The AZO thin films were deposited on the corning 1737 glass plate by the RF magnetron sputtering and effects of working pressure and oxygen contents on the electrical properties were investigated. XRD spectra showed a preferred orientation along the c-axis and a minimum FWHM for the 70mTorr. From the surface analysis (AFM), the number of crystal grain of AZO thin film increased as working pressure increased. The film deposited with 70mTorr of working pressure showed n-type semiconductor characteristic having suitable resistivity $-1.59{\times}10^{-2}{\Omega}cm$, carrier concentration $-10.1{\times}10^{19}cm^{-3}$, and mobility $-4.35cm^2V^{-1}s^{-1}$ while other films by 7 mTorr, 20 mTorr of working pressure closed to metallic films. The films including the oxygen represent stoichiometric composition similar to the oxide. The transmittance of the film was over 85% in the visible light range regardless of the changes in working pressure and oxygen contents.

Evaluating the impurity concentrations in semiconductor thin films using time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) is an effective technique. The mass interference between isotopes and matrix element in data interpretation makes the process complex. In this study, we have investigated the doping concentration of phosphorus in, phosphorus doped silicon thin film on glass using ToF-SIMS in the dynamic mode of operation. To overcome the mass interference between phosphorus and silicon isotopes, the quantitative analysis of counts to concentration conversion was done following two routes, standard relative sensitivity factor (RSF) and SIMetric software estimation. Phosphorus doped silicon thin film of 180 nm was grown on glass substrate using hot wire chemical vapor deposition technique for possible applications in optoelectronic devices. Using ToF-SIMS, the phosphorus-31 isotopes were detected in the range of 101~104 counts. The silicon isotopes matrix element was measured from p-type silicon wafer from a separate measurement to avoid mass interference. For the both procedures, the phosphorus concentration versus depth profiles were plotted which agree with a percent difference of about 3% at 100 nm depth. The concentration of phosphorus in silicon was determined in the range of 1019~1021 atoms/cm3. The technique will be useful for estimating distributions of various dopants in the silicon thin film grown on glass using ToF-SIMS overcoming the mass interference between isotopes.
Zinc-oxide (ZnO), II-VI semiconductor with a wide and direct band gap (Eg: 3.2~3.4 eV), is one of the most potential candidates to substitute for ITO due to its excellent chemical, thermal stability, specific electrical and optoelectronic property. However, the electrical resistivity of un-doped ZnO is not low enough for the practical applications. Therefore, a number of doped ZnO films have been extensively studied for improving the electrical conductivities. In this study, Ti-doped ZnO films were successfully prepared by atomic layer deposition (ALD) techniques. ALD technique was adopted to careful control of Ti doping concentration in ZnO films and to show its feasible application for 3D nanostructured TCO layers. Here, the structural, optical and electrical properties of the Ti-doped ZnO depending on the Ti doping concentration were systematically presented. Also, we presented 3D nanostructured Ti-doped ZnO layer by combining ALD and nanotemplate processes.
Zinc oxide is a direct band gap wurtzite-type semiconductor with band gap energy of 3.37eV at room temperature. the n-type doped ZnO oxides, B doped ZnO (BZO) is widely studied in TCOs materials as it shows good electrical, optical, and luminescent properties. we focused on the fabrication of B doped ZnO films with glass substrate using the LSMCD at low temperature. And Novel boron-doped ZnO thin films were deposited and characterized from the structural, optical, electrical point of view. The structure, morphology, and optical properties of the films were studied as a function of by employing the XRD, SEM, Hall system and micro Raman system.
The ZnO thin films doped with Ga(GZO) and both Ga and Ge(GZO:Ge) were deposited on glass substrate by using RF sputtering system respectively. Structural, morphological and optical properties of the films deposited in the same condition were investigated. Structural properties of the films were investigated by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, FE-SEM images and X-ray diffraction, XRD analysis. These studies showed shape of films' surface and direction of film growth respectively. It's showed that all films were deposited by vertical orientation strongly. It can be confirmed that all dopants of targets were included in deposited films by results of EDX analysis. UV-Vis spectrometer results showed that all samples had highly transparent characteristics in visible region and have similar 3.28~3.31 eV band gap. It was found that existence of all dopants by EDX analysis. Morphology and roughness of surface of each film were clearly shown by Atomic Force Microscopy, AFM images. It was found in this research that film doped with Ge more dense and stable with hardly any difference in gap energy compared to ZnO films.
Ga-doped ZnO (GZO) films were deposited by an RF magnetron sputtering method on glass substrates using ZnO as a target containing 5 wt% $Ga_2O_3$ powder (for Ga doping). The structural, electrical, and optical properties of the GZO thin films were investigated as a function of the substrate temperatures. The deposition rate decreased with increasing substrate temperatures from room temperature to $350^{\circ}C$. The films showed typical orientation with the c-axis vertical to the glass substrates and the grain size increased up to a substrate temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ but decreased beyond $350^{\circ}C$. The resistivity of GZO thin films deposited at the substrate temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ was $7{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm$, and it showed a dependence on the carrier concentration and mobility. The optical transmittances of the films with thickness of $3,000{\AA}$ were above 80% in the visible region, regardless of the substrate temperatures.

A Q-switched diode-pumped neodymium-doped yttrium vanadate (YVO4, λ =1064nm) laser was used for the direct patterning of indium tin oxide (ITO) films on glass substrate. During the laser direct patterning, the laser beam was incident on the two different directions of glass substrate and the laser ablated patterns were compared and analyzed. At a low scanning speed of laser beam, the larger laser etched lines were obtained by laser beam incident in reverse side of glass substrate. On the contrary, at a higher scanning speed, the larger etched pattern sizes were found in case of the beam incidence from front side of glass substrate. Furthermore, it was impossible to find no ablated patterns in some laser beam conditions for the laser beam from reverse side at a much higher scanning speed and repetition rate of laser beam. The laser beam is expected to be transferred and scattered through the glass substrate and the laser beam energy is thought to be also dispersed and much more influenced by the overlapping of each laser beam spot.
ITO/GZO double layered thin films were prepared on transparent glass substrates. Ga-doped ZnO(GZO) films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering using an ZnO:Ga (98: 2 wt%) target. The post deposition annealing process was conducted for 30 minutes at different temperature of 100, 200, 300 and $400^{\circ}C$, respectively. As increase annealing temperature, ITO/GZO double layered thin films show the increment of the prefer orientation of ZnO diffraction peak (002) in the XRD patterns. We obtained Ga-doped ZnO thin films with a lowest resistivity of $1.84{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}-cm$ at $400^{\circ}C$ and transparency above 80% in visible ranges. The figure of merit obtained in this study means that ITO/GZO double layered thin films which annealed at $400^{\circ}C$ have the highest optoelectrical performance in this study.
We prepared Al doped ZnO thin film as a top electrode on a glass substrate with a deposited $Alq_3$ for the top emission organic Light emitting device (TEOLED) with facing target sputtering (FTS) method and radio-frequency (RF) sputtering method, respectively. Before the deposition of AZO thin film, we evaporated the $Alq_3$ on glass substrate by thermal evaporation. And we evaluated the damage of organic layer. As a result, PL intensity of $Alq_3$ on grown by FTS method showed higher than that of grown by RF sputtering method, so we found that the FTS showed the lower damage sputtering than RF sputtering. Therefore, we can expect the FTS method is promising the low-damage sputtering system that can be used as a direct sputtering on the organic layer.
AZO/Ag/AZO multi-layer films deposited on glass substrate by RF magnetron sputtering and thermal evaporator have a much better electrical properties than Al-doped ZnO thin films. The multi-layer structure consisted of three layers, AZO/Ag/AZO, the electrical and optical properties of AZO/Ag/AZO were changed mainly by thickness of Ag layers. The optimum thickness of Ag layers was determined to be $90{\AA}$ for high optical transmittance and good electrical conductivity. The Ag layers thickness $90{\AA}$ is an optical transmittance greater than 80% of visible light and the obtained multilayer thin film with the low resistivity of $8.05{\times}10-3{\Omega}cm$ and the low sheet resistance $5.331{\Omega}/sq$. Applying to TCO and Solar electrode will improve efficiency.
