A primal-dual interior point method(IPM) not only is the most efficient method for a computational point of view but also has polynomial complexity. Most of polynomialtime interior point methods(IPMs) are based on the logarithmic barrier functions. Peng et al.([14, 15]) and Roos et al.([3]-[9]) proposed new variants of IPMs based on kernel functions which are called self-regular and eligible functions, respectively. In this paper we define a new kernel function and propose a new IPM based on this kernel function which has $O(n^{\frac{2}{3}}log\frac{n}{\epsilon})$ and $O(\sqrt{n}log\frac{n}{\epsilon})$ iteration bounds for large-update and small-update methods, respectively.

The Purpose of this study is to analyze the financial statements of ocean-going shipping companies that have experienced financial difficulties since the global financial crisis. Specifically, the study conducts comparing major firm with small and medium-sized firm from fianancial point of view, analyzes the different trends of two groups. As a result, this paper finds the different characteristics between two groups. There were known many financial difficulties in ocean-going shipping companies, but this is not applied to small and medium-sized firm group. Small and medium-sized firm group grew soundly and slowly during research period. But major firm group experienced the deficit and their management condition has deteriorated considerably during that period. To cope with this difficulties, major firm group should take self-effort to improve fianacial structure and establish the risk management system.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore women's actual experiences of Dan Jeon Breathing after a cancer operation with a view to gaining a deeper understanding of their individual experiences and the meaning that it holds for them. Methods: A phenomenological approach was used for this study. Data were collected using in-depth interviews. Study participants were 8 women aged $32{\sim}53$ years who have were practicing Dan Jeon Breathing over the 3 months after cancer operation. The method proposed by Colaizzi (1978) was used to guide the process of data analysis. Results: Themes which emerged from the data were: 'feeling of self-confidence', 'positive acceptance', 'expectation', and 'enervation'. Conclusions: This study provides us with an understanding on the practice and the process of Dan Jeon Breathing for cancer women to overcome cancer Therefore, women who have had an operation for cancer can pursue Dan Jeon Breathing as a nursing intervention.

The home network, contributing to improve the quality of life in dwelling, has expanded its installation and use in past years, but the elderly care system supporting self-reliance is not fully prepared. Although the aging society in Korea is progressing rapidly, inducting and spreading home network system is still required supporting of 'Aging in Place' for the elderly. This research is based the survey of spatial characteristics of housing of the elderly. Also, the research studied the technical level and policy of home network in domestic and abroad and analyze the professional view of experts in the home network field, as a result, suggested methods of building and activating the home network system.

The luminance and operating voltage were measured during OLED operation for the purpose of analyzing the efficiency and change of internal resistance. The half lifetime of OLED was affected by degradation of OLED due to heat generated by ambient temperature and self heating. The operating voltage constantly increased due to the increase of internal resistance. The half lifetime of OLED driven by constant current source was found to be longer than that of the OELD driven by constant voltage and the reasons were clearly explained in this paper.

Recently, underground transmission system is growing continuously according to the electric power demand increase in the downtown area. Even if domestic cable makers are manufacturing 154kV oil filled cable and joint, the design technology of cable-joint has not been fully self-reliance. This study is aimed at the detail heat transfer analysis of 154kV cable-joint. So, that is cut into the five sections in order to analyze a conjugate natural convection in two dimensional $r-{\theta}$ coordinate. The streamline and temperature distributions are obtained for each sections. Also the changes of those are analyzed with respect to the variation of transmission currents and cable-joint surface heat transfer coefficients. The same analyses are also shown in view point of the maximum temperature of conductor and local equivalent conductivity.

Conjugated diacetylene supramolecules are interesting biomimetic materials in view of application to chemical and label-free biological sensors. These supramolecules are unique in changing color from blue to red upon specific binding events. Various binding events including viruses, toxins, glucose, and ionic interactions have been reported detectible. Here, we focus on fabrication of polydiacetylene supramolecule dot array patterns on solid substrates by using a conventional microarrayer. Each dot is found to possess the color-changing property as well as the fluorescence self-emission. This technique allows us, for the first time, to fabricate biochips based on polydiacetylene supramolecules. Label-free detection of small molecules and biological targets will be discussed.

The tensegrity structure by prestressed cable, which may have large freedom in scale and form and therefore are received much attention from the view points of their light weight and aesthetics, is a very flexible and geometrically unstable structure because the cable material has little initial rigidity. For the stable self-equilibrated state of the usually very deformable structure, the method to find the optimal initial stress by the shape analysis is proposed in this paper. The proposed procedure is to derive the nonlinear finite element formula of cable and truss members considering geometric nonlinearity and used to modified load incremental method adding to Newton-Raphson method with the proposed condition for optimal initial stress. The result of the shape analysis for the tensegrity structure with the radius of 30m is shown the almost approximated shape to architectural shape and the changed procedure of initial stress

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among the beliefs of parents and children, children's cognitive and emotional behavior based on cognitive and interreactionary approach models. The Subjects were 138 children (68 eight-year-olds and 70 eleven-year-olds) and their parents. Instruments used in this study were the modified Family Belief Interview Schedule(Alessandri & Wozniak, 1987), the Standard Achievement Test, and Harter's Perceived Competence Scale. Data analysis was by Pearson's r product moment correlation, two-way ANOVA, Fisher-Z test and Student-Newman-Keuls post-hoc test. The major findings are as follows: (1) The beliefs of parents and children has a significant influence children's perception of competence. (2) The congruence of parents' and children's beliefs was hightest in "assumed similarity". (3) Mother's positive view of their children and congruence of mother's and father's beliefs were correlated with children's academic achievement. Parents' positive beliefs and congruence of beliefs were also correlated with children's self-perception of competence.

At the economical crisis of Korea in 1997, self-determined price for apartment and the revision increasing the ratio of residential area for mixed-use residential building were introduced to activate the construction industry, which causes construction companies to build super high rise apartment discriminative and high class orientated. This study aims to classify the super high rise building which is planned to build or built recently and to analyze the architectural characteristics. The objects are 288 unit households in 26 apartment complexes higher than twenty five story since 1998. As a result, super high rise building comparing with existing apartments were being varied in plan types of main building and unit household and in construction types. As for the plan, the number of walls having opening to outdoor were increased and it is considered that high rise building can take advantage of a view, lighting and sunshine. The location of living room that used to be in the center of unit in existing apartment was moved freely without rule.
