문제음주 대학생을 위한 자기결정성증진 절주프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Effectiveness of Drinking Reduction Program Focused on Self-Determination Enhancement for College Students with Problematic Drinking)

  • Purpose: This study examined the impact of a drinking reduction program on drinking motivation, drinking refusal self-efficacy, and problematic drinking behaviors in college students with problematic drinking habits. Methods: This study incorporated a non-equivalent control group prepost-test design. Study participants included 58 college students who scored 12 or more in the AUDIT-K test (Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test-Korean version) (experimental group: 30; control group: 28). The intervention consisted of eight sessions and was conducted once a week. It was designed to promote autonomy, competence, and relatedness-the three elements of basic psychological needs in self-determination theory. The participants were assessed before the intervention, immediately after, and four weeks post intervention. Data were collected from October 12 to December 31, 2017. The analysis employed the chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, and repeated measures ANOVA using SPSS/WIN 22.0. Results: The mean age of participants was 21.8 years. There were 30 men (51.7%) and 28 women (48.3%). The differences in drinking motivation, drinking refusal self-efficacy, and problematic drinking behaviors were statistically significant for the group by time interaction (F = 42.56, p < .001; F = 54.96, p < .001; F = 39.90, p < .001, respectively). Conclusion: The findings indicate that the intervention effectively decreases drinking motivation, increases drinking refusal self-efficacy, and decreases problematic drinking behaviors. It can be an efficient strategy for college students with problematic drinking habits to enhance their self-determination ability.

자기결정성 동기에 따른 학업반감 특성에 관한 연구: 고등학교 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 (Characteristics of Academic Hatred Explained by Self-Determination Motivation: A Study of High School Seniors)

  • 본 연구는 학업반감에 영향을 미치는 자기결정성 동기의 다섯 가지 하위 요인의 상대적 영향력을 검증하기 위해 실시되었다. 수능을 1달 앞 둔 서울, 인천, 경기 소재 8개 고교에 재학중인 고등학교 3학년생 938명(여학생 535, 57.0%)을 대상으로 위계적회귀분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 분석에서는 자기결정성 수준이 낮은 동기요인부터, 즉 무동기-외적조절-내사적조절-확인적조절-내재적조절의 순서대로 투입되었다. 그 결과, 최종적으로 무동기, 내사적 조절은 학업반감에 정적인 영향을 미치고 내재적 조절은 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 무동기, 외적 조절, 내사적 조절을 투입하였을 때 학업반감에 유의한 영향력을 미치지 않던 내사적 조절은 확인적 조절을 투입한 이후부터 유의한 영향을 보이기 시작하였으며, 확인적 조절은 내재적 조절이 투입되자 전 단계에서 보이던 유의한 영향력이 사라졌다. 본 연구는 자기결정성이론에 근거하여 학업반감의 동기적 특성을 밝힌 첫 연구라는 의미를 지니며, 이에 대한 한계 및 학교상담에서의 개입전략과 함의점, 후속 연구에서의 방향성 등을 제시하였다.

대학생 자원봉사자가 지각한 슈퍼바이저의 자율성지지, 자원봉사동기 및 지속의도 간의 관계 분석 (The Relationships Between Perception of Supervisors' Autonomy Support, Volunteer Motivation and Persistence Intentions Among Collegiate Volunteers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 제주지역사회에서 자원봉사활동에 참여하는 515명의 대학생을 대상으로 슈퍼바이저의 자율성지지, 자원봉사동기 및 지속의도간의 인과관계를 분석하는 것이었다. 상관관계분석, 공변 량구조분석을 통하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 자원봉사동기들은 서열화 된 상관패턴을 보여 주었다. 둘째, 자원봉사자가 지각하는 슈퍼바이저의 자율성 지지는 자율적 동기인 내재적 동기와 확인적 조절동기에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤고, 통제적 동기(내사적, 외적 조절동기)에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였으며, 무동기에는 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 자율적 동기인 내재적 동기, 확인적 조절동기들은 향후 자원봉사활동 지속의도에도 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 확인적 조절의 외재적 동기가 지속의도의 최적 예측변인으로 나타났다. 자원봉사영역에서 자기결정이론의 응용가능성과 유망성에 대하여 논의하였다.

그릿과 성실성이 학업 수행에 미치는 영향: 자기결정성 동기의 매개효과 (Effects of Grit and Conscientiousness on Academic Performance : The Mediation Effects of Self-Determination Motivation)

  • 장기 목표에 대한 열정과 인내를 의미하는 그릿(Grit)은 학업을 포함한 다양한 수행을 성공적으로 예측하는 변인으로 주목받고 있으나, 개념적으로 유사한 성실성과 어떤 관련성이 있는지에 대한 경험적 연구가 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구는 그릿과 성실성이 자기결정성 동기를 통해 학업수행에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다. 355명의 대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시한 결과, 그릿과 성실성이 모두 학업성적을 예측하였으며 이 때 내적 동기의 매개효과가 나타났다. 그러나 그릿은 성실성을 통제했을 때도 동일한 매개효과가 나타난 반면, 성실성은 그릿을 통제했을 때 동기 및 학업성적에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 이러한 결과는 두 개념이 서로 유사한 부분을 공유하지만, 공통적인 부분을 통제했을 때는 그릿이 보다 강력한 동기 및 행동을 유발하는 역할을 할 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 그릿과 성실성을 비교 관찰하여 그릿에 대한 이해를 확장했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 향후 연구로서 그릿의 변별성 확립을 위한 그릿 척도의 재정비를 제안하였다.

고등학생의 자기결정성 동기, 운동만족, 운동지속의도의 관계 (A Study on the Relationship between Self-Determination Motivation, Exercise Satisfaction, and Exercise Continuation Intention in High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 고등학생의 자기결정성 동기가 운동만족, 운동지속의도에 미치는 영향 관계를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2022년 3월을 기준으로 서울, 경기지역의 고등학교에 재학 중인 남학생 440명을 대상으로 온라인 설문지를 배포하여 자기평가기입법을 통해 설문을 작성하도록 하였다. 같은 패턴의 응답, 미완성된 응답 등 불성실한 응답자 94부를 제외한 346부를 유효 표본으로 선정하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 24.0와 IBM AMOS 18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 확인적요인분석, 상관관계분석을 진행하였으며, 요인 간 구조적 관계를 파악하기 위하여 구조방정식모형 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 자기결정성 동기 요인 중 유능성, 관계성은 운동만족에 정(+)의 영향을 주지만, 자율성은 운동만족에 부(-)의 영향이 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 고등학생의 자기결정성 동기와 운동지속의도는 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 운동만족과 운동지속의도의 관계에서는 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Enhancing Workplace Performance Across Banking Distribution Networks: The Role of Self-Leadership and Intrinsic Motivation in Mitigating Procrastination Behavior

  • Purpose: This research delves into the relationship between self-leadership and procrastination behavior in banking distribution networks. Based on the self-determination theory, the study explores how organizational commitment mediates the relationship between these variables. Moreover, the research considers the vital role that intrinsic motivation plays in enhancing and reinforcing these connections. Research design and methodology: Using data from 384 bank employees and partial least squares structural equation modeling, the research found evidence to support the theory. This methodological approach enabled the investigation to uncover the intricate links between self-leadership, procrastination behavior, organizational commitment, and intrinsic motivation. Results: The findings strongly support the hypotheses, indicating a negative association between self-leadership and procrastination behavior at the workplace; conversely, a positive correlation was found between self-leadership and organizational commitment. The discovery further strengthens the results that intrinsic motivation amplifies the positive relationship between self-leadership and organizational commitment. Conclusions: This research underscores the importance of cultivating a culture of self-leadership among banking distribution network employees. By doing so, procrastination can be substantially reduced, enhancing both productivity and overall performance. The study's insights are particularly valuable for organizational leaders in the banking sector, as they provide actionable pathways to foster a more committed, motivated, and efficient workforce.

자기결정성이론에 근거한 신장이식환자의 자가간호행위 구조모형 (Structural Equation Modeling of Self-Care Behaviors in Kidney Transplant Patients Based on Self-Determination Theory)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test a hypothesis explaining direct and indirect relationships among the factors affecting self-care behaviors of kidney transplant patients, based on self-determination theory. Methods: Data were collected from 222 outpatients with kidney transplantation. The endogenous and exogenous variables of the hypothetical model consisted of healthcare provider's autonomy support, duration after kidney transplantation, basic psychological need satisfaction, autonomous and controlled motivation, depression, and self-care behaviors. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. Results: The hypothetical model demonstrated a good fit: RMSEA=.06, SRMR=.04, TLI=.94, CFI=.97. Statistically significant explanatory variables for the self-care behaviors of kidney transplant patients were duration after transplantation and basic psychological need satisfaction. Healthcare provider's autonomy support was indirectly significant, while autonomous motivation, controlled motivation and depression were not statistically significant for self-care behaviors. The variables accounted for 59.5% of the self-care behaviors of kidney transplant patients. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop an autonomy support program for healthcare providers to enhance the self-care behaviors of kidney transplant patients. Preventing the deterioration of self-care behaviors will be possible by conducting this program at one year and six years post-transplantation. In addition, the results suggest the need to developing personalized autonomy support programs for healthcare providers that can meet the basic psychological need satisfaction of kidney transplant patients.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify a Structural Equation Model that constructed the causations among the leisure constraints, leisure. motivation, and leisure participation. This model posits that constraints determine motivation to participation. Concretely, structural and interpersonal leisure constraints(contextual factors) will affect interpersonal leisure constraints in the light of ecological perspective. Also, leisure constraints will affect leisure motivation based on self-determination theory that may influence leisure participation indirectly. A survey questionnaire was administered to 301 elderly in an institution for the elderly. A measurement model and a structural equation model estimates by Maximum Likelihood method(ML method) utilizing LISREL 8.0 ver. The analysis showed that a goodness of fit is good of structural equation model presented in the study. And, all hypothesis adopted about causations among the leisure constraints, leisure motivation, leisure participation.

자기결정성이론과 학습몰입이론을 적용한 MOOC 지속사용의도에 관한 연구 : 한·중 문화차이 분석 (A Study on the Intention of Continuous use of MOOC Applying Self-Determination Theory and Learning Flow Theory : Focused on Differences between Korean and Chinese Culture)

  • Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is online education that anyone can register for free and has internet access. MOOC is also called Education Revolution and is spreading rapidly all over the world. Although recent MOOC high-quality classes may enhance the value of MOOC, MOOC learning still needs much research. Since MOOC has low learning completion rate and continuous use rate, various studies on the reasons that learners give up at the beginning of learning have not been tried yet This research is studied for the continuous intention of use of MOOC applying self-determination theory and learning flow theory based on technology acceptance model. In particular, the research are conducted for cultural difference in continuous usage of MOOC between Korean and Chinese. The research results show that self-determination theory applying perceived autonomy, perceived competence, and perceived relatedness and learning flow is useful to explain continuous use of MOOC. The research also shows that Hofstede theory works well in explaining the cultural difference between Korea and China in continuous usage of MOOC. The result shows that korean is more influenced by perceived external motivation like perceived usefulness and chinese is more influenced by internal motivation like learning flow in continuous use of MOOC.

  • In the post-pandemic era, colleges and students keep passion for learning online sine its unique advantages. This study explores how students' basic psychological needs drawn from self-determination theory, connect to interaction, and learning engagement in the context of online learning. While prior research explored students' intentions, digital interactions, and engagement in online learning, this study aims to come up with a united conceptual model drawing the three basic psychological needs and interaction and their effects on learning engagement. 178 response data collected through a questionnaire survey, were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Findings indicate that online learning interaction enhances intrinsic motivation, leading to higher learning engagement. Autonomy emerges as the most influential psychological need on learning engagement. This study integrates self-determination theory with online learning interactions and engagement and offers practical insights. Future research should examine long-term outcomes and diverse student populations.
