  • Generally, vehicle is insulated from the earth by rubber tire which is intrinsically the insulation material. The electrical ground of vehicle was floated in the sense of electric potential over the electric power sources. First of all, the floated electrical ground of vehicle should be equipotentially connected with the (-) line of electrical equipment. Bimodal tram has the different kinds of electric system. They must be kept insulated to each other electrically. When there is some unbalanced event or connection between them, it will invoke some errors or breakdown to electrical devices including sensors and actuators. This paper has investigated the floating ground effect of bimodal tram built with composite body and shown the effect according to the unbalanced ground of vehicle and the connection between different electric systems.

  • This study is a literature research on critical mathematics education. In this study, we analyzed the literature about critical theory and critical education, especially focused on Freire's educational works. And also, we reviewed studies and lesson examples about critical mathematics education. The purpose of this research is to improve understanding about critical mathematics education. We found the connection between the goals, teaching methods and contents of critical mathematics education and Freire's theory of critical pedagogy. Critical mathematics lessons stimulated student's sense of social agency and induced student's inquiry. Critical mathematics education has a merit on aspect of mathematical connection and communication by adopting social issues and student's discussion in mathematics lessons. Although there are many obstacles to overcome, critical mathematics education is one of the educational direction to seek.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effects on self-regulated learning ability and sense of community in the relationship between parents' neglect and children's academic achievement. The subjects used in this study were 2,218 6th grade elementary school students from the third wave sample of the 2012 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS). For data analysis, the three-step mediated regression analysis by Baron and Kenny (1986) was performed and the Sobel test was carried out in order to verify the effectiveness of mediation effects. The main results of the present study were as follows. First, the self-regulated learning ability and sub-component factors of achievement value, mastery goal orientation, behavioral control, academic time-management revealed to have a partial mediation effect in the relationship between parents' neglect and children's academic achievement. Second, the sense of community also showed to have a partial mediation effect on the relationship between parents' neglect and children's academic achievement. The findings of this study provide a viewpoint to deeply observe the problem of parents' neglect in connection with children's self-regulated learning ability and sense of community, and can be used as practical data to develop various programs for the benefit of improving children's academic achievement.

  • A canonical Finsler connection Nr is defined by a generalized Finsler structure called a (G, N)-structure, where G is a generalized Finsler metric and N is a nonlinear connection given in a differentiable manifold, respectively. If NT is linear, then the(G, N)-structure has a linearity in a sense and is called Berwaldian. In the present paper, we discuss what it means that NT is with a vanishing hv-torsion: ${P^{i}}\;_{jk}\;=\;0$ and introduce the notion of a stronger type for linearity of a (G, N)-structure. For important examples, we finally investigate the cases of a Finsler manifold and a Rizza manifold.

  • This paper gropes how to connect philosophy of household management(PHM) to real life. PHM is to think and to act for better quality of life, so PHM should contain not only theory but also practice in itself. In that sense, PHM is consist of two parts: one is viewpoints how to deal with home management and the other is practice. This paper presents 5 main viewpoints of PHM. Then, it explains PHM can connect with education of human nature, and ecological value in PHM can connect with practice of life. Also, it proposes a guide for practice.

  • We prove that a non-empty separable metrizable space X admits a totally bounded metric for which the metric dimension of X in Assouad's sense equals the topological dimension of X, which leads to a characterization for the latter. We also give a characterization based on this Assouad dimension for the demension (embedding dimension) of a compact set in a Euclidean space. We discuss Assouad dimension and these results in connection with porous sets and measures with the doubling property. The elementary properties of Assouad dimension are proved in an appendix.

  • This study studies the effect of student teacher's sense of humor, psychological well-being and ego-resilience by general characteristics and by examining the correlation with each other and influences. A sample of 323 student teachers was obtained from a college and a university in the Busan area. This study made use of an research instrument which was a questionnaire for sense of humor(Woo, 2008), psychological well-being(Lee, 2006) and ego-resilience(Park, 1997). For the data analysis connection analysis and regression analysis, SPSS version 18.0 was used. The results of study are as follows. First, student teachers have scores which are above average scores of sense of humor, psychological well-being and ego-resilience. Second, there was a positive correlation between the sense of humor and ego-resilience and a low grade variable of ego-resilience of student teachers and their sense of humor and psychological well-being and between their psychological well-being and ego-resilience. Third, When a multilinear regression analysis was made to confirm which variable would affect ego-resilience, sense of humor and a low grade variable of their was found to exert a statistically significant impact by 5%, and psychological well-being and a low grade variable of their was found to exert a statistically significant impact by 26%. Based on the results, the education training or programs for student teacher to use the sense of humor and psychological well-being should be developed according to the ego-resilience.

  • Virtual communities have been suggested to play important roles such as attracting customers, building customer loyalty, and leading to commercial transactions. Little research in marketing has focused on virtual communities in spite of its importance indicated by many practitioners and conceptual studies. More specifically, little research has empirically examined factors of customer participation and its consequences. This research investigate if customers' participation motives in virtual communities affect their sense of community and if sense of community affects customers' loyalty towards and purchase intentions from the website offering the community service. One hundred ninety six questionnaires were collected from individuals who have participated in and have been involved in online activities in various virtual communities. Major results of this research can be summarized as follows. First, participation motives employed significantly affected customers' sense of community and more specifically, perceived ease of use and perceived playfulness had a large influence on the customers' sense of community. Second, customers' sense of community positively affected their loyalty toward the community and more specifically, membership and emotional connection had a large influence on loyalty. Third, customers' sense of community did not affect directly their purchase intentions. Fourth, customers' loyalty toward virtual communities had a significant, positive, although marginal, influence on their purchase intentions.

  • In this study the author analysed impact of image of regional festival on satisfaction of tourists and their intention for revisit through an example of firefly festival in Youngyang-kun. Current Firefly Festival of Youngyang is its fifth since its beginning. Unlike festivals in other areas it is held during daytime and nighttime respectively. In it natural environment and ecosystem in Youngyang area are highlighted and it is unique in the sense that such festival is performed with live insects. Festival is organized with various sights to see including experiencing flying fireflies in nighttime and making insects etc. In this study the author analysed impact of image of regional festival on satisfaction of tourists and their intention for revisit. In this connection this author chose 20 items in connection with image of regional festival. Then I carried out analysis on various factors in connection with tourists as appeared in regional festival. I performed analysis on diversity, experience, convenience, conveyance of content of festival and its creativity as factors constituting satisfaction of tourists in connection with image of regional festival. Result of analysis undertaken in this study revealed that image of regional festival and satisfaction of tourists who experienced festivals served to their expressing intention for revisiting. For inducing tourists intention for revisiting image of regional festival, conveyance of diverse information, diversity of program of the festival, new experience, sense of expectation are important. Therefore this is need for development of environment and ecosystem friendly programs and it should be developed as a consistent environment friendly festival rather on temporary touch- and-go event.

  • The force resisting ability of a connection has direct implications on the overall response of a timber framed structure to various actions, thereby governing the integrity and safety of such constructions. The behavior of timber framed structures has been studied by many researchers by testing full-scale-connections in timber frames so as to establish consistent design provisions on the same. However, much emphasis in this approach has been unidirectional, that has focused on a particular connection configuration, with no research output stressing on the refinement of the existing connection details in order to optimize their performance. In this regard, addition of adhesive to dowelled timber connections is an economically effective technique that has a potential to improve their performance. Therefore, a comparative study to evaluate the performance of various full-scale timber frame Nailed connections (Bridled Tenon, Cross Halved, Dovetail Halved and Mortise Tenon) supplemented by adhesive with respect to Nailed-Only counterparts under tensile loading has been investigated in this paper. The load-deformation values measured have been used to calculate stiffness, load capacity and ductility in both the connection forms (with and without adhesion) which in turn have been compared to other configurations along with the observed failure modes. The observed load capacity of the tested models has also been compared to the design strengths predicted by National Design Specifications (NDS-2018) for timber construction. Additionally, the experimental behavior was validated by developing non-linear finite element models in ABAQUS. All the results showed incorporation of adhesive to be an efficient and an economical technique in significantly enhancing the performance of various timber nailed connections under tensile action. Thus, this research is novel in a sense that it not only explores the tensile behavior of different nailed joint configurations common in timber construction but also stresses on improvising the same in a logical manner hence making it distinctive in its approach.
