. A sense of security : (a) presence (b) conversation (c) touching II. Self esteem : (a) praise (b) encouragement (c) treating the women with respect (d) caregiver with good character III. Willingness to learn : (a) teaching (b) information IV. A sense of comfort : (a) self controlled pain relief (b) artificially controlled pain relief (c) skillfulness of caregiver The findings should sensitize nurses to the various needs of women in labor who are under their care. Further research should focus on developing instruments to assess the nursing needs of parturients. Researchers also need to identify ways to assess women's satisfaction with nursing needs.
