세단 승용차량 트렁크용 휠체어 수납 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wheelchair Storage System Mounted on the Trunk of the Sedan Passenger Car)

  • Wheelchair users experience difficulty when using transportation. This is because wheelchair users must use transportation means together with wheelchairs. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a wheelchair storage system for passenger's car trunk. The mechanism is designed to allow a wheelchair and the device to be housed simultaneously in the narrow space of the trunk of the sedan passenger car. Additionally, this wheelchair storage system has implemented an initial load reduction mechanism that can mechanically reduce the initial load. This wheelchair storage system verified the system's operability through the production of the prototype. This system was actually installed in the trunk of the sedan passenger's car to verify the storage process. The operation and storage process of the wheelchair storage system was been perfectly verified. This wheelchair storage system will help a lot of self-driver or an assistant (female or elderly) who use wheelchairs.

  • Sound transmission from the luggage comparment into the car cabin is important in the viewpoint if exhaust and road noises of passenger cars. In this paper, acoustic modal coupling between passenger and luggage compartments through loudspeaker holes at parcel shelf is dealt with for a sedan type passenger car with rigid rear seat. For these purposes, a half-scaled model car is tested and computed by the indirect BEM. Predicted acoustic transfer functions are compared with experimental ones and they agree reasonably well. It is found that the fore-aft resonance frequencies of the passenger cavity in the absence of coupling holes are tend to shift to higher frequencies when the luggage compartment is coupled to the passenger cavity.

Peugeot 607 경유승용차의 매연여과장치 특성 분석 (A Study on the Characteristics of DPF System of Peugeot 607 Diesel Passenger Car)

  • DPF technology has been considered as one of the most effective methods for reducing diesel particulate emission. PSA Peugeot Citroen introduced the DPF equipped diesel passenger car, Peugeot 607 HDI Sedan, in 2000 for the first time in the world, in which SiC filter, an oxidation catalyst, cerium based fuel born catalyst and post-injection technology were used for PM regeneration. In the present study, the characteristics of the Peugeot 607 DPF system were studied on chassis dynamometer and real road driving conditions. The change of emissions and fuel economy during 80,000km operation were also tested. Additionally, ash contents accumulated in the DPF filter was analyzed and particle size distributions was investigated after running of 80,000km.

  • This paper investigates the influence on the aerodynamic performance of a passenger cruising very fast by some specific car body parts such as side mirrors, wheel arches and wheels designed hardly regarding aerodynamics. The magnitude of the contribution of each part is analyzed via on the CFD simulations. YF SONATA, a sedan of Hyundai Motors Company, plays a major role as the baseline car in this research, representing all passenger car. The CFD analysis condition consists of 6 different cases depending on whether each part exists or not. According to the CFD results, there were confirmed that additionally to the body parts' own drag, the car body went through somewhat the consequential increment of the drag by them. Among the 3 parts, wheel is the magnate that not only has the maximal drag but drives the drag of the passenger car to increase most steeply and the next is the side mirror.

향후의 승용차 차체 스타일 비례의 변화 예측 (A Prediction of Change on the Body Style Proportion of the Future Passenger Cars)

  • 승용차의 차체 비례는 시간의 경과와 시장에서의 승용차 특성 변화에 따라 변화되어 왔다. 일반적으로 세단형 승용차에서 캐빈의 비례는 승객을 위한 공간이라는 의미에서 더욱 중요성을 가진다. 그러나 이러한 캐빈의 비례도 각각의 모델의 컨셉트에 따라 변화되어 왔다. 국내 승용차의 캐빈 비례는 초기모델에서 통일된 전략이나 방향성을 보이지 않으나, 후기 모델에 가서는 특정한 비례로의 통일성을 보이고 있다. 이들 비례는 3박스 구조로 나뉘어 있는 차체의 소형과 준중형의 세단형 승용차에서는 축간 거리와 그린하우스의 비례가 각각 58%와 57%이며, 중형 승용차에서는 두 비례 모두 56% 정도로 계산되는데, 이것은 실내 공간 비례가 중형승용차보다 소형과 준중형이 더 높은 것을 알 수 있다. 소형 승용차와 세단형 승용차의 실내공간 비례는 향후에도 증가하여 60%의 비율에 근접할 것으로 예측되며, 이 경향은 중형 세단형 승용차에서도 나타날 것으로 보인다.

한국에서의 포스트 세단의 개념 고찰 (An Observation of a Concept of the Post Sedan in Korea)

  • 우리나라의 자동차 산업은 최초의 고유모델 포니 이후 28년여의 기간동안 빠른 성장을 보이며 많은 고유모델 차량을 개발하였다. 초기에는 외국의 모델을 도입하는데 의존했으나, 점차로 기술개발의 독자성을 확보하게 되었다. 다양한 고유모델의 개발과 품질 향상으로 이제 자동차는 우리나라의 주요 수출품목이 되었다. 외국의 모델을 도입하던 단계에서는 우리나라에서 요구되는 특성이 차량에 반영되지는 못하였으나, 점차로 독자성을 가지는 차량을 개발해 나가는 과정 속에서 외국의 승용차와 구분되는 특성을 반영한 패키지 레이아웃에 의한 변화된 형상을 가지게 되는 것이 고유모델에서의 특징이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 국내 개발의 세단형 승용차의 특징은 한국의 생활양식이나 특성을 반영하는 요소를 가진다. 이것으로 향후의 우리나라의 고유모델 세단형 승용차가 외국의 승용차들과는 구분되는 특징을 가지게 될 것으로 예측되며, 지금까지 발전해 온 유형의 세단형 승용차들과는 차이를 보이는 형태가 될 것으로 예측된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 변화가 차체 형태에서 반영되어 나타나는 '포스트 세단'의 특징을 살펴보았다.

비정상 상태 운전 시 정면충돌에서의 상해 분석 (Analysis of Driver Injuries Caused by Frontal Impact during Abnormal Driver Position)

  • Recently, the driver can be assisted by the advanced active safety devices such as ADAS from road traffic risks. With this system, driver and passenger may freed from can driving tasks or kept eyes on forward direction while on the road. Help from adoptive cruise control, auto parking and newly develped automated driving vehicles technologies, the driver positions will vary significantly from the current standard driver position during the travel time. On this hypothesis, the objective of this study is analyze the behavior and injuries of drivers in the event of frontal impact under these abnormal driver position. Based on the KNCAP frontal impact testing method, this simulation matrix was set-up with dummies of 5 th tile female Hybrid III dummy and 50 th tile male Hybrid III dummy. The small sedan type passenger car was modeled in this simulation. The series of simulation was performed to compare the injuries and behaviour of each dummy, varying the seating status and seat position of each dummy.

  • In this study, there is an investigation about the sound quality of automotive horn that attached to luxury sedans. In order to define a questionnaire of horn sound quality the factor analysis is conducted. Ten automotive horns are selected for this research and ten passenger cars(nine is luxury sedan and one economy class car). Luxury is used for the questionnaire as an attribute for the sound quality of car horn. The interior noises for ten test cars are recorded and used for the subjective analysis of car horn sound. In the paper, new sound metric for the car horn sound is presented. The new sound metric is used for the objective sound index for the prediction of subjective sound quality of car horn.

  • In this study, an air cleaner is considered to improve comfort, safety, and health of automobile passengers. The performance and installation conditions of the air cleaner have been studied to investigate their effects on the air quality in the cabin room using numerical analysis. A five-passenger sedan and a seven-passenger minivan that have comparatively large indoor volume have been considered. The distributions of the local mean age and the volume averaged age of indoor air are calculated according to the variation of the placement and the air flow of the air cleaner. In addition, a decrease of contamination concentration, especially VOCs(volatile organic compounds), by the air cleaner is numerically analyzed with time-accurate unsteady calculation to quantify the effect of the air cleaner on the indoor air quality. As a result, the effective installation and operation conditions of the air cleaner for the automobile cabin room could be suggested.

Van 형 차량의 보행자 충돌 사고 해석 모델 (Analytical Model in Pedestrian Accident by Van Type Vehicle)

  • The fatalities of pedestrian accounted for about 40.0% of all fatalities in Korea (2005 year). In pedestrian involved accident, the most important data to inspect accident is throw distance of pedestrian. The throw distance of pedestrian can be influenced by many variables, such as vehicular frontal shape, vehicular impact speed, the offset of impact point, the height of pedestrian, and road condition. The trajectory of pedestrian after collision can be influenced by vehicular frontal shape classified into sedan type, box type, SUV type and van type. Many studies have been done about pedestrian accident with passenger car model and bus model for simple factors. But the study of pedestrian accident by van type vehicle was much insufficient, and even that the influence of multiple factors such as the offset of impact point was neglected. In this paper, a series of pedestrian kinetic simulation were conducted to inspect relationship between throw distance and multiple factors with using PC-CRASH s/w, a kinetic analysis program for a traffic accident for van type. By based on the simulation results, multi-variate regression was conducted, and regression equation was presented.
